YEA!!!!!!!!
Elisa, and everyone else responsible for setting up Toddler's Today, Thank you!!!

I guess since I am the first poster, there won't be much to post. I think I can keep up with the board now!! LOL!

Elizabeth is a growing, happy, beautiful little girl! She has turned into a toddler overnight! She's still not walking but that's fine with me... she's fast enough already! She understands everything I say and is very observant. She concentrates on every detail. I can't say enough about her... she's just my little angel who shines so brighly!!

I am looking forward to seeing some familiar people on here!

Yea!!! This sight is finally up!! Glad it happened while I could still participate! I have been a faithful follower of Pregancy Today and Babies Today both and am happy to be able to continue to get great info and meet other moms with children the same age as mine! Allison just took her first 3 steps yesterday! She was staying with my dad and I must say he was a super proud grandpa when I got there to pick her up, knowing that her first steps were to him! It won't be long before I'm chasing her all over the place!

Kelli - glad to see you made it too! Hope we get lots of the regulars back as well as some new faces to learn from.

Look forward to hearing about everyone's toddlers soon!

Hey there Kelli and Beth,

I am soooo glad to see this sight up and running. At least I can keep up with the names now.

Gee I haven't talked to any mothers in awhile. It's really nice to see you guys (well, ladies).

I was telling Kelli yesterday that I have pics of Adam at home on the computer. I just have to get Keith to send them to me here at work and then I can show you two updated pics.

I have a question. I have a carseat that has the V-shaped straps with a plastic thing that slides up the two straps to keep them fastened. Adam LOVES to pull this thing down while he's in the car seat, therefore defeating safety aspect of the seat. DO you know of any device that I could attach to the straps to prevent him from moving the plastic thing?

Well I really should get back to work.
Talk to you later

Well I am so happy that this site is finally working. Thank you Elisa!

Well glad to see Kelli, Beth and Cynthia here. At least we can keep up with everyone here for a while anyway because we know that there are many moms that will be here in just a month or so.

We are all fine this morning and I am glad to see that everyone else is fine also.

Cynthia- I think that Moriah has heard of something but she is the only one as there was a lady on the BT board that was having the same problem.

Well Dillon is trying to climb on the air machine so I had better get off of here for now but I will be able to check in again later since there are only a few of us.

HI Kelli, Beth, Cynthia and Tracey! Yay, I'm so excited to be here with everyone. Maybe we WILL be able to keep up for a while now. Until other people discover how wonderful this is!!

Cynthia - I'm having the troubles with the carseat. We finally switched Evan to his booster seat which is century brand and it has a clip that clips together (like the stroller clip) and he doesn't move that one. I'm going to see if it would fit Riley's because he does it too. (he started it)! I'll let you know. Gotta go, someone has a stinky bum!

Hello fellow toddler mommies. It was really nice to be able to read and post in just a few minutes. DH is taking Colton with him to run errands this evening and I get to go golfing with some co-workers. Looking forward to adult interaction and not having to worry about where Colton has run off too. Lately whatever room we are in he leaves and goes to another to play. His favorite spot this week is in our bedroom. He opens my wardrobe closet and takes out my hot rollers. I have been joking about him being a hair dresser. It sure is fun to see what grabs his interest from week to week.

Beth: Yeah for Allison walking. Grandpa must be so proud she chose him. :)

Hello from Rita.

Had to check this board out since we have been waiting for quite awhile. I am not sure that I will have the time to double post, though. If it stays quiet here, it may be possible. How can I live without hearing fron you all, anyway? LOL

Take care!

Hey everyone! This is great... I read 5 posts in less than 5 minutes!

Elizabeth was a holy terror yesterday! If it could be gotten into, she was into it! Just thinking about it exhausts me! I couldn't get mad at her, she's too darn cute and gives me this big sweet grin.

Beth, Hooray for Allison taking her first steps!! Like you said, it won't be long!!

Tracey, Cynthia & Michelle, glad you guys made it over!!

Julianne, Adult interaction?? What's that? Being a SAHM, I don't get much! Maybe that's what is wrong with me! LOL! Have fun this afternoon!!

If anyone has pictures, please send them my way! I would love to see what everyone looks like.

Take care everyone!

Hi again...it's Cynthia,

MICHELLE: Tracey mentioned that Moriah had heard of something for the carseat strap dilemma we're both having. Did you hear about whatever she's taking about? I usually skim the posts but must have missed that one. Let me know if you heard about it. Michelle, where are you from???

KELLI: Adam is a holy terror and into EVERYTHING when he's tired. That's when I know it's bedtime. I also have a hard time getting mad at him. I keep telling him "its a good thing you're so cute" .His favourite thing to do is go into our tall cupboard where I keep boxes of Kraft dinner (which are inside a big box). He stands on this big box to get to the chips and cereal on the higher shelves. He also likes to play in the cupboard where I keep my garbage can. He pulls it out and plays inside the cupboard.

RITA: Double posting!!!!! Good luck. I find the BT site so hard to keep up with. This is much nicer here. ALthough in a few short months, I'm sure this board will be huge as well.

Well, my work is suffering, so I better go.

Talk to you all later

Hello ladies! Congratulations on TT!!!!! It's SARAH here. I know, I know, I don't quite belong here yet (soon though!), but I just wanted to check it out. I know now most of you won't be on BT anymore, so I'm gonna try and read all of your posts everyday and keep up with you all so when I join, I'll know what's going on!!! I can't wait to join, the other board is just too busy!!

Lots of love to you all and your angels!!!!!

Hey everyone! Wow, the first day and already bunches of people over here!

Cynthia - Send pictures of Adam my way! Would love to see some new ones!

