Hello there-
I'm new here, and happy to see this board up. I've been posting here and there on some of the discussion boards on BT. You guys seem to be quite a friendly group.
My son, Isaac is 26 mo and Sofie, our new addition, is just a few days away from 4 mo.
Talk more later.

Good Monday Morning everyone!!!! I can't believe I am up so early! It's 7 am here and I am exhausted! I haven't been sleeping well the past few days. We've gone to bed past midnight and I am wide awake at 6am. Elizabeth doesn't usually get up until 8 or 8:30, so I guess it is kind of nice to have some peace and quiet for a couple hours. We had a good weekend, I guess. Friday night, we went out with a couple that DH has met through work. Nice couple. They have an 18 month old little girl. This little girl they have is so smart! At 18 months, she says her abc's, can count to 10, has a VERY big vocabulary, can sing songs from Hickory Dickory Dock to Mary had a little lamb, she knows all the animal sounds (Ruff for a dog to Neigh for a horse to Baa for a sheep, etc. etc.) she speaks in complete sentences too. I was really amazed. Okay, you guys tell me... is that really advanced or was it just me??? I felt like I wasn't working with Elizabeth enough (even though I read to her twice a day, amongst many other activities!) I know, I Know... I shouldn't compare children!! Here is a question for everyone: What kinds of things are your kids doing right now? Anyway, back to the subject: It was great to get out with adults! We did the "big grocery shopping trip" all day Saturday. We went to Sam's Club and the regular grocery store. We now have food in the house... yea! That's all I need to do is eat! LOL! We tried a new church yesterday morning and then yesterday afternoon, I did alot of chores around the house. One of those chores was cleaning out Elizbeth's closet and dresser. I boxed up 3 boxes of clothes, shoes, pj's, etc. that were too small. I couldn't believe it! She's growing too fast and I can't keep up!!! Boy, this parenting stuff is expensive! LOL! Okay, now that I have rambled on way too long... on the the personals.....

Cynthia, My goodness!! Did you get the t.v., fridge, and the van fixed? And you had to break in your own house?? What a Friday!!! How is Adam doing?

Julianne, AF didn't treat you too good, did she? Poor Colton... throwing up everywhere in his bed! Is he better? Finger painting, huh? It sounds like he's rebelling already with green hair! LOL!

Rita, I sure wish your weekend went better!!! You must be so exhausted! Are you staying home today? Poor little Amy! How is she doing? How did the camping trip go w/ DH and Maddy? Oh, I just HAD to get a package of Milano's at the store this weekend. I read your post from Friday and was suddently craving them! Mmmm!

Leanne, How was your bike ride this weekend? That sounds like such a fun family outing!

Tracey, Where were you? I waited all weekend for you to show up and fix me a mexican dinner. That's okay... I guess I'll live! How did your weekend go? Any major disasters? HOw are you feeling? I hope better!

Debbie, Enjoy your week!! Good luck to DH!!!

Jayme, Hello and welcome!!! I went to your website and you have some cute boys! I must say, you guys did a great job on the website!

Sarah, Welcome and congrats on your little one!

Okay... here are some questions for everyone:
First of all... A few of us know each other from posting on the BT board. But, there are some new people and I though it would be nice for everyone one to tell us where you are from. I live in Fort Collins, CO but I also call GA and Okla. my home. I am a 24 year old first time mom as well as a SAHM. I get my adult interaction from... you guessed it... you guys!! No, just kidding... I do have somewhat of a life but really enjoy this site.

Another question: I was thinking about when to have another child. For those of you with 2 kids that are about 2 years apart, any thoughts? I was thinking about spacing our children 2 to 3 years apart. I wouldn't mind having another child in 9 months... but that would probably be too difficult... I don't know. Any other thoughts about this?

Well... I have been quite the blabber mouth today. I better go, you guys are probably tired of me already! You all have a great Monday and take care!!

I almost forgot...

Beth, Yes... I remember you posting on Pregnancy today... in fact, I got the LandEnd Deluxe Diaper bag. I still use it and love it! I think what I like most is the durability. I wish I had all 3 of their diaper bags: the BIG one for week-long trips and the small one for going out to eat. I have another brand of the small one... but it's not Lands End!
Kelli... again!

Hello everyone, Julianne here. At least I had a good weekend to make up for last week. I went to a Creative Memories workshop Friday night and DH watched Colton. DH had fun with him. He video-taped Colton doing his WWW wrestling moves on his huge stuffed dog (bigger than he is). Colton throws the dog down, jumps on him and just grins. Of course DH is egging him on the entire time.

Saturday we had a few friends over for volleyball. Had a good time until I went to put Colton to bed. He started coughing and then threw up again on me & the carpet. I am used to it, but my friend/neighbor Dawn, started gaging and about threw up herself. I just about started laughing. Anyway, I had to shower again before I could go back outside!

Sunday my sister had her baby baptized. We were sitting right up front. Colton was showing off to all the people behind us. We couldn't get him to turn around. When the music started he started to dance with his hands. It was so cute.

Sorry for rambling on and on and on like that!

Cynthia: Counds like you had quite a bad week. I hope everthing stays fixed for a very long time.

Rita: So DH took Maddy fishing with him. Did he realize you weren't coming? Hope everything went great and Maddy catches lots of fish. Have fun at home with Amy. Hope her fever stays away.

Leanne: Have fun planning Veronica's b-day party. Mine for Colton was way too hectic. I did everything: lunch, cake, presents, video and pictures. I wanted to make it special, but tried to do too much. Enjoy your bikeriding. Colton is not a good sleeper. He gets up 1-2 times a night still. He usually only throws up when he get his cough that comes everytime he teeths. Not fun!

Tracey: Your DH is very sweet to take care of you when you aren't feeling well.

Sarah: Welcome to you, Isaac & Sofie.

Hope everyone has a great start to their week.

Good morning from Rita. (Is it morning? Is it good?)

We survived the weekend, barely. It's a toss as to who had the most stressful time. Maddy had a blast with Larry and he came home utterly worn out. She wouldn't sleep in her cot and insisted on sleeping next to him since Amy and I were also not there in our usual spots. She wanted to come home on Saturday to see me, but DH let her call on the cell phone instead.

Amy has a gastrointestinal flu. Once the fever and vomiting were done, the severe gas pains started. She was up screaming/crying on Friday night. I was ready to take her in to the emergency room. She is slowly getting better and I have to ease her back into her routines with feeding and sleeping. She would not let me out of her sight all weekend. I found a good use for DH's rough riding Jeep - taking Amy for drives to help relieve the gas pressure and to put her to sleep.

Kelli - Well, the Milanos were about the highlight of my weekend. I had hoped to do more around the house to prepare for Amy's upcoming Baptism, but Amy had other ideas. I got the flower bed in front of the house planted and that is about it. I was hoping to start my scrapbook, but didn't have a template to fit the small pictures I wanted to use.

Babies two years apart or less are a bit of a challenge when it comes to diapers. Having two in diapers is expensive! We should own stock in Huggies. Maddy still needs alot of care and attention (despite the fact that she told me she was five years old this morning). Larry does alot of her daily care (dressing, bathing) since I am BFing and taking care of Amy. On the good side they will probably be very close and Maddy will probably not remember a time when Amy was not a part of our family. Going anywhere is a major undertaking with diaper bag, carseats, stroller, etc. My younger sister's children are three years apart. The plus to that spacing was that Angelo was potty trained and could also get himself in and out of the car, etc. This made it easier for her to take the kids out. Angelo and Lucia are very close, too. My whole family is that way. There were six of us born in the space of thirteen years. The closest are 18 months apart and my brother and I are 36 months apart. Of course, my mom stayed at home until my younger sister started school.

Julianne - How was the scrapbooking workshop? I have gotten things to try on my own, but I would like to take a class or see a demo. I want to make some pages for the Grandmas for Christmas this year.

Well, I had better turn my attention to some work since pumping time is over. Take care everyone.

Hi everyone! I'm new here and I have a question I hope you all can help me with. My son is 18-months old and he bites. I know this is normal but the problem is he bites himself. He bites so hard he leaves his teeth marks that lasts for a week or more. He also started pinching himself. And when he does it he turns red and shakes like he's using all his strength to pinch as hard as he can. The thing that really bothers me is he usually starts laughing afterwards and does it again. When I see him do it I am calm and I just pick him up and put him in another room or I give him a snack, but I am thinking that maybe that is giving him attention for doing that even though I am not talking to him about it. I just can't sit there and watch him hurt himself. I tried looking for any thing that dealt with toddlers biting themselves and I can't find anything! Any help or suggestions from anyone would be good. Thank you!
Hugs and Kisses to all the little ones!

Hi everyone! I'm new here--just wanted to say Hi. My daughter Martha is 19 months old and has always been a handful--more so now. She is sleeping right now after a morning spent at the Department of Motor Vehicles where we had to stand in line for an hour and 1/2 She amused herself by ramming her stroller into people and removing all the brochures from the rack. It was a long morning!
Elizabeth--about your son and the biting I would talk to your ped. but my guess is it's probably just a phase. My friend's son (20 months old) bangs his head against the wall so hard he has bruises on his forehead!

Best to you all!

Well, Allison is taking more and more steps.. I still wouldn't call it officially walking as if she wants to go somewhere more that 4 or 5 steps away she will still drop and crawl to get there, but she is definitely making progress. I got her from the sitters on Friday and she seemed perfectly fine to me. Had no more diarhhea and throwing up the rest of the night so it wasn't nearly as bad as I had feared it might be. Now I think it may have all been related to these two molars that are coming it. They seem to be really taking a toll on her lately. They should break through any day hopefully. They seem to be taking longer than the other two took though.

Rita - so sorry to hear about poor Amy this weekend. Hopefully you are over the worst of it now and on the road to recovery.

Leanne and Romaine - do you guys live far away from one another?? Seems like maybe you do from your posts. Just wondering.

Tracey - I hope you feel better soon. Maybe you should go to the Dr. seems like you haven't been 100% since your operation. You may want to have it checked out.

Kelli - yes, that 18 mo old was very advanced. Don't worry about Elzabeth, that child was doing stuff that most children don't do until they are well past 2.

Sarah, Debbie and Karen - welcome. Our family is growing by leaps and bounds everyday!!

Julianne - Colton sounds cute with his WWW wresting moves. So glad that my DH isn't into that stuff..

Well, we got our new computer at home this weekend, hooked it up, and it didn't work, so we're sending it back. On the up side of the whole story, they are out of that model, and it has been discontinued so they are sending us an upgraded model for the same price :-) Pretty okay for having to deal with a broken computer right off the bat. They should have our new one to us in a couple days so I will soon be hooked up at home!!:-) woohoo!! At Kelli's request, here is a little about me, I am a 28 year old who works outside of the home (would love to SAH though!) as a computer programmer. Allison is our first child and I live in Frankfort, KY. talk to you ladies later!

Hello ladies. Well I went to the doctor today and I guess we have figured out what is wrong. My throat is red and inflammed and there was something showing up in my urine so I am now on antibioticsand I am sure I will start feeling better. I hope that you all had a nice weekend. Ours was pretty good. Saturday we went to my grandparents for my Aunt's birthday and the kids had allot of fun and they loved being the center of attention. Dillon pulled the placemat out from under my plate while I was eating my burger and it was so fast that we could not catch the plate and so the food went everywhere. That boy is faster than a jet. Sunday we really did not do anything. Slept late and then went to MIL's and I found a few new recipes and then came home and cooked supper.

Dillon is being so cute today. He is putting a baseball inside a pumpkin that we have for Halloween( the ones the kids put their candy in ) and I clapped and said yay and then he did it again and he clapped for himself and said yay. He is so sweet. When my Aunt was taking his picture the other day he was smiling for the camera and even when it was a picture of someone else he would put on a big smile. What a camera hog.

