Expert Q&A

Any suggestions on how to get my toddler to try new foods?

While some toddlers are willing to eat anything, many are very particular about trying new foods. But put a colorful bowl of dip and some fun "dippers" in front of them, and watch what happens! Done right, dips are a healthy option to spark the interest of the pickiest toddler.

Kids love finger foods and love to dip. Toddlers and preschoolers are still exploring and learning with their hands and love to graze with foods of different colors, textures, shapes and tastes.

Finger foods are a real favorite – especially those that they can dip into something to create a new taste and texture. Although this can be messy for the parents, it sure is fun for the kids. Dips can also add a nutritious punch and are a great way to help parents to get their child to eat more nutritious foods or try new foods by adding a little familiarity, pizzazz and fun!