Julianne and Rita - experienced Toddler moms!! We need those over here! Don't see how you guys will be able to keep up with 2 boards. I know I couldn't!

Kelli - Allison does the same thing, but I don't have too much trouble getting on her though. She definitely tries to get away with whatever she can and has quite a temper when she doesn't get her way! Has banged her head several times from throwing her whole body backwards as hard as she can and stiffening out her body. Then she does this mad scream that lets you know she's not happy with being told no! Quite a little wildcat!

Well, must get back to work.

Hello again ladies! I am cooking DH's B-Day meal but I am waiting for some cheese to melt so I thought I would post again and respond to everyone since there are only a few of us and I can actually keep up without having to spend 2 hours doing it.

Kelli- I too am glad that there are just a few of us now. It will make it allot easier. Glad that you and Elizabeth are doing good. Dillon has been getting into everything also. I think he is actually 2 instead of 1. The pics of Elizabeth were beautiful.

Beth- Way to go Allison! I told you she would do it before long. Dillon doesn't even crawl anymore. He walks everywhere and gets into everything he can get those little hands on. I hope that you are doing good.

Cynthia- I hope that you can find something to keep Adam in his car seat. Taylor was always getting out of her seatbelt and I finally found something that you put on that so that she cannot get it off anymore. I found that at Wal-Mart.

Michelle- Glad to have you here. I would have missed your little tales about the boys.

Julianne- Must be nice to get to go somewhere without taking Colton along. I do get a break every now and then and it is so nice. I have no friends to go and do things with though.

Rita- If you can actually find time todouble post then more power to you. I would never find the time to do that. Hope work is going well and that the girls are alright.

Oh yeah, now that I am over here they finally got Dillon's pic on the front page of Babies Today. Oh well he looks like an angel. How deceiving pictures can be. LOL

Oh, this is awesome. I love this board. I too am going to try to keep up with both, but I don't have much faith in that!

Beth - I know how you feel with the tantrums. Riley does that too. I can barely hold him up when he flips out. HA HA HA HA. I'm now laughing hysterically. I just stold his soother out of his mouth and put it on the glass table that our computer is on. He is under the table trying to get it. HEE HEE. I'm so mean. He's reaching at it and touching the glass and looking at me like, what's going on. He's figured it out now. Fun's over.

Cynthia - Moriah has not let me know about that contraption yet. Her friend was checking in to one for her little one. It was on email that we discussed it so no.. you didn't miss the post. I know how frustrating it is when they undo that thing. What a pain. I spend half my time pulled over on the road doing them up again. FUN. NOT!
Oh, I'm from Calgary, Alberta - YOU?

Rita - How old is Maddy? GOOD luck Keeping up!

Hello Moms & Toddlers! Its Debbie.

Wow, 2 boards to post on & I cant even keep up with one. What am I to do? Maybe this one will stay small for a little while, that would help alot.

I have a funny poop story to tell you all. We were driving to my MIL's this weekend & Maddie called me, so I turned around and she was holding her nose and said "Mommy PeeUuu". I asked if she tooted and she said no "Enlee". I didnt smell anything so I didnt check her. We stopped about 15 miles later, dh got out of the car and Maddie wanted to go too. So I get out, get Maddie out and go over to Emilee's side to get her out. Poor little Emilee had poop everywhere. In her hair, on her face, under her nails, between her toes, you get the picture. I had to get her out and try not to get poop on myself. I layed her down on the grass and used about a whole box of wipes to clean her. So, next time Maddie tells me PeeUuu, I think I'll take a closer look.

Take care & talk to you all soon.

I know that Darrel's not quite old enough for TT, but I decided to check it out and say "Hi" to all the other moms anyway. Three more weeks to go and we'll be over on this side. Can't be too hard to keep up on both boards with just one to chase after.

Darrel's so much more like a toddler than a baby anyway. It's heartbreaking in a lot of ways, though.

See y'all soon.

Well this will be my final post for the day. Well the Mexican dinner turned out really well and Jay ate too much and then of course blamed it on me because I cooked it. It took me about 4 hours to cook it all. I was sweating my butt off. Well apparently not off as I still see it here lagging behind me. While I had the oven open Dillon came in and stuck his hand in the oven and touched part of it and I screamed but he is fine. Thnak goodness for that. He is such a little booger. When he throws a fit he just throws his head back and then screams at us. It is so funny. He will also just throw himself down on the floor like he is laying on his stomach and screams his head off. He is such a sweetie though that there is no way I can get mad at him. He does this thing with his head where he swings it from side to side and sings la la la la. It is just so cute. Also when he is getting in trouble and we pop his hand hestarts clapping like we did something good. Too funny.

Michelle- You are mean to poor Riley. LOL I tease Dillon sometimes too but he usually isn't really fooled by what I am doing. He is really smart when it comes to things like that.

Debbie- That poop story is funny but gross at the same time. Poor Emilee, she is a stinker. LOL Couldn't resist calling her that. How is it going with the potty training for Maddie?

I am trying to get my friend to post on here. She was here but I don't know what happened. I was talking to her on ICQ and then she was gone. Maybe tomorrow I can get her to post on here. She has a little gilr named Bethany that will be 2 in November.

Oh yeah, Blake lost his 4th tooth today and he is learning to ride his bike without training wheels. Okay, I am leaving now. Will see you all tomorrow. Hug the toddlers for me.