Okay now about me and my family for all the new ones. My name is Tracey and I am 27 almost 28. I have three kids age 6,3&1. The 6 year old is a boy named Blake, the 3 year old is a girl named Taylor and the 1 year old is a boy named Dillon and we live in Nederland, Texas and I have been married for almost 8 years.

Debbie- We will miss you while you are gone. A whole week away from DH huh? I would go nuts as I hate being away from DH for 1 night.

Jayme- Your boys are so cute and seem like they are just little angels.

Sarah-Welcome and I hope to see you around allot more.

Kelli-The 18 month old sounds very advanced to me. Taylor is still learning her ABC's. She knows how to count to 10 and stuff like that but that baby seems to be a genius. Right now Dillon is just walking and he sings a bit. He talks when he wants to and waves and claps and I will not push him to do more as I know he will do it when he is ready to. How depressing to have to put up 3 boxes of clothes and shoes. Is she still a baby? Yes she is. My feelings about having the babies about 2 years apart are that it is great. I thought it would be so bad but it is wonderful as Taylor and Dillon are really close and play together so well and it is not as hectic as I thought it would be. Sorry that I did not make it there to cook the meal for you. Will you take a rain check?

Julianne-The CM class sounds like fun, I never have the timne or money to do that though. Volleyball is my favorite sport to play and I played it for 6 years in school. I don't have anyone to play with though. That is the one thing that I miss from high school. The wrestling with the big stuffed animla sounds so cute. However the throwing up does not. The baptism sounds really nice and Colton dancing to the msuic sounds like a real show. I bet he was so cute doing that. Yes it was nicefor DH to stay home with me and take care of me. He is home again tonight.

Rita- Sorry that your weekend did not go well. I am glad that Maddy had a good time camoing though. Did she catch any fish? I hope that poor Amy will be back to her self again soon. So sorry that she is going through all that pain.

Debbie- Welcome to you and I am sorry to say that I do not have any suggestions to you. There is a website that is www.drpaula.com You can ask the doctor a question and at the end of the evening they will answer it for you. Try asking them as they are always very helpful and will be able to tell you what to do about this.

Karen- Welcome to you and Martha. I hope you will continue to post here. She sounds like a real pill just like my kids.

Beth- I am so glad to hear that Allison is not really sick. Dillon is getting all 4 molars at once and theya re taking forever to come in. Sorry to hear about the computer but at least you are getting a better one for the same price.

Okay ladies gotta go and get the kids in bed. Talk to you all later.

Hey everyone. Well, Monday is over! Thank goodness! I always hate Mondays! Elizabeth and I didn't do much today. I take that back, Elizabeth was into everything and very fast! I was chasing after her all day. Other than that, it was a lazy day (if you can call a day with a toddler lazy.)

Julianne, Poor little Colton throwing up!! Does he do that often?? That is so cute about him dancing and showing off in church! He loves that attention, huh?

Rita, I hope things begin to return to normal for you!! I know you must be wiped out!

Debbie, Welcome! I only have one child who is a year old, so I haven't dealt with biting yet. Sorry!

Karen, Welcome to you and Martha!

Beth, YEA- A new bigger & better PC for the same price! What kind are you getting? Do you know what ISP you will be getting?

Tracey, Are you blaming Dillon for spilling your food on you?? LOL! Dillon sure likes the camera, doesn't he? And he'll be a pro basketball player in no time! I also like the Dr. Paula site... very helpful.

Well gang, I better go. DH needs to be rescued by a sleepy little girl who wants her mommy. I hope you all have a goodnights' sleep!

Hi all. It's Crystal here.

Things are not going well with me and dh (Doug). I feel like he has basically abandoned me and Darrel, as he made us move to Texas before he got out of the military, he doesn't call, e-mail,or write, and he will not sennd any money to help take care of Darrel. Darrel does not know his father, and Doug doesn't now Darrel. I've had enough of his lies, broken promises, and basically his bull. I have decided to go through with the divorce now to save more pain in the future, for both me and for Darrel. I wanted to wait a while longer, but I don't have the strength to continue going through this. I love Doug very much, so this decision has been very hard on me. Things were great before we got married. In fact, it was how I had always dreamed of things being. I thought that everything would continue going so well once we got married, but it's only been going downhill fast. On Saturday, I'll be seeing a lawyer and will start getting things going. I feel bad about the impending divorce because I really do love Doug and want us to work things out. But when I tried to talk to him about it Saturday (I called him at work), he just kind of blew it off and said that he doesn't want to hear it because he won't change and has decided against marriage counseling. That doesn't leave me with much of a choice. I don't want Darrel to grow up seeing how unhappy I am with the way his father is treating me and him. I have a close friend whose older brother thinks we're meant to be, but I don't want to deal with guys right now. I've been hurt so often and so badly by so many guys that I think it's best to just keep my distance right now and concentrate on me and Darrel. Doug wants custody of our son, but I will fight until my dying day for custody. I haven't told Doug that I'm definitely filing for the divorce, but he knows that I've been thinking about leaving him for the past 5 or 6 months.

Crystal- I am very sorry to hear about what is going on with you right now and I think that the divirce might be the best thing for you. It seems that you will not have any problem getting custody of Darrel since you are the only parent that he knows and Doug does not send any money nor try to make contact or any effort to see Darrel or even find out what is going on with him. I will pray for you and hope that all goes well. Must go for now. I would really like to get together soon if possible. Talk later.

Ok, which one of you is holding the sleep fairy captive? Colton was a little bugger last night. He was up from 2am - 4:30 am, which meant I was up then too. I have been trying to just give him water but that doesn't seem to satisfy him so I have to take him out of his crib and try to get him back to sleep. Each time I thought he was sleeping and put him in the crib he cried really hard. I tried letting him cry for a few minutes but couldn't take it so picked him up. He ended up throwing up twice! He wanted to play but I wouldn't let him and that made him really mad. Finally I gave him a bottle of formula. He calmed down, but still wouldn't sleep in his crib. I let him sleep in our bed because I needed sleep. He feel asleep and about 10 minutes later I put him in his crib. I am at my wits end. I was crying myself last night. I just can't take getting up every night and him not going back to sleep. DH helped for about an hour but I was up with him too.

I am going to try to not even get up tonight and just let him cry. He needs to be broken of these nightly habits. Wish me lots of luck. I am going to need it.

Here's the deal about his throwing up. Everytime he cuts a tooth he gets a cough. If he cries really hard then he throws up too. It seems like he does not know how to control his cough and with the extra spit from his teething he throws up. Does this sound natural? Everytime I mention it to the doctor, and I have just switched, they say it is normal. I guess I need to make sure he takes plenty of decongestant when he is teething. Any other suggestions?

Kelli: Colton is just a year old and doesn't talk very much yet.

Rita: Sorry you and your DH had such a difficult weekend. Good use for the jeep! I started Creative Memories scrapbooking when I found out I was pregnant. I began a book with old black & white photos of my grandparents and then included my parents then me and DH's childhood pictures so he would have a family picture history. I have kept this album up through his first year. This will be his to keep. I love doing it. It is lots of fun and I get to hang out with other women for an evening away from everything. It takes time but is worth it.

Debbie: Colton likes to bite or pinch us and thinks it is funny. I make sure I tell him "no" in a really stern voice and set him down away from me so that he knows he is doing something wrong. This has helped with his hair pulling also. Good Luck.

Beth: Glad Allison is feeling better. Sounds like she could be walking soon, then watch out.

Tracey: Hope the medicine kicks in and you start feeling better. You need to have Dillon give Colton a talk about smiling for the camera. As soon as we get the camera or video camera out his smiles go away! We are lucky if we get him to look at the camera. How can such little hands be so quick? We certainly need to stay on our toes during dinner time at our house. Colton loves to shred our napkins.

Crystal: I am keeping you and Darrel in my thoughts and prayers.

Here's the personal info on me. I will be 30 in 3 months :(, Colton is my first child, I have been married for 6 years, I live in Michigan near Grand Rapids, I work full time as a benefits manager, and we have a dog named Tequila.

Hello Ladies Leanne Here

Glad to see everyone had a good weekend. Ours in Canada was extra long because of Heritage day!! We all went for a bike ride everyday this weekend and yesterday we all went to a place called Calaway Park. It was great fun!! The girls loved it. Cynthia was so brave on the rides, she was not scared one bit. Just kept on waving and smiling had a tough time getting her off of the rides though. Veronica was a typical ANGEL!! She just sat in her stroller and waved and smiled to everyone. DH would pick her up and hold her so she could watch her sisters on the rides and she would just laugh with glee!!!

When dh took Alexis on the log ride I stayed with Cynthia and Veronica and the two of them kept waving and saying hi to people. (veronica did not say hi, just waved). Veronica would crawl over to the cement sidewalk were the line was and would smile and pull herself up to standing and cruising along the poles and babble away to herself. Everyone kept talking to her and saying hi. It is so nice to have a baby that is so smiling and happy and not scared of other people. Cynthia was terrible at that age. She was such a mommies girl, you could not even talk to her and she would cry.

Anyways here is my personal info on us good idea Kelli!! I am 29 and dh and I just celebrated our 6 year wedding anniversary on the 17th of July. We have three beautifull girls, Alexis 5, Cynthia 2 and Veronica will be 1 on August 10, which I am so sad about she will probably our last baby and I want her to stay that way for a long time. Cant hold them back though.

Tracey: Good idea about combining the birthdays. Dont know if that would work or not but we will wait to see. Your family sounds pretty close to mine (ages and all) It was cute to hear about Dillion grabbing your hamburger. Veronica is the same way she is so quick. You have to move things a mile away from her she has such a long reach. Is Dillion walking yet?

Kelli: Thanks for the idea about the infor. Nice to see everyones details and other kids. We just watched to movie October Sky too. You are right it was really good. I wasnt to interested in seeing it at first, but really enjoyed it, dh did too. The bike rides were great. Alexis did really well with keeping up with us. She does not do well going down the hills though she is a little scared still. SOunds like your friends baby is pretty advanced. Cynthia is 2 and she is just doing all those things now. Still does not know her abcs though. As for age spacing of kids...... Well I think I have a good comparison. Between Alexis and Cynthia there are 2yrs. 9 months and it was great!!! Alexis was potty trained and was a huge helper!! She would play with Cynthia from day one and get her diapers etc. for me. Cynthia and Veronica are only 16 months apart. It was not so bad at the beginning b/c I think that she was too young to know what was going on, but now I have some problems with her pushing Veronica down, I cant trust her with her. But you know alot of it has to do with personalities too. It is harder with 2 in diapers and in some ways I feel that Cynthia did not get as much attention in the first year as she should have with me getting pregnant when she was only 7 months old. i like the fact though that they are so close in age and have alot of similar things in common. I think that in another 6 months or so when Veronica is walking and being able to play more it will be great!!!! It is all up to you. Let me know what you think.

Sarah: Welcome to the board hope you enjoy it.

Juliane - That was too funny about your friend throwing up after seeing Colton. I guess I could see that happening. COltyon sounded really cute at the baptism.

Rita: Glad Maddy had such a good time camping. SOrry to here about Amy hope all is ok.

Debbie: Good luck with the biting. Sorry can not help with that. I would ask your dr. about it.

Karen: Welcome. SOunds like you had a tough day at motor vehicales. She sounds like she keeps you pretty busy. Any plans for more?

Beth: COngrats on Alison taking more steps. Alexis did not really walk well till 14 months and Cynthia not till 15 months. Just wait, you will be running after her in no time. Yes Romaine, lives in BC and I live in Alberta. I really miss her as she is my only sister and sibling. She usually comes to Calgary during the summer but wasnt able to this year because she is due end of Aug. with baby #2 so I really miss her have not seen her since March. BOO HOO you will have to put up with our talk on the board... hope not to boring .

Crystal: Sorry to hear about you and Doug. I think that you are doing the right thing though. Dosent sound like he is willing or even wants to try to work things out - no point in trying to change someone who does not want to be changed. Maybe once he sees how serious you are about the divorce things may turn around??? Stay positive and keep thinking about your darling Darrell.