Good morning all! I love being able to take just a couple of minutes to read the posts and not even have to take notes yet to remember what I want to say to everyone! I helps that we have all "known" each other for so long already though. Allison's 4th molar is starting to come through, but she still hasn't gotten her two outside bottom front teeth (the ones right next to the two middle ones). I know the two eye teeth are supposed to come in last, but I thought the others were supposed to be in first. Now, I'm worried that maybe they aren't there. I know I'm probably being paranoid, but have any of you ever had this happen or know of someone who did? On to the personals

Tracey - glad to here the Dh's b-day dinner was so good. I love Mexican. I make a mean chicken burrito, but they take too long to fix!

Debbie - YUCK!!! Guess you will look closer next time Maddy tells you Emilee is poopy:-)

Michelle - I MEANT that you were the experienced toddler mom, not Julianne (sorry Julianne, I'm sure you're great, but Michelle is on #2). Too funny with Evan and the paci, you big meanie!!LOL.

Patty, Kahne, Sarah, and Crystal - all right you escapees!! Get back to your own board!:-) Just kidding, you guys can drop in whenever you want! See you soon.

Well, no more steps since the first 3, but I think she's waiting for Daddy to come home since he's been out of town and won't be back till Thurs. She wants to save the BIG stuff for him to see!!! Talk to you later!

Hi there everyone. I just found this site and I think I have found my pot of gold!!! I have two kids, Rebekah-Lynn (2 yrs.2 mos) and Cameron (6 1/2 mos.) I am having a terrible time with three problems. First, Cameron WILL not sleep through his nights AT ALL!!! He eats like a pig, and is very tired when he does fall asleep but never actually stays asleep for long. HELP!!! Secondly, Rebekah loves sleeping in a bed, and does so at her daycare (in a toddler bed) but will not sleep in hers here at home. I have both her crib AND her bed set up. And she is also ready for toilet training, but she had a bout of a severe stomach flu for two weeks and since then she has lost interest in the "potty". Does anyone have any ideas regarding this matter????? Drop me a line, I would love to hear from all of you, and who knows, we may have lots in common. Hope to hear from you soon...

Good morning everyone. Golfing last night was lots of fun. Came home to quite the messy house though. I had just sat down to eat, it was 8pm and I was starving, when DH & Colton came back home. DH was very nice though, he watched Colton until I was finished eating. Yeah!

Colton was pretty mad at me this morning though. He just clung to me and cried whenever I put him down. I think he missed seeing me last night. What a guilt trip he is putting me on for having some fun without him. Any ideas when this mother seperation complex faze will end? He even cried for my Grandma when I left this morning. He is just breaking my heart every morning!

Tracey: Saw Dillon's picture on the Babies Today main pg. Cute smile with a naughty twinkle in his eyes. I too find it so hard to say "no" to Colton when he is naughty or into something he shouldn't be. I just can't seem to keep a straight face. Wow, 4 hrs to cook your DH dinner. What a woman. I did that just once when I was dating my DH. Now, if it can't be done w/ less than an hour of prep time it doesn't appear on my table. Yeah for Blake losing his 4th tooth.

Kelly: I am hoping to be able to send out pictures soon. We have a scanner, but do not know how to use it very well. IfI can get time this weekend I will try to figure it out. The more sterner I make my voice when saying "no" to Colton the more he just grinns.

Debbie: How do babies manage to get poop all over that quick? Just another thing to look back at and laugh about.

Tracy: Welcome. I don't have much help for getting Cameron to sleep through the night. My son, Colton, is 1 yr and still getting up 1-2 times a night. Good luck. Hopefully some of the other moms will have some good suggestions for you.

Have a great day everyone.

Well good morning ladies. I hope that you and the toddlers are doing well today. WE are all doing fine other than the kids fighting non stop. Blake is making Taylor cry as usual. I think today may be the day I go insane. LOL Well on with the post now as they are literally driving me up the walls.

Beth- I do not think that you need to be worried about Allison's teeth. All children are different and do not get the teeth in the same order. I bet that Allison is waiting to see daddy to walk again. Once she gets started she will be cruising everywhere and you won't be able to keep up with her.

Tracy- Great name by the way. Before I was married my name was Tracey Lynn. Okay lets see here. I am on my third child and all I can say about Cameron not sleeping all night is that you just need to let him cry during the night and he will go back to sleep. The kids ped.told me that if you keep getting up with them then they know that you will get up and feed them. IT may be hard but after a few nights he will stop waking up. Also about your older child, let him/her fall asleep wherever and then go and lay them in the toddler bed. That is what I had to do to my older two and it worked well. Welcome to the board.

Julianne- Glad that you had a nice time golfing but so sorry that the house was a mess when you came home. Funny thing to me is that I can take care of three kids and keep the house clean but my DH cannot do it at all. Sorry that Colton is making you feel so bad about leaving him. Blake did that forever and Taylor is still doing it and she is 3.

Well, I will check in later. Bye for now ladies.

Good morning from Rita.

Since I have just a little time to post, I am checking in on this side first today.

Things are crazy: we are packing to move here at work and Amy is sick. She's had a temp of 102-103 and was throwing up last night. DH has the morning shift at home and I head home for the afternoon shift. Maddy is also at home since she had a bit of the fever yesterday, too. Maybe we aren't going camping this weekend.

Michelle - Maddy will be 31 months on Saturday. As soon as she "graduates" from this board in December, Amy will be here.

Tracy Lynn - I also have a 2 1/2 year old and a 6 1/2 month old. Fun. Don't know what to say about the sleep issue since Amy wakes to feed sometimes and then goes right back to sleep. Potty training is a hot issue in our house right now. Maddy will wear panties and use the potty at daycare, but not at home. She may still want to be a "baby" at home.

Well, pumping break draws to a close. Take care all.

Okay ladies, I am relly bored can you tell? I am washing clothes and straightening the house but it is very boring without DH here like normal. Well tomorrow night he will be back to his normal schedule as he did not get picked for a jury so that is over with. IT was nice having him home during the day though.