Sorry about the long posts ladies. Hope I got all your questions, will talk later!

HI ROMAINE!!

Good morning from Rita.

Amy is on the mend, luckily. She is back to eating solids and slept through the night last night. Yah!

Here's my info:

I am 36 and DH is 38, soon to be 39. We have been married for three years and have Maddalena (12/31/96) and Amariah(1/4/99). We got a late start since we were both married before and I went through years of fertility stuff before I met DH. I feel so blessed to have had my girls! We live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I work fulltime outside of the home as a project coordinator for a large computer company. DH - Larry - is an engineer for a small start-up computer company. We have two dogs, Max and Jolie, and two cats, Calypso and Cousteau.

Tracey - Glad to hear that you went to the doctor. Larry wanted to make sure that you knew how well he cared for Maddy on the camping trip. She was car sick for the first time on the way home. He actually stopped to clean her up in the trailer and cleaned up the car before coming home. She didn't get any fish since Larry put a plug on her pole. She can't cast yet, but is very good at reeling it in.

Julianne - I wish that I started scrapbooking earlier. I do have some early shots of Maddy from birth, so I can "backdate" some of my pages. My local bookstore has some classes, so I am hoping that they will have one in the evening soon.

Well, looks like they finally fixed my e-mail here at work, so I need to get cracking. Take care everyone!

Hi, it's Michelle - we just got back from a long week-end at the lake so I didn't have time to read EVERYTHING - but I did skim...
CYNTHIA - I LOOKED at Walmart (and every other store in the city) and found nothing for the carseats. Maybe I should talk to the manager at Walmart and see if they can order them.

TRACEY - do you know the brand name of the thing to keep the carseat chest clip done up?

LEANNE _ OH my Gosh! I live in Millrise. Probably less than a mile from you. That is so weird! I noticed on Babies Today that you went to the Stampede and YES, we went too. It was lots of fun. Do you guys ever go to the sprinkler park near you? Do you find that it smells (the water) or is it just the twice that I went? I've heard that the water is pumped through numerous times?

I'll read - and post more later.

Tracey: I'd like to get together, too. I found out that I can get court ordered marital counseling in this state, so when I see my lawyer this weekend, I will ask about it. If it helps, then that will be great. If it doesn't, then the divorce will be definite. But Doug will have to agree to counseling then. I think it's 60 days and then if the counselor feels that our marriage can greatly benefit from it, then the court can order up to 60 more days. If that works out, then I'll be very happy. It won't solve all of our problems, but it may help us solve most of them. Maybe it will even give Doug the reality check that he needs? I think that a reality check is really all that he needs. I hope that once he sees that I'm serious about the divorce, then he'll wake up and see that he does need to change for our marriage to work. And if he does wake up and starts being Darrel's daddy instead of a sperm donor and being a husband instead of a room mate, then I won't go through with it. If he still doesn't wake up, I'll definitely go through with the divorce.

HI, it's Michelle again. I just read all the posts finally. My little guys are down for their naps. They had a pretty hard week-end playing in the lake. Being outside just seems to wear them out completely doesn't it?

Guess what Evan did? We walked up to a waterfall on our trip, it was stairs, their were 400 of them and Evan actually did it all himself except about 25 stairs. I was completely amazed as I thought I would end up carrying him most of the way. He was too cute, wanted to do it all himself. He LOVED the waterfall too. He wanted to "see it", close up! We could have walked down to the bottom, I do when I'm by myself but it's very steep and I didn't want to risk doing it with Evan and Riley.

Patty - OF COURSe you can come on over! We miss everyone at BT!

Rita - I'm glad your girls are feeling better. You'll have to let us know how the Maddy enjoyed the camping. Did she catch any fish?

Rita and JULIANNE - I do scrapbooking too. I love it although I'm just a LITTLE behind! About a year or so. I'm starting now to do it more often so hopefully I'll catch up soon. I just told my Mom I'm coming over to get all my baby pics, that'll be a big project.

Kelly - WOW, Elizabeth is doing great. Animal noises? I'm not sure but I think that is pretty advanced. She sounds very cute.

Leanne - I have 2 boys that are 16 months apart. Sounds like we have a lot in common. Have you seen the "half bike" (not sure what they are called) that you can buy. It attaches to the seat of your bike (underneath) and has handle bars, pedals and a back tire. It is for children around the age of 4 and up I think. You can buy them at Costco for only 89.00. They are really neat and it sounds like your 5 year old (Cynthia?) would like it. I had a bike stroller too but Evan is too tall now. (his birthday is on April 16 (he's 2) and Riley's is on Sept 2, he's 11 months now.

Julianne - Colton sounded really cute at Church.

Has anyone seen the movie runaway Bride yet? I want to see it but Terry said it is supposed to be bad. I know I'll see it anyway it'll just be tough convincing him! How about Eyes Wide Shut? We are going to see that tonight. Hopefully - I'm not feeling so well, so, we'll see!

Have a great day all.

Hey there ladies. How is everything going. Well I am still not feeling too well. I don't know why I am running the low grade fever but I do not like running fever at all. I have now developed a terrible cough and it hurts quite badly when I cough. Nothing really new here. Jay and I are just sitting here watching our team the Houston Astros and yay for them as they are the best in baseball right now. Sorry KELLI just had to throw that in there for you. LOL

Dillon is already in bed and I must say that I have the Sleep Fairy here with us and she has been here for a while. I will send her your way JULIANNE. Jis 2 bottom molares are coming in good now and the top ones are coming right along as well.

Taylor even took a nap today and she wasn't wearing a diaper and she peed and pooped in her pants. The bed was all wet ans when I told her to go and get in the bathtub the poop was falling out on the floor. What fun I had. NOT!!! See what you all have to look forward to. Us with toddlers aready know what is coming with the younger ones and we are here to share it with all of you.

Kelli- Glad that you and Elizabeth had a nice relaxing day yesterday. I also have to chase Dillon everywhere but he is pretty good about just playing with things and staying out of trouble. I was trying to decide whether to trade him in or not but I do think that I am going to keep him.

Julianne- I am sorry about Colton throwing up when he is teething. Blake used to do the same thing when I would leave him in his bed to cry himself to sleep. He would just throw up everywhere. It was very difficult since he was my first. I just could not leave him in there to cry. It was difficult on me since I was a younger mother then and did not have as much patience as I have now. No, I didn't beat him or anything but I would just get really frustrated with him. So anyway, it is normal so I would not worry about it. I know that is no help but he will outgrow it. I will get Dillon to call up Colton and talk to him about smiling for the camera. What's your number?

Leanne- Your weekend sounds very nice. I was talking to a guy that lives in Canada and he was telling me about Heritage Day and said they just thought it was too long in between Independence Day and Labor Day so they made that holiday for you all. Anyway sounds really nice. The gilrs sounded like they had quite a nice time on the rides also. My kids also love rides and never want to get off. Our fair will be coming in October and I know that they will love it and we are going to let Dillon ride a few also. It will be so much fun. My little Dill is walking everywhere and he gets blisters on his big toes on both feet from walking. Anyone else have this problem?

Rita- Glad that Amy is well now and getting back on track. That is nice to know that your DH took good care of Maddy. Taylor also gets car sick so we have to give her liquid Dramamine and you can give it to a 2 year old for the next time. It is allot easier than cleaning up the throw up. We let Taylor have a hook but we cast it for her and help her real it in. She just loves it. She is a real tomboy but also loves dresses.

Michelle- The brand is Safety 1st and it really does help. There is no way she can get it undone. Evan sounds like he did so well walking up those steps to the waterfall. What a trooper. I really want to see Runaway Bride and I have heard that it is very good. There are so many movies that I want to see right now though. The Haunting, The Blair Witch Project, The Sixth Sense and many more. Did you get to go to the movie and see Eyes Wide Shut? If so how was it? If not I hope that you get to feeling better soon. I know how it is as I have been feeling bad for a while now.

Crystal- Let's get together soon. I hope that the counseling works for you but if not you will find someone who will love bith you and Darrel and take good care of you for the rest of your life. They really are out there.

Well gotta help DH make cookies even though I do not feel like it. Take care ladies.

Hello everyone! I finally ordered Elizabeth's 1 year pictures! I have had the proofs for 2 weeks now. I am really excited to get them back. Elizabeth is doing great! Her 5th tooth is starting to come through. She must really have a high tolerance for pain because she's been so good and rarely fusses over teething. The only reason I know she's teething is that she keeps her finger in her mouth and puts pressure on the gums. But, usually right before each tooth finally breaks the gums, she cries out once or twice in the middle of the night. Overall, I have been lucky! I just know I am going to catch hell with my second child!! LOL!

Julianne, I am soo soo sorry Colton didn't sleep last night! I really hope he does better tonight so you can get your zzz's! I don't know much about a cough associated with teething! I'd get a 2nd opinion. It's probably no big deal, but it wouldn't hurt. Poor little guy... coughing so hard he throws up! I am sure that wears you out! I'd just make sure he doesn't get dehydrated. Elizabeth is just jabbering... not really saying words yet except for Mama, dadda, boon (Elizabeth's version of balloon), "wuff" (dog's bark). I think she's really trying hard to talk but just jabbers alot. (she's a girl... born to babble!!) LOL!

Leanne, Happy Belated Anniversary!! Well, I am not sure how long we will wait before having another child. Part of me wants to have another baby NOW. I miss the infant stage and the cuddling! But, most of me wants to wait until Elizabeth is about 2 to 2 1/2 to begin trying again. I would like her out of diapers and sleeping in a big bed first. Let's just say, if I found out I was pregnant tomorrow or in 2 years, either way I would be over-joyed with tears, excited and scared all at the same time! Plus, we are currently in a Condo and have been house hunting for the past 3 months and I would also like to wait until we have a house. I wasn't able to have a baby shower or do Elizabeth's room like I wanted and I don't want to miss out on that again.

Rita, Glad to hear that Amy is getting better!! Sorry to hear Maddy got car-sick on the way home!

Michelle, how was your weekend? I hope you had fun! I think maybe you misunderstood a little about Elizabeth and animal noises. I was describing a friends's 18 month old daughter and how she knew her abc's, could count to 10, knows alot of animal sounds, sings alot of different songs, etc. She just seemed so advanced to me! Elizabeth only knows how to say, "meow" and "wuff". That's good enough for me right now... she's already learning so much so fast! Did you get to see a movie? I wouldn't mind seeing Runaway Bride, but have no desire to see Eyes Wide Shut.

Tracey, Gosh, I sure wish you felt better! If you don't feel better in 3 or 4 days, I'd go back to the doctor! Those antibiotics should take effect after about 5 to 7 days of being on them! Okay, Astro's fan... I have to defend my #1 team... The Braves' are doing very well considering they have lost their lead catcher, Javy Lopez because of Knee surgery (Javy is also awesome at bat... plus not too bad to look at either!) THey also lost a great pitcher because of elbow problems. ALSO... Andres Galaraga (the Braves' star batter!!!) hasn't played all season because of Cancer. Right now they are #1 in the Eastern division of the NL. Not too bad for losing alot of really good players, huh? LOL!!! Wouldn't it be cool if the Astro's and Braves played for the NL penant and the Braves won???!!! hahaha! Sorry Taylor made a mess in her bed today! Get to feeling better, will ya??!!!!

Beth, where were you today?

Well gang, that's it for me... I need to go and spend some "quality" time with DH. I have been neglecting him the past couple weeks. Does anyone else just get too tired for that "qualitly" time? Okay, Tracey, I KNOW you don't!! : ) I hope everyone sleeps great tonight... especially you Julianne!
Take care everyone!

Good morning everyone. Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I just didn't really have any time. Nothing really new and exciting happening here. Just Allison being her usual cute self. DH is home this week and it's so much nicer than when he is away. Oh, Dh is applying for a new job. It would mean a move to Tennessee (about 3 hours from where we live now) and being far away from family, but it is a good opportunity for him. We're not sure if we really want to go right now, but he's going to go ahead and apply and interview for it and we'll see what we think if he gets offered the job. Who knows, I will still be in touch with all you ladies, though, since we are going to be "hooked up" at home soon!