Tracy- Your daughter may not be ready for potty training. Mine was doing really well for a while and then just quit. She will do it when she is ready too. I learned that from mine.

Rita- Sorry to hear about the girls. I hope that it is nothing serious.

Hello everyone!
I'm dealing with the eternal problem for new moms.
I've been at home with my 13 month old and am now having to go back to work. I'm not looking forward to having someone else take care of my son, no matter how comfortable I am with them. No one can do it like I can. But how can I make the transition somewhat easier? I plan to continue occassional breastfeeding as a comfort stable in my son's life during this very rough time of seperation. Any tips would be helpful. :)

Ok, I know I've escaped again, but was reading and just had to respond to Kalimah: Whatever advice you get, I'd love to have it too. I've been home with Jarin for 11 months and have to return to work in 4 weeks. I am also still nursing and you're right - no one can care for him like I can. We went to visit the sitter today and will do that again before I will do a trial run for a short time with him there alone. Then I'll try a longer time before the first "real day". Please email me if you have any great ideas - this separation anxiety is killing ME as well as him!

Kalimah- I was going to suggest what Patty says that she is going to do with Jarin. Take him and let him get used to the place that he will be staying and see if you can leave him there for about 30 minutes and then a little longer the next time and so on. Also, Let him bring his favorite toy with im and also maybe let him take something with him there that has your smell or scent. I don't know what but something. I think your continuing to nurse for now is good for him and will help him with the transaction. I have a 13 month old son also and luckily I do not have to work and leave him with a sitter or day care. i would go nuts if I did but those are the steps that I would take if I had to do it. Hope this helps and hope that you keep coming back.

Patty- You will be here before you know it. Also, did Mary have her baby yet?

Hey everyone!!! Well, talk about irritated! I couldn't connect to any WWW today! Therefore, I had Toddler's Today withdrawals! I have been psyched about Toddler's today and lo and behold, I couldn't even connect!! Anyway, I am fine now. LOL! Elizabeth is the cutest, smartest little baby in the world. (Do I say that all the time now or what? LOL). Today, she saw a dog on T.V. and started to make a noise like, "wuff, wuff"! We don't even have a dog! I do read to her alot and when a puppy is in the story I always say, "Ruff, Ruff". When I read to her tonight, she said "wuff wuff" again when we saw a puppy! She also makes a high-pitched shreaking noise when she sees a kitty in a book. I think I am going to really start working with her on alot more animals!

Rita & Debbie... Hope you can keep up with 2 boards! I couldn't even keep up with one!

Cynthia, ELizabeth loves to play with all the food boxes (cereal, crackers, etc.) She also loves to play with all my plastic bowles and lids.

Beth, Sounds like Allison does have quite the temper! Elizabeth has been showing a bit of hers lately. But, she calms down within a second. I bet you and Allison are so excited to see DH!!

Debbie, I have one word for you: PeeeUuuuu!!!

Tracey, what kind of Mexican dinner did you prepare? Has Blake mastered the bike with no training wheels yet?

Tracy-Lynn, Welcome!!!

Julianne, I will be looking forward to seeing pictures!

Rita, I hope your girls get to feeling better!

Kalimah, Welcome to you too!!!

wow, really quiet on this board today. Not hard to keep up at all! LOL. Well, DH comes home today. I am sooo glad. This makes the third week in a row that he has been out of town Mon-Thurs. This is the last week of it so I should have him all to myself for a while. I know that Allison misses him while he is gone too. The other night I said "lets go call Daddy" and she got real excited. Was breathing real fast in and out and bouncing up and down all excited when I picked her up. The sad part was I don't think she understood and she thought she was going to get to SEE her daddy. Well, we got back in the bedroom and she looked around for him and started crying. Then I showed her a picture of him, she grabbed it and held onto it just crying. Made me really sad because there was nothing I could do to make it better.:-(. Thank goodness he's coming home tonight!

Julianne - Glad your golf night was fun. I've tried it before and was not patient enough to stick with it. Maybe when Allison grows up I'll try again.

Kelli - glad to see you made it on here yesterday finally. Isp's can be a pain, can't they. Hey, do you love Elizabeth or something??? LOL

Tracey - wow, Blake is really growing up, fast, but then all kids do that don't they??

Kalimah and Tracy lynn - welcome! Hope you guys stick around and get to know us. We're a pretty good bunch of ladies. Most of us have known each other since we were pregnant, but we're always looking for newcomers to our group!

Well, gotta go. Hope more of you get on later so I'll have something to keep me busy at work today!

Julianne here and what a day I am having. Last night we got hit hard by the storm systems that are going through. We almost had a tornado, very high winds. It hit about 8:30 pm and lasted about 15 min. We had tree branches down all over our yard. Luckily nothing was destroyed. Colton thought it was great that he could touch the leaves and branches on the ground. Our neighbor's trampoline lifted, hit their house, flew OVER their house, hit the power lines, broke into pieces and landed across the street. So we were without power all night and hopefully will have power by this afternoon. We hooked our generator up to recharge the fridge so hopefully I won't have to throw out too much. I had to get ready at my IL's house, they are out of town so it was a little easier. I din't get to work until almost 10!

You would think that we had a nice romantic evening since we had lots of candles out and no television. Wrong, AF came to vist earlier in the day!

Colton did something new yesterday that was so cute. He loves the fan and I was telling him "no no" don't touch and he started to say "no no" back. He even said it in his monster voice. It was so cute I kept asking him to say it! I am sure that now he can say "no" I will wish he hadn't learned. He has been shaking his head "no" for a very long time and always thinks he is such big stuff when he does.