Kelli - thanks for missing me! We will be using Microsoft Network for our ISP. I think Moriah uses them too. Hopefully we won't have any trouble with it.

Sarah - good to see you here!! Now we can keep up with you and Amanda without having to check in on the "other" side.

Tracey - I hope those antibiotics start to work and you feel better soon. If not, I agree with Kelli that you should go back to the Dr. and get more tests or whatever done.

Michelle - your trip to the waterfall sounds cute! Evan's such a big boy!

Rita - glad Amy seems to be doing better!

Leanne - I'm so glad to hear of someone else who's kids walked late. So many people have been saying things like "she's not walking YET?? Or you sure she's okay?" "Mine was walking by 10 months, why isn't Allison" etc. I know that the average is between 13 and 16 months so I shouldn't worry, but it's still nice to hear of other late walkers.

Julianne - good luck getting Colton over waking in the middle of the night. You may want to wait until he's done teething, however. I know when Allison is teething she wakes in the night quite often and she usually sleeps all night with no problem. Better to try things when there is no adversity in their lives. I've also heard that normally good sleepers will start to wake more at this age because they are learning so many new things right now that they are overwhelmed and want to try them all so they don't sleep as well.

Well, enough of my novel today. Have a great day all. I may check in later if I have time.

Hello everone, a sleepy Julianne here. Can you guess how my night went? Colton woke around 12:30 and I just let him cry. He cried for just a few minutes and then crawled around his crib. We could hear him hitting the activity center, making Cookie Monster laugh, and so forth. He fussed off an on for about an hour. I was so proud of myself for not going to him. About 1:30 he started coughing and I had to get him. I didn't want him throwing up. I gave him some cough medicine and brought him to bed with us. He coughed off and on until 3.

Everytime he would have a coughing fit I would rub and pat his back and that would help. I didn't have the energy to get up and put him in his crib when he was finally back to sleeping sound. When the alarm went off I was so out of it that I couldn't find the snooze button. I even set the answering maching messages off--couldn't find the stop button so we had instant replay about 3 times! By the time I had everything quiet both DH and Colton were wide awake. OOPS!!

I think Colton is coming down with a cold now too because his nose has really been running the past two days. I will continue to try to let him cry himself to sleep since it kind of worked last night, but if the coughing starts I will go to him.

Looking forward to today at work. Our department is closing about 1:30 and going to an "offsite meeting" for lunch and not coming back. Yeah!!

Leanne: Sounds like Veronica had lots of fun waving and smiling at all the people--too cute!

Rita: Glad Amy is feeling better.

Michelle: Wow, 400 steps! Great job Evan.

Tracey: You will certainly have lots of poop stories to tell Taylor's boyfriends. Great blackmail material for later. I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of the sleep fairy. Hope she doesn't get lost! Great that Dillon's molars are coming in so good.

Kelli: Thanks for wishing me sleep--got some, but not enough. Keeping my fingers crossed for better luck tonight.

I almost forgot to tell you about Colton's cute thing from yesterday. Due to the bad storm we had last week we are having 2 big trees removed from our yard. They did one yesterday and DH came home to help. He broght Colton outside and explained that the tree would be falling over and going boom. He used his arm as an example. Colton repeated the motion saying what sounded like boom about 3 times. He was in awe when the tree did come down.

Have a great day everyone.

Hello everyone, it's Cynthia,

Just to let everyone know that all my appliances and van are fixed now. It does happen in threes!!!!

Adam fell on Friday night and landed on the pavement nose first. Poor thing looks like Rudolph the Red-noded Reindeer.

KELLI: That 18 month old is super advanced!!! Adam is 19 months and still jabbers alot. He does say some words that probably only I understand, but in no way is he reciting abc's and counting. That must be so wierd to see, this little munchkin talking in FULL sentences!!! Your little Elizabeth is doing just fine. I kind of love the jibber-jabber stage. They look at you and jabber something and they really are trying to tell you something important. It's so cute.

BETH: I wouldn't worry about Allison walking. Jesse (my 9 year old) didn't start walking until he was 15 months. He was perfectly content to crawl. I thought he'd walk real early just to keep up with his older brother, but he wanted no part of it. Hey, that's great about the computer. Now we can all get on at night and gab on the ICQ. I haven't been on lately, but I guess if we all picked a time that was convenient, we could talk real-time.

CRYSTAL: Good luck to you and Darrell. I hope for your sake that the marriage counselling works, but if he has a negative attitude now, chances are he won't change. Stick to your guns and don't worry about custody. Your DH seems to be a father in name only. Do whats best for you an'd Darrell. He's your number one priority right now.

MICHELLE: Tracey said the brand name of that clip thing is Safety 1st. I know we have some of that stuff here. Perhaps they have a 1-800 number we could call. Or maybe they have a website. I'll let you know if I find anything out here. Our Holiday Monday was just a civic holiday. I think it's just an excuse for a day off. I know Quebec didn't have a holiday. But they have St. Jean Baptiste Day and we don't.

OK, now for my personal stats: I'm 37 and my DH is 37 also. We've been together for almost 4 years (Aug. 13). Between us we have 7 kids. (yes, SEVEN). We have his 16 year old daughter Deana living with us. He has two other daughters (Krystal, ages 13 and Natalie age 11) and a son Ryan (age 6) that live with their mother (that's a whole other story). I have two boys, Jordan age 12 and Jesse age 9 that live with us 1/2 time. Then together we have Adam, 19 months. OK have I confused everyone??? I work full time for the National Research Council of Canada in the Library. My DH works for Para Transpo, which is a transportation service for mentally and physically challenged people. We live in Ottawa, Ontario Canada, where I was born and raised and have never left!!!

Does anyone have pictures of their toddlers??? I'd love to see them. I have a picture of my three boys taken back in February that I can send to anyone who wants to see it. I still haven't gotten around to getting the recent ones. So far I've seen Kelli's Elizabeth, Tracey's Blake, Taylor and Dillon, and Beth's Allison. Iknow one of you posted a website so I'm going to scroll back and find it and take a look.

Well I better go since I'm not getting ANY work done here!!! I'll check back later.

Hi from LisaB. I recognize many names from Babies Today. I've been "lurking" here since the site went live, just so I'm not behind when I start posting here in a few weeks. I just HAD to response to Julianne though. Have you contacted Colton's doctor about his bad cough? I wonder if it could be due to allergies. Max was diagnosed with those at his last checkup and the doctor said to give him a dose of DimetappDM whenever he starts to cough, wheeze, etc. - no "colds" or other problems since! Just a thought.

All you ladies have a great day. I'll keep "lurking" until after Max's birthday and then I'll join in on the conversations. I look forward to joining you!

Leanne here, hi all

Looks like we will be getting some more people pretty soon. Only 6 more days till Veronicas First Birthday!!! Wow, she is becoming quit the cruiser!!

Got a break yesterday, my mom took Cynthia (2) and she slept over at her house. Cynthia was just being a little munchkin. Talk about hyper, I think she just needed some alone time with Grandma and no sisters around her. My mom said that as usally she was a perfect angel giving hugs and kiss and being all cute. She can be such a good kid, but if she is tired or had to much of her sisters she can be quit a handfull. Poor Veronica kept on getting pushed down and driven over by Cynthia in her car. Boy that little girl puts up with alot. Needless to say, my mom is having so much fun right now with Cynthia she said that she might keep her for another day!!

Just got back from another bike ride!! I am exhausted. We live on a hill and all the stores are at the bottom so going down hill was great, but coming back....... Alexis wanted to go in the wagan with Veronica she did not want to ride, so there is alot more weight with her in it, compared with Veronica and Cynthia in it. Bought 2 2litres of milk so along with the two kids and the milk AND going uphill... I could barely walk after. Good exercise though>>> tight butt!!!

Michell: Small world, we used to live in the condos on Shawinigan Drive and when I was working Alexis went to that daycare in Millrise - Panda Daycare?? Heard of it? Yes we go to the water park alot. We just live the first street down from it. I get really pissed off though - because we have to pay an annual fee for the park and it gets so busy that we can not even use it because (excuse my nastines) people from other communities use it and it gets so busy that the girls cant play there. Plus with the amount of people using it the playground SUCKS it is not built for that many people. Sorry if that sounds mean I see that you go there but...we should not have to pay if everyone can use it Just not fair. Anyways, about the half bike thing. My dh wanted to get it for Alexis (5) but I said that she would rather have her own bike because then she can ride it on her own and not have to go with us all the time. Even though that would have been very convient though. Our kids are really close in age. Cynthias birthday is April 12!!! and Veronica is August 10!! Alexis is July 4th so we have a very busy summer. By the way I saw Run Away Bride last night!!I REALLY LIKED IT thought it was really funny. You should go!!

Tracey: Loved your poop story - that is what I am going through right now with Cynthia, she keeps pooping and peeing in her pants then tells me after the fact. When she has pooped I sit her on the toliet and of course she slids off and smears poop all over it YUCK!! Veronica is not walking yet but crusing majorly, no blisters but the way she crawls she kind of scoots with one leg under her and she got all these slivers on her leg from the deck !! Poor thing it looks so painfull. DH tried to get them out but here are just to many.

Kelli: Would love to see pictures of Elizabeth. Email me. I will email you some pics of my girls too. She sounds great with the teething thing. Dont worry about #2 being worse. All three of my girls were really good about the teething and sleeping thing. Veronica is teething right now and getting a bit of a diaper rash but does not wake up at night. I give her tylenol.

Sarah: Hi Welcome, I remember you from BT looking forward to you guys getting here. Veronica will not be 1 for 6 more days (aug. 10) but with Cynthia being 2 I fit right in.

Beth: Good luck to your DH and the new job, hope he gets it. Yeah, I hate it when people say that about late walkers. Technically they are not late - they are right on time. Theres are just early. Plus the earlier they walk the sooner they get into things and the quicker you have to chase them. Everyone I know that had early walkers have there hands full and wish that they walked alot later!!! I agree. 14 to 15 months is perfect. Plus they stay a baby just that little bit longer!!

Jullian: The runny nose for Colton can also be from the teething. Do you give him Tylonal?? I find that really helps with teething. HOpe he sleeps better tonight for you.

Rita: Glad that Amy is feeling much better. I hate it when my kids are sick, you always feel so bad for them. Poor things. They sure bounce back quickly.

Cynthia: Glad all is fixed. Poor Adam or should I say Rudolph (LOL) Wow you are busy 7 kids!! I would love to see pictures of your kids. I will email you some of mine if you want.

Lisa B: Welcome to TT, I remember you from BT how is Max doing?

Well got to go make some lunch , plus Alexis wants to play on the computer. Have a great day. Later...

Hello from Rita.

We are all doing better these days. Now, if only I could get more sleep. My fitness center at work has a health risk calculator tool that I used. (Similar to the RealAge site) It told me that I need to get more sleep. No kidding. No where did it ask me if I had children and how old they were, etc. Amy has started sleeping through the night, but my body is not yet used to doing the same thing. Plus my milk supply is going down as a result. :-(

Tracey - I guess we are both still in the "Poop Sisters" club. Leanne can join us, too. Maddy simply refuses to train at home. She is not having many accidents at all in daycare. I don't want to force her because that certainly will make things worse. The "big girls wear panties" thing has no affect on her. I know that she won't still be in diapers when she heads of to college, but I still wish that she would choose to train. I might be able to get her into a pre-school program in the fall if she were trained.

Beth - Good luck on DH's job application. That would also mean looking for a new job for you as well? I finally got your pictures from way back when.

Leanne - Do you ever think what your household will be like when the girls get older? My DH wanted only girls and is so pleased that that is what we have. (We won't be having anymore) I come from a family of five girls and one boy, so I told him that it could get very interesting in our house when the girls get close to puberty. He has no concept of life in a house with women and their cycles.

Well, I must be going. Take care everyone!

Tracey: E-mail me, and we'll get something worked out. Maybe we can meet half way some where? As for the divorce, I was doing some thining this morning. Doug has back surgery coming up next month, and it will probably take a while to get a court date and everything. So, I have decided to just wait until he gets out of the hospital. Plus, deep down in my heart, I really don't want a divorce. And if Doug really loves me, he'll be willing to get things worked out. Also, I have realized that if we were together right now, we would be trying to get work it out and come up with some happy compromises. A few of the ladies over on BT gave me somewhat of a reality check as far as that goes. So, I'm going to wait until after the holidays to see if anything happens. Thanks for your support.

Good Afternoon All. It's Michelle. I have great news! Evan is sleeping in his big bed! It's official now. We tried a while back but he kept getting out and playing in his room and I figured that was fine as long as he stayed in there, well, it was getting to be midnight before he'd go to bed so we moved back to the crib. NOW, we have tried again and he's so good. He doesn't even get out of his bed, which is amazing I think. Time to get rid of the crib now. YAY! Also, I FINALLY took away his bottles, he was having one before bed and nap until just before our holidays. I know, it was harder on me than on him to get rid of them, it was the same with his soother just after Christmas. NOW, it's the potty training. Just when I thought we were doing so well. That's got to be the hardest right? Especially after all the stories I've heard on here.

Well, we went to see Eyes Wide Shut last night. Kelli, you are smart not wanting to see it. It was the worst movie I have ever seen. Tom and Nicole were HORRIBLE actors in it and everything. It was just plain dumb. I guess that's just my and dh's opinion because it was rated 4 out of 5! GO FIGURE. I AM going to see runaway bride BY MYSELF on Saterday! I'm looking very forward to it.

SARAH, great to see you here

Julianne, Colton and the trees sounded really cute. That must have been a neat thing for him to see.

Kelli - I understood about Elizabeths animal noises. I STILL think it's great that she can "ruff" and "meow". She's pretty smart I'd say. Riley is 11 months and all he says is "hi". It'll be a while before he makes animal noises I'm sure.

I'm having a garage sale on Saterday to get rid of all my baby stuff - change table crib etc. Gotta go put some more stuff together. YUCK. Have a great day!

Hello there ladies and babies. I hope that you all had a good day today. I am starting to feel better during the day but am still not feeling well at night and that is when I run the fever also. I think it is just some sinus trouble and many others are having that right now also. Well last night Dillon didn't fall asleep until about 1 AM and Taylor still was not asleep at 2 AM. I don't know what I am going to do to those little stinkers of mine.

I forgot to tell you all that the other day when I had to go to the doctor and Taylor and Dillon stayed with Jay's grandparents that Taylor pooped in her pants. Well I told her that it was bad and that I was mad at her for doing it but that I still loved her. Well we drove home and while she and I were walking up the steps at the house I told her again that I was mad at her for pooping in her pants. She looked at me so sweetly and said, " But you still love me and I will never not do that again." It was so sweet an of course I just smiled at her and told her that I would always love her no matter what happened.

We really didn't do anything today just stayed at the house and relaxed if you can actually do that with three kids. Well tomorrow we have to go up to Blake's school and pick up his room assignment and find out who his teacher is. My baby will be starting all day school a week from tomorrow. Do you all see the tears rolling down my face? Well you shouldn't. You should see me doing the happy dance that we all love to do. I will miss him and it is sad to know that my big boy is growing up so fast but it is also so peaceful and quiet without him here to cause trouble all the time.

Michelle- That is great that Evan slept in his bed. I know what you mean about them getting out of the bed and playing. Well Taylor is three and she still does that but she does fall asleep at a descent time most of the time, last night was an exception. Anyway, it was hard for us to get her to sleep in her bed but she loves it now and for Christmas we are going to let her start sleeping in a twin size bed and we are going to buy her all new bedding and the curtains and all that to match. Sorry that the movie was so bad. It really was not one that I was wanting to see but who knows so you may have saved us some money and wasted time. I really hate garage sales and never have them anymore. I sale all our stuff on eBay now and we have made $1000 on there this year already and I get some really cute stuff on there for the kids also at a good price.

Crystal- I will e-mail you but I will not be able to come until September. I am going to try to go see my brother and his family in Oklahoma then so we should not have to meet half way. Hey girl I hope to heck that you and Doug can work things out because I know how all that is. The truth is that Jay and I were seperated before and we were going to divorce but he realized that he still loved me and we worked things out and look at us now so happy and in love. You are in my prayers.

Rita- So glad that everyone is well again in your house. I am very glad that Amy is sleeping all night now but I know that it is not good that the milk supply is going down. They say it will adjust to her needs though. I know with you working that it is harder than if you were a SAHM. Yeah I am still a poop sister and welcome to our club LEANNE. It is a great privilege to be with us. Anyone else want to be in the club? WARNING-the initiation is gross! LOL Hopefully Maddy will be trained soon and we will not have to worry about this until our little ones start potty training. What fun thoughts huh?

Leanne- So glad that you got a bit of a break with Cynthia staying over at your moms. I know that they always have such a nice time at grandma's house and it is always nice for us also. I used to be so ready to go get them but now it is just such a nice break that I just relax and enjoy the time with DH. Poor Veronica and the slivers. That does not sound fun at all. I bet that it really hurts her. Poor thing. That bike ride this morning sounded very tiring and not like a whole lot of fun.

Cynthia- Didn't want to post to me today huh? LOL Ouch that had to have hurt when Adam fell on his nose. He will be well in time to guide the sleigh for Christmas won't he? LOL Glad that you got all your stuff fixed. I hate it when everything happens at once. When it rains it ours right?

Julianne- Sorry that you didn't get much sleep again last night. It sounds like Colton might have allergies to me as it is allergy season again and that is exactly how my kids get when theirs are acting up and the Dimetapp like LisaB suggested works well for us also. Hope your lunch was great today sounded really nice. Colton sounds so cute with his BOOM. What a doll.

Beth- Glad that you and Allison have DH home with you this week. Is she staying home with daddy? Good luck on the new job for DH if that is what you want. Where at would you all be moving to in Tennessee? My Uncle's live there so I was just wondering. You know that she will be walking everywhere in a couple of weeks or even days. Don't rush it as it is very tiring.

Sarah- I didn't figure that you knew the site was up so that is why I posted on the BT so you could come on over and join us.

Kelli- How do you know that I spend all that QUALITY TIME with DH? LOL Of course you are right. We had sex 3 times yesterday. Dillon is also really good when getting in his teeth. All my kids have been pretty good when it comes to it so you might luck out again next time. Okay now BRAVE'S fan I must also say that we have had many injured this year. Our catcher is out for the year, our third baseman is out for the year and our best outfielder is out for the year . Not to mention several others and then their coach having the grand mal seizure was not good for them either but they are kicking butt now and still tied for the best record in baseball.

Guess what ladies…My brother is going to Antarctica in October to work. I think he is crazy as can be but it is a chance of a lifetime and then they get to go to Australia and somewhere else also. I am jealous of them. Well I am now finished with the novel so I will go for now. Take care ladies and have a great day tomorrow.

Oh yeah if anyone wants to see pics of my kids then just let me know.

Hey ladies, I am hooked up at home!!!!! WOOHOO!!!! I am so excited. I am finally part of the REAL world and not living in the dark ages anymore. I know you all are so happy. Dh has been reading some of your posts and after reading Kelli's about quality time and Tracey's about how many times she had sex today he wanted to know when I was going to sign off my posts letting you guys know that I had to go spend some "quality time" with him. I told him he got "quality time" last night. LOL! (he just rolled his eyes at me as he is reading over my shoulder :-) Well, not really anything exciting happening, just thought I would let you know what's going on here with the technological developements. Notice my new e-mail. If you need a response right away, you can still e-mail me during the week at work (beth.lane@kyret.com), otherwise you should probably send the jokes and stuff here now. Talk to you ladies later!! E-mail me so I can make sure it's working okay!

Hi, Romaine here. Thanks for the welcome. I just figured out that you need to scroll down on this one. I thought my post got lost and today wondered why there were no new ones!

My stats-I am 31, been very happily married for 6 years. I have a daughter that will be 17mos. in 6 days. I am expecting my second on Aug.30, so post on the pg board. I live in Vanderhoof, BC, but grew up in Calgary. You already know my sister Leanne (Hi!).

I was watching DD in the tub and tears came to my eyes as I still cannot believe that she is a part of me-she seems so perfect! (I'm on the emotional side right now!) She was having an absolute blast! She was leaning forward to drink/blow bubbles (mostly drink! LOL!) and splashing and dumping like mad!
I skimmed the posts, so only have a couple of personals.

Leanne-Tried to call tonight-WHERE WERE YOU???? Kisses to the girls!

Cynthia- Wow!! Major busy family life! I cannot imagine!

Beth- EDD, see above. My DD started to walk 2 days before 15 mos. (Leanne said it would happen!:). Same thing, I know a bunch of people that had their babies when I did and they all walked early! I felt like a freak! It did not help when the nurse at the Dr. office freaked when I said Saba was almost 15 mos. and did not walk! DH told her not to do that, I was worried enough even knowing it was in the norm! Saba started to run w/in a couple of weeks of walking. Now I know why people say to be thankful! LOL!

Kelli- Wow, that child is very advanced! Saba has lots of words, but only DH and I understand because of the context they are used in! (They sound an awful lot alike!) She can point to all body parts named though, and lots of things in books. (She ADORES her books!)

Crystal- So sorry to hear about problems with DH. It sounds like you are doing the right thing though as it sounds like he is not interested in working on the marriage. You can't do it on your own! You're in my prayers!

Rita-Love the names of your DDs!

Tracey- What a mess with Taylor! Sometimes you have to LOL at something like that or you cry/scream! I do not look forward to p/ting!

Have a good night everyone!

Hey! Today Elizabeth made me so proud... again! She has one of those shape sorter toys (a yellow container with a red top that has cut-outs for a circle, square and triangle to fit through) and she was putting the appropriate shapes into the container w/ the lid on!!! She always loved putting stuff into the container w/ the lid off and now she figured out how to put the shapes in with the lid on and is SO fascinated by it!

Sarah & Amanda, HI!! Glad you found us!

Beth, Tennessee huh? I have family in Brentwood (near Nashville). It's a really pretty state (I am sure you already knew that)! Does Kentucky look alot like Tenn.? Congrats on your new PC and internet connection at home! How is Allison doing? Did you and dh get your "quality" time! I read that to my dh and he just laughed!

Julianne, Colton sure sounds like he was fascinated by the tree! How cute! I hope your little night owl sleeps good!!

Cynthia, I too, love it when Elizabeth "jabbers"! It is so sweet! And she talked up a storm today!!! I mean it.. she talked all day long!! I guess she had alot to tell me. How's our little Rudolf doing?

LisaB, I am excited for you and Max to graduate to this board!! I always look forward to your posts!!

Leanne, Like Beth, I am very glad you told us that your girls didn't walk until 13 and 15 months! Elizabeth is "cruising" on the couch and always pulling up on EVERYTHING but I don't think she has any interest in walking yet! Also, her legs just don't seem strong enough to me yet.

Rita, I hope the sleep fairy visits you soon!!

Michelle, YEA for Evan being in his big bed!!! Good luck with the potty training!

Tracey, Hmmm... it sounds like to me that the reason you don't feel good at night is because the day has just caught up with you preventing you from becomine 100% again. Try to rest a little more during the day!! HAHAHA... I know... w/ 3 kids it's impossible. Well, it's simple, just lock them up in a padded room, they'll be fine! LOL!!! You know I am just kidding, right! That is SO SO sweet about Taylor and saying, "You still love me...." How adorable! Okay, How on earth do you get so much sex??? Nevermind, I don't want to know! LOL! How long will your brother be in Antartica?