Sorry this is so long, but I had lots to say.

Tracey: Please don't go insane. Hope your 2 munchkins start playing together nicely. I wasn't too happy to read that this mother seperation complex might last for quite a while yet. :( There were tears again today when I dropped him off at daycare. The toddlers were even having fun making brownies! I wanted to stay.

Rita: Hope the fevers go away at your house so you can go camping.

Kalimah: Welcome. I went back to work when Colton was 8 weeks and only continued BF until he was 12 weeks. I know that several women choose to pump at work. However, reducing the feedings to AM and PM and not through the day worked good for me. Definately give your baby a chance to get used to the daycare before you go back. It will be easier on both of you. Can you go back to work gradually or is it fulltime at once? I went back for 2 days one week, then 4 days the next, and then to full time. That made it a little easier. Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

Kelli: Elizabeth sure is cute with the animal sounds. Animals are Colton's favorite too, next to engine noises--he's all boy!

Lunch is almost over so I had better get going. I am just swamped today. The phone won't stop ringing and there has been a steady stream of employees stopping by today! Not a good day for me to get such a late start to.

Hello from Rita (& Amy who is at work with me today so that I can strictly BF her).

Easing the transition to daycare: I took Maddy for a few hours each day the week before I went back to work fulltime. I made up a "Baby's First Photo Album" for Maddy with pictures of us together, pictures of DH and me and our pets. She loved the album and often took her naps with it. I always sent her favorite toys with her. I found it easier not to call and check up on her unless there was something specific going on. Otherwise it would have been too hard for me. I trusted my caregiver and things worked out well for us. Amy has had no problems because she has Maddy with her.

Amy had a relapse yesterday, so the trip is still up in the air until tomorrow. Maddy is back to her spirited self. Dh really wants to go, but has told me that he will not be upset if I say no. Maybe I should just send him and Maddy...

Well, gotta go and feed Amy. Take care everyone!

Crystal here.

I know there's three weeks left before Darrel will officially be here, but there are a few things that I just had to tell everyone. It's not fair to just tell everyone on the other side and not y'all.

well,, Darrel did the cutest thing a few days ago. I was at Libby's, and we all had our drinkks on the coffee table. Darrel was on the floor with his sippy cup. After a while, he noticed that us grown-ups keep ur cups on the table except for when we get a drink. So what does Darrel do? He takes a drink from his cup and then puts his cup on the table with everyone else's!!!!! That's not all. Darrel pulled himself up yesterday morning onto my parents coffee table. He grabbed the green coaster that had caught his attention and then sat down. Darrel examined the coaster for a few minutes and then put it back on the coffee table. Just too adorable.

Well, that's all this time. If anything exciting happens between now and August 23, I'll be back to share it with everyone, especially if the exciting thing has to do wiith feet and legs and balance and mooving.

Hello ladies and sweet little babies. Okay I know that we are on Toddler's Today now but they are still and will always be our babies won't they? Well good news here. I did not go insane yesterday!!! I got back Taylor and Dillon's pics today and sent them to you all. Let me know if I forgot anyone. I think I sent them to everyone that wanted them and some that don't want them. LOL

Kelli- Sorry you couldn't get on here yesterday. I was really bored and would have loved to have had someone to talk to. Elizabeth sounds way too cute with her barking and meowing. She is really smart as are all our babies. Although Dillon hardly talks at all. Oh I made DH Beef enchiladas, spanish rice, refried beans, chili con queso and tostadas.

Beth- I know that you and Allison are very glad that DH is coming home today. It broke my heart about her crying and holding daddies picture close to her. How sad!! At least this week is his last like you said. Yes my Blake is growing up way too fast. He is always gone playing with friends now too. He will be driving and dating before I know it.

Julianne- I am sorry to hear about the storms last night. Send some of that rain our way as everything is dying including us because of all the heat. I am sorry that i said that Taylor still cries when I try to leave her somewhere, Not all children are the same, after all Taylor has never gone to daycare and only went to Mother's Day Out for a couple of months but did pretty good with it. Oh yeah, Colton sounds really cute with his NO NO!

Rita- I hope that Amy is better very soon and that you all will get to go camping this weekend. I am sure that it will be nice to get out of the house and get some fresh air. Great idea for the picture book.

Crystal- That Darrel is quite the little gentleman.

Talk to you all later.

Hi, Romaine here! I'm so glad that this is up and running! I had questions, but can't remember!

First, I want to say hi to my sister, Leanne and my nieces, Alexis, Cynthia and Veronica! I love you! You didn't tell me you found it!

There's a lot of posts to go through. Too many for me, I'm trying to keep up to the pregnancy board-4 weeks and 3 days to go!

I have a DD that is 16 1/2 months that we are preparing her for a big bed before the baby's arrival. Good luck yesterday, not so much today. If bad comes to worst, Baby will sleep in the play pen I guess!

I hope to check in now and then and maybe I will remember things that I wanted to ask about!

I hope to get to know some of you! Obviously many of you know each other from the baby board!

Hope to drop in again soon!

Hello again ladies. i hope that you are having a better day than I am. Dillon is crying and I feel like doing it also as I am not feeling well at all. My throat hurts and I have a headache that just won't quit. I have counted that there are already 12 of us on here and we know that abotu 5+ will be joining us next month. This will not be easy to keep up with after a couple more weeks or so.

Romaine- Welcome to you and Saba and the one int he oven. Do you know if it is a girl or boy? Anyway, congratulations to you. When we had to kick our Taylor out of the baby bed when Dillon arrived we would let her fall asleep with us and then put her in her big bed. We would make her lay in her big bed for a few minutes before she got in bed with us though so that she would start to get used to it.

Leanne- How was the Calgary Stampede? Or is it still happening? Taylor is mean to Dillon sometimes so she either goes to bed or in time out or I pop her on the hand and tell her that is not nice and that she should not do that to him because he loves her. As for the potty training thing. Blake potty trained before he was 3. Taylor right at 3 so they will all do it differently and at different times but they will let you know when they are ready for the big potty.

Crystal- Yay for Darrel. Dillon is cutting 4 molars and will have 12 teeth when they are through coming in.

Now i need to go fix them kiddos some supper. Will check in later. Take care.

I read on the other board that DeeDee lost her baby. How sad as I know she was so happy about it. Pray for her and let's keep her in our thoughts. Also, Teresa with Tori is pregnant again and Tori is only 6 months old. Let's pray for her also. I think everyone else is doing good. They are so hard to keep up with. I miss them already. Well I will go for now.

Hi! How is everyone? Elizabeth and I are doing good. I seem to have no energy lately! Anyone else feeling this way? I know it's not the heat because I am inside where there is a/c. I just feel so tired! Other than that, I am doing fine!

Beth, poor little Allison... Looking for her Daddy! Well, atleast he is there now and I bet they are just so happy to see each other. I bet you are pretty happy yourself! Hey, did you post on Pregnancy Today? I posted from December 97 to July 98 and I think I remember a Beth who posted.

Julianne, That is so cute that Colton says "no no". I bet it won't be cute before too long though! Elizabeth shakes her head No at me and I think I have heard her mumble it but I'm not sure yet. Okay, call me stupid... I saw this term being used several times on Babies Today and I think I know what it means because of the way it's been used... But what does AF stand for? I have never heard it before. It means when you pay your monthly dues, right? (in other words, getting your period) Don't I feel naive!

Rita, I sure hope Amy is feeling better! How is she doing today? HOw is Maddy doing? Wasn't she feeling a bit under the weather too?

Tracey, Like I said in my e-mail, you have some cute kids!!! Thanks for sharing the pictures! MMmmmmm! Dinner sounded great the other night! When are you going to come and cook a dinner like that for me? LOL! Yes, you are right... all our kids on BT and TT are smart! I sure hope you get to feeling better! I know looking after 3 kids isn't easy... especially since you aren't feeling well!! Get your rest!

Well, DH isn't feeling well so I better go and take care of my bigger baby! I hope he feels better soon... he helps so much with Elizabeth during the evening. Okay, I am being selfish! Anyway... hope everyone has a goodnights' rest and take care!

Leanne, I used to post on pregnancy today and Babies today too! But the last few weeks, I haven't been posting on BT... too hard to keep up. I did skim through every now and then and recognize your name. Glad you made it over to the "other side"!

Romaine, WELCOME TO YOU!!! You'll love this site!

Hello everyone...it's Cynthia,

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days, but I haven't been into work. It seems a curse has decended upon my house causing appliances, household items and our vehicle to break down. First it was our van..the breaks got really bad and we couldn't drive it anymore. Then after having to take the bus and walk home from the sitters, I find our front door permanently shut. The thingy that goes in and out on the side of the door when you turn the handle was stuck out so the door would not open. DH was working (he's a Para Transpo driver) and on the road so I couldn't get a hold of him. I finally had to break into my own house by taking away the wood insert beside the air conditioner. Then our TV that we just had repaired stopped working again. Then our brand new fridge(frost-free) frosted up and let everything in the freezer melt. Oh what a lovely few days I've had. By the end of today, everything should be fixed and back to normal so I'll end my little pity party now.

MICHELLE: I'm from Ottawa, Ontario. So HELLO to my fellow Canadian. Tracey mentioned something about buying a clip from Wal-Mart for our strap problem, but our Wal-Marts just aren't the same as the American ones, don't you find that? If I see something like that I'll let you know.

DEBBIE: I think we all go through that poop nightmare. Our babies seem to think it's really great stuff. They don't mind the smell, the texture or the taste. These are the same babies who refuse healthy food!!! I just wanted to say that I can totally relate to your situation. Been there, done that!!!

LEANNE: (Are you the other fellow Canadian???) I'm from Ottawa. You have excellent taste in names. I have always gone by Cynthia exept when I was little. I was call Cindy until I was three, then my mother's snooty british friend came along and said "Why do you call her Cindy, when she has a beautiful name like Cynthia?" The rest is history. I actually work with a girl here name Cynthia also, but she goes by Cindy. Makes it alot easier in such a small office. My DH calls me Cyn most of the time, as do my siblings. My mother still calls me Cynthia. Then again, she still thinks I'm her baby. (I am the youngest, but I'm 37 now!!!)

TRACEY: Your kids are really cute. Really nice pics. Taylor looks so much like you. You must be Superwoman in the kitchen!!! 4 hours!!! I sure hope he appreciated all your hard work. I'll bet it was absolutely delicious.

BETH: That's so sad about Allison missing her Daddy. Adam really misses Keith too. Everytime he sees a vehicle that resembles a Para bus, he points and says "dat daddin"(That's Daddy). 99.9%
of the time it isn't him. Once in a blue moon it actually is Keith. That boy loves his father.

OK, now I just got a call and Keith needs me to go home and help him with the break job on the van??!!! Like I know what to do!!! Oh well, at least I can hand him tools and hold this or get him that. Why did I even bother to venture into work today.

Talk to you all later. Sorry to ramble on and on.

Wow, we are getting more mommies on this board every day! My evening did not get much better after I left work. AF was very mean to me yesterday--2 accidents! Yuck, that has not happened in such a long time, at least it didn't happen at work.