Romaine, I LOL about you just figuring out that you need to scroll down to read the posts! WOW... you are due in less than a month w/ your 2nd!! Congrats!!! Elizabeth also loves her books. That is her favorite thing to do is read to herself (jabber, of course!).

I know Cynthia has ICQ... anyone else???????? Please let me know!! Also, anyone have AOL instant message??

Gotta run... need to go and spend some "quality" time in my bed sleeping!!! DH is just going to have to tough it out tonight! LOL!

Good morning from Sarah&Amanda!!

I will try and keep up with this board- the other one was impossible to keep up with! Amanda slept last night from 8-5:30 this morning!!! So nice to get solid sleep! We noticed she has another tooth on the bottom- no sign of it comming--#6.

We are going away for the weekend Fri-Mon. DH is supposed to find out what exactly this place we're staying at has and doesn't have but its like pulling teeth. All I know is that its a house w/central air, and has beds and bath---I asked him how many? washer?dryer? towels?linens? etc?????? MEN!!!!!!

I'll try and check in later, hope everyone is well, I don't have a scanner or have a clue to what to do with one if I did,so no photos of us- sorry. We're both blond,( mine's from a box though),blue eyes, Amanda has wispy hair finally growing, mine is shoulder length, bangs. Not the same as a photo, but it gives you an idea. :o)

Good morning, YAWN!!! This is 3 nights in a row that I have been disturbed for over 2 hrs by my little angel Colton. I am ready to scream! I only go to him if he start to cough so he won't throw up. For some reason he refuses to go back to sleep. I try everything, rocking, music, bottle, bringing him to bed w/ us...Finally I gave up, put him in his crib, turned the radio on, and crawled into bed. He cried & fussed for 1/2 hr and finally went to sleep. Of course I still have to get up and cover him so he won't freeze.

I am going to call his doctor since his cough is getting worse. He also has been batting at his ears the past couple of days, no fever though. I want to bring up the possibility of allergies too. Also, I found out that hand, foot, mouth rash is going around at his daycare. Anybody have an experience with that? I hope since he is there only 2 days he won't get it.

Cynthia: Ouch-for Adam's red nose. Colton scratched his really bad last week and is just starting to recover. I have relatives that live in Chatam Ontario. We made many trips out there when I was growing up. I always preferred going through the tunnel, but everyone else chose the bridge so I always lost out. Wow 7 kids! I would love to see pictures.

LisaB: Thanks for the allergy tip. A few people have mentioned that so I am going to check it out. I read on BT about Max's first haircut. Colton needs one soon. I am going to just get his bangs cut though since I love his curls in the back and it's not too long yet.

Leanne: Nice break you had w/ your mom watching Cynthia. What a load to haul w/ your bike. With Colton's teething I usually alternate between Tylenol and Advil for infants. Any ideas when to switch to children's strength? I will check w/ his dr too.

Michelle: Yeah for Evan sleeping in his big bed. Good luck on your garage sale.

Tracey: Hope your sinus infection goes away quickly. Taylor sure was quick wth her response to your poop comment :) Sex 3 times--not fair. Last night DH came home at 10:30 and wanted to shower and relax and then expected some. I said no way. 2 nights in a row w/ hardly any sleep I'm not waiting up until he is ready. He wasn't happy--too bad.

Kelli: Wow for Elizabeth getting the shapes in the right cutouts. What a little smarty!

Sarah: Hope you have a great weekend away and get a few more details from your DH. Good Luck!

Hi ladies! I have a potty training question/ experience to share... Isaac, DS who was 2 in May, is really showing an interest in potty! yay! But this morning at 4:45 he started yelling/whining for me to come in there and change his diaper. When I got there he says he wants to go potty then come back to bed; something that has worked for us during naps. Well he'd already done the deed in his diaper, but just freaked out crying about the mat on the floor. He wouldn't even sit on the potty til the mat on the floor was just right, something I never quite figured out what his "just right" was. Got him to bed nicely and then he did the same thing again 15 min later, and had wet his diaper again, only this time DH was sent in to handle it, this mama was fried by this point. Does anyone have any similar experiences or explanations about the freaking out crying part? Isaac, like any mother's child, is a wonderful little boy. He really is mellow, except this potty thing seems to be bringing out tension in him I guess. Sounds like I'm chattering on and on...

Here's some quick info about me and my family: I'm 25, dh is 27, Isaac is 2 and Sofia is 4 months on Saturday! We've been married 2 1/2 yrs. We live in Northern California, north of Sacramento, out in the boonies really. Previously, we lived in a suburb of Sacto., which was like a big city compared to living on a ranch. I'm staying at home, but the trade off is that we've moved in w/ my parents. (A big change as you all can imagine, I'm sure) I worked in tutoring and mentoring "at risk" kids and then in after school day care on a school site for the last 4 years. I enjoyed it alot and look forward to having a little life outside the home again, but for now I'm thrilled to take care of my kids. James, dh, works as a manager for a coffe company that has bars in corporate offices. ok, maybe that wasn't so quick...

I hope to get to know you all, it might take me a while to catch up with all the names. I would love to see pictures! Faces w/ names would be great! If I can figure out how to send attachments I can send pic's of my kids. Have a great day!

Crystal here. Darrel now waves bye-bye. Last night a friend and I went to Wal-mart with our babiesto get some of Darrel's birthday presents off lay-away and to pick up a few extras. Well, while we were standing in the check-out, we kept saying "bye-bye" and waving. My friend's little girl already kknew how to wave, but she waves to herself. Darrel had never attempted it. Then he did it last night and then this morning...twice! He'll even say "bye-bye" when he waves. So cute.

Kelli: I have AIM. My name on it is "cjeanmurph".

Tracey: when it gets closer to September, I'll e-mail you directioons to my house and my phone number. Hopefully I'll have my own place by then, but you can still come by if I don't. I told my parents that I was going to wait before I file for the divorce, and they were so upset by it. I think they have been trying to influence me. They don't likke Doug, but it's not they're choice to make as to who I love and choose to spend my life with. So, I'm starting to really look for a job and an apartment now. That way I don't have to listen to my parents complain about my decision on whether or not to stay married to my husband and try to work it out. Parents aren't always right when it comes to guys.

Hey everyone!! Guess what! I entered the Delightful Desserts contest on Recipes Today and just got an e-mail that I WON!!! How cool! I was shocked since I had almost forgotten that I even entered at all. Not sure when they are going to post the winning recipe or anything, I will keep you posted about that. I'm at work right now and just had to tell you guys the news.

Cynthia - poor Adam and his skinned up nose. I bet he's too cute though with his boo boo on his face. I going to try to get ICQ tonight or tomorrow (whenever I can get time) and I will let you know my number once I get it up and going.

Kelli - see post to Cynthia about ICQ. Allison loves her shape sorter just like the one Elizabeth has. She also has the Tupperware Shape sorter ball that has about 9 different shaped blocks in it. She loves that one too. On the ball, I have to show her which holes to put them in, but she can put them in by herself. She can do the bucket one all by herself though. Isn't it just amazing to see all the new things they learn everyday!

Tracey - Taylor is something else isn't she! Too cute!

Julianne - poor you!! Hope you are able to get Colton to sleep through soon.

Sarah - so good to see you over here!!! Isn't it so much nicer over here with fewer people to have to keep track of. I was getting lost on the other board.

Well, gotta go. May talk more tonight if I get time

Hello from Rita.

Romaine - Glad you like my DD's names. We really wanted them to have uncommon names that also had "normal" nicknames (Maddy & Amy). I have a feeling that Maddy will not want to be bothered with a long feminine name like Maddalena. We have met alot of other Maddies in her age group, but most of them are named Madison. Where does Saba orginate from? I look at both of my girls (especially at bath time) and wonder how either of these marvelous and perfect creatures came from me.

Tracey - Sex 3 times in one day? No wonder you haven't recovered yet! LOL. I guess we can't let our DH's peek at this board, because they'll get ideas. Even if Larry and I weren't so tired during the week, I doubt that we would have the time to fit that many times in!

Sarah G - Hello fellow Californian. Which Sacto suburb do you live in? I am down in Castro Valley, between Hayward and Pleasanton. I can't offer much advice about Isaac since I am having my own PT problems with Maddy.

Well, my pumping time is over. Take care everyone.

Good Thursday afternoon everyone...it's Cynthia,

Well Adam somehow rubbed allthe scabs off his nose so now he looks like a normal boy again.

BETH: Way to go!!! you are now connected to the world while at home. Did you sign up for ICQ yet??? If you ever want to e-mail me at home, my e-mail is keithcyn@sprint.ca

TRACEY: I have a theory as to why you're so wiped at night...too much sex!!!LOL I guess the kids start school early in Texas. My kids don't start until Sept.1. Usually ist's the day after labour day, but not this year. So now I'm running around buying school supplies and of course the required new school clothes. They want to look cool, which I can't blame them. I was thinking last night, Adam will start school in 2 years. AHHHHHH, that's so hard to think about since he's still a baby. He'll actually start 4-year old kindergarten when he's still three. He'll likely be the youngest in his class.

Gosh, I didn't take notes, so now I can't remember anything.

I can't remember who was asking when to put your baby on children's pain releivers as opposed to infants...ASK YOUR PHARMACIST!!! Adam was able to go on to childrens'dosage for 2 year olds only because of his weight. Adam is very big for his age, so the average dosage that goes by age just doesn't cut it for him. Using the weight method is a far better idea since all our kids are different shapes and sizes. The pharmacist gave me a chart. The only thing is the childrens bottles don't come with the handy "eye-dropper" thingy. But that could easily be saved from an old infant bottle. Also some of the children's pain releivers are suspension formula and have to really be shaken up before giving to your baby. I really find that the pharmacists know more about over the counter meds than the doctors. These people have been a great help to me. And they are usually available alot later than most doctors.(you know like at 10:00pm on a Sunday night when you really have to get something for your baby!!!)

Well I better go and tomorrow I'll take better notes.

See you all tomorrow

Hi Ladies and Babes - Leanne Here

Well I know have Cynthia back at home. She was so excited to see her sisters went running to them and give each one a big hug. She kept calling "Veroni ca ca" that is what she calls Veronica. it is so cute. Right now Alexis and Cynthia are playing so nicely - it just shows you that absents makes the heart grow founder.

5 More days left before big Birthday for Veronica. Her new sound now is the sssssss sound for a snake. She gets all excited when she does it. Will give you kiss now too she opens up her mouth and just leans over you mouth. That is her kiss. Nice, wet and slobbery!! I cant get enough. Plus I love her breath!!! I dont know about the rest of you but that is one thing I will definatly miss when she gets older and has more than 6 teeth. I love the new born baby fresh breath. I love to breath that in. She still has it .. and I dread the day when she will wake up with the morining breath. Yuck. Welcome to the real world.

Rita: Thanks for inviting me to be a "POOP Sister" I really feel priveledged LOL I just keep remember how much easier it was with Alexis, never remembered the messes, etc. Oh well. i know what you mean about the "big girl panties thing" we bought Cynthia some Teletubbie Panties and she wants to wear them OVER her diaper!! Kind of defeats the purpose of wearing big girl panies doesent it. Everytime she does wear just them it is accident time. I think dh has a pretty good idea what is to come with 4 girls in the house. He says that we will go broke buying tampons and such... LOLOLOL if he has it his way the girls will never be leaving the house. He is SOO protective of them. All of the are real Daddies little girls. I go to Yogo one night a week and the girls cant wait to have there night with DH. It is so cute. He really loves it too. They are always helpoing him paint, yard work ect. around the house. Who needs boys??

Michelle: COngrats on Evan in big bed - glad that is done with eh? Go see Run Away Bride it was great!! I went with a girlfriend on Tuesday and really enjoyed it.

Tracey: Hope you get more sleep soon, sounds like you need it. Cute poop story. I liked your story about Blake. I will definatley cry when Alexis goes to Kindergarten this fall. I am so nervous for her. Blake is going in Kindergarten or Grade 1 ?? Cant remember he is 6 right?