When I put Colton in bed last night he started crying right when I was about to go downstairs. I decided I would bring the laundry down and then check on him, hoping he would fall asleep on his own. No such luck. He seemed to have spit up so I bent down to feel his sheet and he threw up all over. He had lots in his stomach to empty too! He had just drank a 7oz bottle 15 min ago and had eaten his cereal about an hour earlier. Of course he was turned towards me so I wore most of it. Once again, Yuck! Just wasn't my day yesterday.

He has started to do something cute in the bathtub. He picks up his toys and throws them either into the water or against the back of the tub. The ducks are his favorite. He just giggles when they hit!

Beth: Glad you DH comes home today. It must be hard with him away so much the past few weeks. Sounds like it has been hard on Alison too, reading your post broke my heart.

Rita: Hope Amy feels better and you still get to go on vacation. Your idea of sending at least DH & Maddy sounds good too.

Crystal: Darrel sure is observant. Sounds like he is learning good habits early. Yeah for tooth #7- a molar too -wow.

Leanne: Colton is my first so no suggestions for siblings or potty training. My sister had a really hard time with her daughter, took her until she was 3 1/2 to be trained. Good luck and lots of patience.

Romaine: Welcome. Good luck with your baby on the way--you don't have too much farther to go.

Tracey: Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. Hope your throat & headache clear up fast.

Kelli: DH & I have been so tired too even with the AC on. The heat index is over 100 by us today. Yes, AF means your period. I had never called it AF before either. There is a list of abbreviations & their meanings somewhere on this site. That helped me alot with reading the postings when I first started. My DH lovingly refers to it as the monthly monster! I think I tend to get a little moody.

Oops, I almost forgot to mention that Colton got to finger paint with the toddlers at daycare yesterday. He had green fingers and green in his hair! Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Hey everyone. Getting ready to leave work early today as my sitter just called and Allison is sick with a stomach virus! Rita, did you let Amy get Allison sick?? :-) Nice to leave work early on a Friday, but wish it was for some other reason besides her being sick. So, I won't see you guys again until Monday (one of those work only posters!). Good news however, we got a computer this week and will probably be hooked up at home sometime next week so I can talk to all you ladies at night. i will have to get one of those ICQ numbers and get all of yours too.

Kelli - I did post on PT for a while. I didn't find it until I was 38 weeks pregnant, however and only posted for a few weeks before having Allison. I posted a few times in early July after I got back to work from maternity leave, but I remember you I think you asked about a Land's End diaper bag once, and I have one of those so I told you all about them.

Rita - hope Amy is better so you can go camping this weekend.

Romaine -welcome!! when's your due date??

Julianne - can't remember what I was going to say, but Hi anyway :-)

Tracey - thanks for the websight about teeth. haven't had a chance to check it out yet, but I will soon!

Cynthia - glad to see you on here. I missed you when you stopped posting on BT after Adam turned one.

Well, I was terrible and didn't take very good notes (I promise to do better in the future!) I will talk to you ladies on Monday. have a great weekend! Hopefully I won't have a sick baby the whole time and this will just be a little 24 hour thing. Bye for now!

Hello from Rita.

Just me and Amy and the cats at home today. Larry took Maddy and both dogs camping. Brave man! (or foolish man!) One of his co-workers and her DH were going to meet us, so Larry may have a little relief. He just won't be able to make one of his pre-dawn fishing excursions. Maddy was really excited about going, so I don't think it sunk in that I would not be there the whole weekend. We had a long and silly snuggle session this AM, so hopefully that will do.

Amy had a temp of 102 at 3AM, so I thought it best not to take her. Of course she had no temp at the doctor's, but I still need to watch her since the fever comes on every afternoon and evening. Maybe Amy and I can get some stuff done around the house. We stopped at the store since Larry just about took all of the food. Just had to get some Pepperidge Farm Milanos. :-)

Tracey - I hope that you are feeling better. I know that it's hard to rest with kids around, but do take care of yourself. Thanks for the pictures.
Taylor looks so cute. I am trying to think who she reminds me of - maybe a bit of Hayley Mills in The Trouble with Angels? It's that gleam in her eye...

Debbie - Well, obviously I didn't make the camping trip either. I guess that means that Larry will have to plan another.:-) I am glad that he took Maddy. She has her first fishing pole. (it has plugs on it)She likes nothing better than playing outside and getting dirty anyway. I am sure that he will need a vacation when he gets home. LOL

Well, time to go and check on my napping angel. Take care everyone.

Hi Ladies and Toddlers Leanne Here

First of all Hi Romaine!!!! It was so cool to see your name on here. Now we can talk even more!!! Jeff and Dave will be really excited about that one eh? I just found this yesterday after I talked to you, that is why I never said anything. I have not been on for 2 weeks. Kiss, kiss for sweet Saba and tummy kisses for baby(?), are you feeling better? bruises and all. Give a hug and kiss to mom and dad for me k?

Sorry ladies had to get that out!! I am in the mists of planning Veronicas first birthday!! I really dont like doing birthdays. There is always such a pressure to make it so special, when all they really care about is having mommy and daddy there and the wrapping paper at One and with my 5 year old she just wants all her friends over to play. Guess I should not put the pressure on. It is making things a bit harder as my SIL's boys birthday is 2 days before Veronicas (he will be 2) and they are having a big party for him and now I cant have a Birthday party for her on the weekend as it is his so I guess I will just invite a couple of people over after supper Tuesday (aug. 10) for some cake. Dont want a bunch of people too hecktic. Just grandparents One set of friends and my BIL and SIL's that should be plenty.