Beth: COngrats on your computer and Receipe Win!! Yeah!!!!

Romaine: I was on here last night when you called. How ironic eh? I hate it when I miss your call. Call me tonight if you see this today k? Mom and dad said they had a great time with Saba. She is growing so big. Lots of hugs and kisses from her. Cant wait to see you.... and New Baby!!! How are you feeling - fine I figure eh? Enjoying the last few single baby thing..

Kelli: Sent you some pics. Loved Elizabeth!! So cute. I love it when Veronica cruises, she is really get gutsy (sp?) there are times when she plays with something standing and realizes that she is standing on her own with out hanging on. Then she sits down fast! Got some "quality time" last night!! If dh gives me a massage... he can have anything he wants!!! Needless to say I get lots of massages. He knows my weaknesses the nasty boy. Got to love him for it.

Sara: Yeah for sleep!!! How does she sleep usually? Veronica has slept through since about 7 months. Last night though she woke up at 12:30am for some reason I think she is teething again. Poor thing. Gave her her soother and she went right back to sleep. thank good ness.

Jullian: Sounds like Colton might have an ear infection. Check it out. I changed to childrens when Cynthia was 2, but you shoudl really go by their weight. So I would check with your dr. first.

SarahG: Welcome, sounds like Issac wants to go potty but if this just happens at bedtime the crying might just be a way to stay up later and not go to bed???? I would love to see pics of your kids. I will send you some too, they are a couple months old, will send new ones when I get some developed.

Talk to you later ladies hugs and kisses to all those toddlers, etc.

Hi everyone, from Stacey! Yes, I can officially make my way over from BT and post here now, as Franchesca turned one year old yesterday. It is nice to see you all again. I feel like I finally passed some initiation thing or something, getting to come here.

About me and my family: I am 28, and DH is 31. We have been married for 2 years, together for 5 and a half. We have Franchesca Danielle, who is now 1 year old, and like Romaine, I am expecting again. My due date is September 26th. I tried going back to PT, but keeping up with 3 boars is a true impossibility. I expect to have this baby sooner than my due date, as I went early with Franchesca and I have already had contractions and am effacing etc. with this one. We are expecting another girl. We live in Santa Barbara, CA, although I grew up in Pleasanton near Rita. DH is from Mexico, and we are teaching Franchesca both Spanish and English. I work fulltime outside the home as a customer service and sales trainer for Cox Communications (a cable operator). My trainees are taking an exam right now, so I am free to post. My BIL and his wife and their 4 yr old live with us, and provide daycare in exchange for rent.

Crystal--I am glad to see that you seem to have decided to think things through carefully and try to get counselling. I hope things work out for the best, whatever that may be.

Tracey--You have got some stamina girl! I cannot remember what sex 3x a day felt like, let alone having a sinus infection or virus. Between a little one who still won't quite sleep through the night, the job, and the 3rd trimester insomnia and discomfort, my husband thanks his lucky stars when I say I'm in the mood (he has pretty much given up on bringing it up himself).

Julianne--Sorry to hear about the nighttime troubles. I have discovered there is NOTHING on cable at that time of night (of course, I can't really file a complaint being that the cable co. signs my paychecks).

I noticed many of you talking about going to movies. I have not been since August 2nd of last year, when I saw Saving Private Ryan (2 days before I had Franchesca). I feel guilty leaving her to go out since I work so much, and I never quite got up the nerve to take her with me, as I figured I might have to walk out of the theater if she started crying. We used to go see movies all the time. Now it's pay per view or wait till they hit HBO. And with another one on the way, I don't see that changing. How many of you have gone to the movies with your little ones, and how has it worked out?

Well, my pregnant bladder is screaming for a bio-break so I guess that is it for now. I look forward to being part of your new group!

Stacey: I went to the movies with dh when Darrel was about 3 or 4 months old. It worked out fine. Darrel was real good and even went to sleep while we were watching the movie.

Tracey: Are out you shopping today? I'm fixin' to head on out to Wal-Mart and pick up some stuff. No taxes until Saturday? What the hey!!! I am now free to shop until I drop.

Sue thanks for the pics of Cam, what a sweetie!

Beth, Congratulations on winning the recipe contest. What was your recipe and can you post it on here? If it's a winner it must be good!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FRANCHESCA!

I TRIED to send pictures of Evan and Riley to everyone but I don't know if they actually worked. Let me know ok? Oh, by the way - Evan chose his OWN clothes the sunglasses day. It was actually boxing day on our front steps.

CAM - GIVE YOUR MOM a break and start sleeping little Tiger :)

Have a great day.

Hello mommies with no sleep and the babies who thing they should stay up all night and play! I hope that you all had a great day. Mine was pretty good and I am feeling allot better than before so I guess the meds are kicking in for me. Yahoo! I can do it all again, like I ever quit. I just used the not feeling good excuse to get out of the nasty jobs like changing Dill's diaper and washing dishes. I know I am bad. LOL Well slap my face and tell me it ain't true. The clothes are piled up and I guess I will have to get off here in a minute and get to workin' on those things. They are probably growing stuff on them by now and if I don't do them today then we will all be wearing dirty underwear again tomorrow and that will be kind of a smelly situation there.

Dillon was awake screaming at like 2 AM this morning and I tried everything. He was being a little pill as all he wanted was for me to hold him. Well too bad for him because all I did was give him his drink and laid him back down and let him cry. He was back to sleep within a few minutes. I cannot get mad at him though because he is so darned cute. I love him more that life. I love that smell he has that is only his and I just kiss him all the time when I am carrying him around and he gets so mad but he tastes so sweet. Gosh I love that little guy.

Well Blake found out who his teacher is going to be for this year and it is one that he had a bad experience with before when he was in Pre-K. I think that she really will be a good teacher though and she seems to be very nice so I think he is not really all that worried about it anymore.

Michelle-If you sent the pics to me I did not get them.

Crystal- No I am not shopping today. Did they make you pay taxes? It was only supposed to be for children's clothes for school and for school supplies. We already bought all of Blake's anyway.

Stacey- HAPPY BIRTHDAY FRANCHESCA! We went to the movies when Dillon was about 3 months old and it worked out fine but I would not take him now as I know that he would not want to sit there for that long. It is not bad when they are really young though as they sleep most of the time. Glad that you made it over here and sorry that the 3rd trimester is not being too nice to you.

Leanne-Blake will be in 1st grade and yes he is 6 and will be 7 in Feb. I love the way Dillon's breath smells also. I just love everything about him. Sounded like Cynthia was really glad to get home and see her sisters. Nice to know that they do miss each other and do not hate each others guts huh?

Cynthia- WOW Adam starts school at such a young age. They would never do that here. The earliest they start here is 4 years old and that is Pre-K which Taylor will be in next year but they have to be 4. Yeah you might be right, too much sex might be why I am so wiped out at night. Glad that Adam looks like a normal boy again. Yeah school starts here on August 12 and my cousins started today. We already bought all the school things and I was so glad to have that over with. I was told to go by the weight when giving pain relievers like Dillon gets it for a 2 year old also.

Rita- Sorry that I have sex so many times. Please don't hold that against me. Before my hysterectomy I never wanted to have sex. It was always fast and never much pleasure so I am making up for that now.

Beth- Way to go girl! I was going to enter but didn't have the time. Too busy having sex. LOL I also have ICQ and will let you know my number by e-mail. That is great that you are set up at home now. I don't know what I would do without the computer. Go nuts I do believe. I will e-mail you my ICQ number now.

SarahG- I don't know why he would be doing that unless he just does not want to sleep. My kids try that business all the time. I sent you pics of me and the family. I hope you go them.

Julianne- I hope that all went well with the doctor. It is probably just his teeth that he is batting at his ears because Dillon does that all the time when he is teething. I hope that you get some sleep tonight.

Sarah- We don't want to hear about your sleep. LOL We are jealous of it. So where are you all going this weekend? I hope that you all have a nice time. How is DH liking the Harley?

Kelli- I also have AOL instant messenger and my name is ttelger. I added you to mine. I think my brother will be in Antarctica for 6 weeks and then the other place that I couldn't remember was New Zealand. Elizabeth sounds so cute with the shape sorter. I guess I need to get Dillon one and see how well he does with it.

Romaine- Not long to go until the new arrival huh? Good luck with all that. I feel the same way about my children also. It is so amazing to think that DH and I made them. It is truly a miracle.

Okay ladies as I said before the clothes are screaming my name much as Jay does. LOL Talk to you all later.

Hey ladies! How was everyone's day? Atleast tomorrow is Friday!! Yea! Elizabeth and I are doing great! She was a cutie today! Everytime DH or I asked her, "Where's your nose?" she would scrunch up her little face and nose and huffing and puffing through her nose. Then she wanted to show us where our noses were. She gets a big kick out of touching the tips of our noses because we would "Beep". She also is really beginning to love on her stuffed animals and give them kisses and hugs. Before, she could care less about them. I let her take her bear to bed this evening. I just checked on her and she was sound asleep with her bear at the other end of the bed. Do you guys think it's safe for her to have a big stuffed animal in bed with her? I probably worry too much but I get nervous. DH seems to think it's fine.

Julianne, have you tried to put Colton to bed in a long sleeve sleeper? I put Elizabeth in a lightweight long-sleeved sleeper and she sleeps very comfortably without a blanket. I cover her up w/ a lightweight blanket but it never stays on. I keep the a/c at around 70 at night and also a fan in her room (mostly to draw out noise). Before I go to bed, I always check Elizabeth and feel the nape of her neck to see if she's too warm or too cold. I have always been told that the in the nape of the neck is how you can tell if the baby is comfortable or not temperature-wise. I was just thinking that may help you sleep a little better not having to worry about if Colton is cold at night. I hope you can get some sleep!

Beth, Yea for winning the Delightful Deserts contest!!! I will have to get that recipe! Remember way back when we used to swap recipes on BT board? Well stupid me didn't write them down... I meant to but something must have come up!! I could kick myself for that! Anyway, I remember you taking about your chicken burrito recipe. I would love that recipe if you have the chance sometime! E-mail me when you get ICQ set up and I will give you my ICQ number.

Cynthia, I had your name down in my notes, but no note. I know I meant to say something to yoU! Hello anyway! I hope you are doing good.

Rita, I can't remember if I have told you before but DH and I are thinking of naming our next daughter Madelyn and call her Maddie. I had a good friend in high school named Maddalena! Her nick name was Lena. The were from Italy.

Leanne, Elizabeth gives those open-mouthed, big wet, slobbery kisses too! I just love them. You have got some really pretty girls!!

Stacey, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO FRANCHESCA!!!! And Happy BIRTH day to you!! Welcome aboard! The last movie I saw in the movie theater was Saving Private Ryan back in October. Oh yeah, how is life with the in-laws? I remember you were having a bit of a "conflict of interests" with your SIL and neice. Is she still on a bottle?

Michelle, I didn't get a picture of your boys either. I would love to see how adorable they are!

Tracey, Sounds like today was a good day! SO your laundry is piled high, huh? Well, I guess you could turn all the underwear inside-out! LOL! Just kidding! Now eveyrone is going to think I am some kind of back-woods Alabamian. (Was that a word?) I am not, I assure you! I only have 2 front teeth missing!! HAhahaha!!!

Well, better go... dh rented a movie and I better act interested! Take care everyone!

Good Friday Morning everyone...it's Cynthia.

The weekend is only less than 6 hours away!!!!!

I sent everyone a picture of my three boys. Beth and Tracey, I didn't send it to you because you've already seen it. I will TRY and get an updated picture sometime before Adam goes to school!!!LOL.

Hey, I just noticed that they quoted me on the homepage of Toddlers Today. Cool!!!!

BETH: Congrats on the Recipe win. What did you win? If we went to the Recipes Today site, would your winning entry be there?

MICHELLE: I have your name down, but no notes. What a gumby I am. Well if I can think of why I wrote your name down, I'll write back later.

STACEY: HAPPY BIRTHDAY FRANCHESCA!!!! Hey you work for Cox Communications...Adam's last name is Cox (his Dad's name) Perhaps my son is your boss!!!!! I'll tell him to ease off on the work for you.

TRACEY: Can I send all my laundry over to your house??? It's really not much, just about 10 loads or so. I swear it multiplies by itself overnight, but those single socks are still a mystery to me. (Do you have those too???)

KELLI: What movie did you watch last night up in those backwoods!!!LOL. Hey did you hear about that guy who went into his work and shot three people??? It's becoming a monthly thing now. Just terrible. But on a much brighter note, Elizabeth is such a smarty with that shape sorter.

JAYME: I went to your web page to see your kids and your three boys are just adorable. You'll have litle girls lined up at your door soon. I also have three blonde-blue-eyed boys and beleive me, the phonecalls have started already. Well none yet for Adam, but Jordan and Jesse get their share. It's so cute, yet scarey. My oldest will be 12 in a few days. They start so young!!!

ROMAINE: It only took me three attempts to send you an e-mail. I was so brain-dead, I kept typing your address in wrong. My friend here at work has a little boy who turned one in June and she's expecting in September. It seems there are quite a few people with babies close together. Have you thought of any names for your second baby. And I too am interested in Saba's name and what it means.

Well it's almost break time here, so I'll check back later. Can you tell it's Friday...I'm talking to you guys intead of working. I'm so bad.

Good morning everyone! I forgot to ask a couple questions last night when I posted.
Elizabeth takes 3 bottles of whole milk a day, 1 in the morning, 1 at around 3 or 4 in the afternoon and 1 right before bed. Each are about 8 oz. She drinks more whole milk than she did formula. When she was about 10 and 11 months, she would only drink a max of 16 oz. a day. Now, she drinks 22 to 25 oz. of whole milk a day. When should I start to "wean" her from the bottle. Are any of your kids still taking milk from the bottle? She always drinks her juice from her sippy cup. I have never put anything but milk in a bottle for her. She seems to just love her milk!!
And another question: Elizabeth has a "binky" but isn't fully attached to it. She only really uses it at night and during naps. If she sees it during the day, she will put it in her mouth but it's not like she begs for it or just has to have it at all times. I don't mind her having a binky, it's always been a comfort for her. She had a very strong sucking sensation when she was a baby and if I didn't give her a binky, she would have nursed all day long! When is time to get rid of it? I guess I sometimes wonder if she will ever bite off a piece of it. I haven't seen any evidence of that... she doesn't seem to be biting it, but I always think the worse and don't want anything I give her to harm her. Any thoughts on these questions??

Hello from Sarah&Amanda!!

A quick hello then its back to packing. Dh did get more info, it has a washer and dryer- thats all we know!!Oh well, we'll have to 'wing-it' and hope for the best. DS has hockey camp and we have to leave after that, gets out at 5:00 and we'll probably be stuck in traffic. Everyone goes to the cape around here on weekends(cape cod,MA) so the traffic gets crazy.

Amanda was up last night at 4:00 for a bottle, don't get jealous of me yetLOL! Hopefully she will start getting up less now that she is getting older. She sleeps with a pacifier and thats part of the problem with her losing it at night.

Anyone thinking of getting rid of those bottles yet?? Amanda only has one or two a day and one at night if she gets up, otherwise its a sippy cup or sports bottle( kiddy size). She has been sleeping since we drove DS to hockey this AM @ 9:00!!! Its 11:00 now.

Gotta go- DD says her ear hurts so I have to call the doc. to see if I can get her in in case its an ear infection, Amanda is awake!!

Have a good weekend everyone!!
LATER!

Gee where is everyone today???

It's Cynthia again.

SARAH & KELLI: Regarding getting rid of the bottle... I slowly got rid of Adam's bottle by taking away one bottle at a time over a period of a week. I had already introduced a sippy cup, so it wasn't that bad. I also got some cool glasses that have the straws attached to the side of the glass, and he thought these were pretty neat. Adam was close to 15 months when he was fully off the bottle.

KELLI: As for the binky thing... Adam still has his and uses it the exact same way as Elizabeth. It's funny but every morning when he wakes up, he takes it out of his mouth and tells me to put it in the garbage (in a way that only I understand). SO the other day I told him HE had to put it in the garbage. Well didn't he just do that. I secretly took it out and washed it up and put it in my pocket. When bedtime came, he was asking for it and looking around for it. I tried to tell him it was all gone and that he had thrown it out, but he started to get upset. I think I'm going to have quite the time getting rid of that. He still has his original one and it's still in good shape. Just keep your eye on in especially arounf the base. I think because they don't use them all the time, they last alot longer. I do want to get rid of it soon, because he's starting to talk with it in his mouth and I don't want him to do that.

OK only 2 hours and 45 minutes to go until the weekend.

Good morning from Rita.

Still not so good in the sleep department for me, yet. Amy decided to wake up at 4:30 and I wasn't ready for that.

Larry rented a few movies last night, so we watched "Next Stop, Wonderland". This is really the only way that I get to see movies, so I am always behind on the current films. But, I get to see some really good movies that never play close to where I live.

Kelli - I have always liked the name Madeline. When I went to Italy and saw the name Maddalena, I knew that was the name for my daughter. I found out later that my grandmother's best friend back in Italy was named Maddalena, so it was a great coincidence that I chose Maddalena.

Sarah - My ex is from the Boston area. His brother had a summer house in Hull where we used to stay when we visited. I like the Cape. Someday it would be nice to take a trip back there again. I remember the Friday traffic well.

Tracey - I don't hate you because you have so much sex. LOL. I agree that sex is better when the worries are gone. Since the big "V", things are much better for us. We just don't have the time unless we get up very early on weekends or get both girls down for a nap at the same time. Larry will even give up one of his weekend motorcycle rides if we have an opening. :-)

Well, it's time to do some work. Take care everyone and have a good weekend.

Good morning! Sarah g here, holding Sofie; I'm a slow right handed typer, I'll keep it short.
Isaac got up around 2 am to go potty, we were actually too late, but no freaking out this time. He had a great attitude. :) It's quite remarkable, I have Sofie going to sleep at night without making a peep, doesn't even use a binky, she really loves her crib and she's been sleeping all night for a month now. Now my toddler is freaking out at bedtime and waking me up in the middle of the night!! So I got one month of great sleep, I better not complain, I guess.

Rita- I live in a teeny tiny (hick!) town called Sheridan. We're about 45 mi north of Sacramento, like on the way to Chico or Marysville. We used to live in Fair Oaks, just a little north east of Sacto. Your daughters have beautiful names! Sorry to hear PT isn't coming easily for you guys either... it's a big deal to these little guys, I'm learning.

Tracey- Thanks for the pictures! Your kids are darling! Something has happened to our scanner- it's kaput all of a sudden, so I guess I can't send out pictures for a while.

Stacey- Hi Californian! Santa Barbara, what a beautiful place to live!! We're pretty much stuck in the valley for now... we have dreams of living on the north coast some day :) Best wishes with your upcoming delivery! How exciting!

Well ladies, I'm trying to catch up with with everybody, little by little. Have a great weekend!

Hello everyone. Happy Dances, Happy Dances, Happy Dances for me. Why you say? Sex fairy visited last night. Can you tell it has been a while? Then, this morning when I weighed myself (I do every am) I actually saw the same number I weighed BEFORE I got pregnant. Took a year, but it is finally gone. I think the extracurricular activities last night helped!

Colton's dr visit went ok. He does not have an ear infection, but he has fluid in his ears because his nose is so stuffed up. The dr told me to keep him on a decongestant. He thought it was possible he has allergies since his cough seems to never go away. He wants to look more into that once Colton's ear & nose have cleared up.

I put a pillow in his bed so he wouldn't lay so flat last night. He still got up once. I gave him a bottle and he fell back to sleep. However, he coughed on and off for almost an hour. I finally just put him back in his crib and crossed my fingers that he wouldn't throw up. He didn't.

Yesterday when he was playing with his ball outside on the cement he fell and smacked his forehead. OUCH. He didn't cry much but he has a scrape mark today.

Last night Colton was off playing and all of a sudden it was quiet--too quiet so I went to check. I found him in the bathroom. He had emptied my box of tampons onto the floor and was playing with them. I wanted to take a picture for black-mail later but DH wouldn't let me.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Crystal: Yeah for Darrel waving. It is so cute when they learn that.

Beth: Yippee for winning the recipe contest. I was going to enter, but couldn't remember the qty of the ingredients and never found the time to look it up at home.

Cynthia: Thanks for the pharmacist suggestion. I agree, they know more about the drugs and their effects better than the drs.

Leanne: Great that Cynthia's time away made her miss and appreciate her little sis.

Stacey: Welcome back. We don't even have cable so you can imagine my TV selections at 3 am. We have gone to the movies only 2-3 times since Colton was born. Always got a sitter though. Felt a little guilty, but hey us parents need some fun too.

Tracey: Glad you're starting to feel better. Have fun catching up on the house work.

Kelli: Too cute about Elizabeth and her nose. We don't let Colton near ours--pinches way too hard. I'll have to try the long-sleeved sleeper idea. Colton gets 2-3 servings of milk plus 2-3 servings of formula per day. Usually just 1 of juice and 1 water. Servings vary from 6-8 oz and are served from both bottles and sippy cups. Still trying to make the transfer to sippy cups, but Colton drinks better from the bottle.

Sorry it took me so long to get on here today. Work is a zoo. We are in the process of closing our plants and today we are ending the production at one. Lots of paperwork and meetings. I have another at 3:30 so I had better go.

Hi Leanne Here Just a real quick post to Kelli

KELLI: About your post about the bottles and the soother thing. DONT WORRY. Veronica is doing EXACTLY the same thing. She loves her milk too. If I give it to her in a sippy cup, she just dones not seem to drink as much. She sometimes as one when she gets up, always one before bed in a bottle and usually at least one bottle during the day usually before lunch or after her afternoon nap. She has had homo milk since she was 91/2 months old. I am gradually weening her off of the day time one she really does not need it and the night time one will go once I find that she keeps on throwing it down and doesent drink it all at one time (good rule of thumb). As for the soother thing. She only uses hers at nap time and bedtime too. I really would not worry about that for sure!! Cynthia my 2 year old still uses hers for naps and bedtime. I really want to get her off of it but with the potty training thing - that is the last thing I want to worry about. As long as they dont have it stuck in there mouths when playing or for no reason, I think that the bedtime or sleeping time things are just fine!!!

I cant believe how much Elizabeth sounds like Veronica!! Her pictures show it too - always smiling!

Sorry guys will post to the rest of you later, just needed to get that one out to Kelli

Hello ladies. Well guess what? i am sick again and I can't even go outside. I went back to the doctor yesterday and I was running fever and have a bad cough and my throat was still red and swollen. I am now on an inhaler, nose spray, cough medicine and antiobiotics for about 2 weeks. I have been running fever allot the past couple of days so that is why I was not on here yesterday plus Jay went back to work so my mom came and spent the night to help take care of the kids. The kids are fine though which is great news.

Okay now about the bottles. I actually took Dillon off of his before he was 1. He was a few days away from being 1. He still does not like to drink the milk out of his cup unless I add Ovaltine to it. I know what you all are thinking but it is loaded with vitamins and he will always drink it from a cup then. There is also something that is made by Gerber that you can add to their milk that is good for them. I think there is chocolate and vanilla flavored. It really will help to get them off the bottle and the sooner the better. It was rough with Blake as he would cry for the one before bedtime but then I just decided to throw it away so I would not be tempted.

The soothers I have no say on because none of my children ever liked them. Taylor would suck her thumb but only when tired and if she had a cloth diaper and I just threw them away when she was two and that stopped the thumb sucking.

Well gotta go for now. I will talk to you all later.