Anyways enough complaining - I guess just dont want Veronica to grow up!! She is just so cute and fun and happy I just want her to stay this age forever. Plus Alexis (5) will be going to kindergarten this fall and with Cynthia potty training and talking more - boo hoo they are growing up so fast. Right now they are all playing Mommy Daddy and baby together. So cute I love it when they all play so nicely together. Veronica loves her big sisters so much She just screeches when she sees them.

Went for a bike ride with the kids today. What fun. We bought Alexis a bike and she did quit well. Veronica and Cynthia sat in the wagon or what ever you call it behind my bike. Going for anotherone this weekend with dh. Really looking forward to it.

Some posts:

Crystal: Congrats on the molor!!! How has he been doing on it. Those things are always so tough to teeth through. Hope it does not disturbe his sleep to much.

Tracey: Thanks for the info on the potty training thing. I did not realize that you had three kids??? I guess I am just putting pressure on myself and Cynthia because Alexis was potty trainied so early. There is a lesson there not to compair you kids right?

Kelli: Thanks for the welcome. I remember you from bt but I never posted at the preg. as I had just gotten the internet a couple months ago. I wish that I had found it last year when I was pregnant. I would have really enjoyed it. I like to look to see what is up with them. And also to check on my sister Romaine - just to see what she is not telling me LOLOLOLOLO

Cynthia - Yes very nice name. I just want to call her Cynthia, I know that she will probably get it shortened or nick names once she goes to school but I am hopeing that Cynthia will stay. Sorry to hear about all your home disasters!!! They say things always happen in threes. It is pretty sad when you have to break into your own house eh? Pretty scarey too when you think how easy it is to do it. CANADIAN yes! From Calgary. It is really rare to see other Canadians on here. I notices that Michelle is from Calgary too.

Jullian: Veronica has done the same thing recently as Colton, she cries so hard that she ends up throwing up!! I am glad that it raley happens. She has had a cold so she ends up chocking on some of her mucus and she chokes and gags and that seems to make her spit up!! I feel so bad when I go in there. Usually if she does cry a bit which is not often(usually goes down and just plays for a bit) she will fuss for maybe 2 minutes then plays or falls asleep. Hope that Colton in doing fine now. Is he a good sleeper?

Beth: Glad to see you here. I remember you from Bt I hope that you feel better. I guess there is a nasty flu going around here. We were lucky that the girls just got a bit of a cold. It makes it hard when you are sick and have to take care of kids. Maybe dh will jump in and give you a nights break. Go to bed early. Take the weekend off.

Rita: SOunds like fun for the camping trip. Hope that Amy feels better. I am surey Maddy will come back black from all the dirt but with a huge grin on her face from al the fun!!!

WOW i dont think I have ever posted that much!!! Have a great weekend ladies.

Romaine say hi to Jeffy for me too. Tell him I want to play that You dont know Jack game again!!! I want to wip his butt. LOL Love YOU

Have a great one ladies!!

Hello everyone. Seems that none of us feel too well lately or we are having a bad day for some reason or another. We just need this weekend to roll around so everything will hopefully be better for us all.

Dillon is going down for another nap now as he was really thowing a fit because he was not getting his way. Also lately he has not wanted us to feed him. I guess he thinks that he is getting too big for that already. It may be that he is teething though so I am really not wrroied about it now.

I still am not feeling well and laid down on the couch and slept until 2. Jay stayed home so he could take care of me. Isn't he just so sweet?

Kelli- I do not have any energy also which is not a good thing since I have three kids to keep up with. I hope you get some energy soon and if you find some send some my way also. The meal was really yummy. I will be there tomorrow to fix one for you. Hope you have a great weekend.

Cynthia- Sounds like you have had one of those weeks that you just want to forget all about. Watch out fixing that van. Last time when I was helping Jay fix our van he pulled the hood down on my head and it hurt like hell. I think he was trying to kill me. LOL Hope things get better for you and soon. Adam sounds so cute hinking that every bus is his daddy. I bet he acts just like him huh? Taylor acts just like me which is not a good thing. I have quite a bad attitude most of the time.

Julianne- Sounds like you are not having a very good week either. I always hated having those accidents with AF but I no longer have that time of month since I had my hysterectomy and I am so thatnkful for that. That is one part of womanhood that I do not miss at all. Sorry that Colton threw up on you. All you ladies better not send that throw up thing this way. I do not want it here in this house.

Beth- Sorry to hear that Allison is sick. Seems that happens allot with her. Probably since she is around so many other children. Oh well, they all get sick sometime. Hope you have a nice weekend.

Rita- Sorry that Amy still has fever. You and her will get some rest this weekend hopefully and she will be back to her normal self again. Your DH is very brave taking a 2 year old camping by himself. There is no way that mine would ever do that. He would think that I was crazy just suggesting it. Sounds like Taylor and Maddy need to get together and take a fishing trip. Well I hope you have a nice weekend.

Well ladies I will check in later. Take care.

Leanne- Glad that you all had such a nice time bike riding. I really want a bike for Christmas and hopefully I will get one. I know that you mean about the birthdays. Blake is 6 now and he always wants his friends there and it is always so expensive. Poor Taylor has hers after Dillon so she doesn't usually have many people there at all. Dillon's is on June 18 and we had about 20 people over but I was so glad when that day was over. My neices is July 9 and Taylor's is July 7 so neither one of them ever have much of a party. We usually have one on Saturday and the other on Sunday. It usually works out pretty well.

Good Morning, Debbie here.

Just to let you know that I will be gone this next week. I am taking the girls to my parents & then we will be going up north to visit some areas. Dh needs to study for a test & interview coming up so I thought he could use some quite time. He has said before that he cant get anything done when he gets home.... poor guy! So, he will not have any excuses this next week.

Have a great week & talk to you all soon.
