Should I enroll my child in an organized physical activity program?

Developmentally appropriate organized programs can offer little ones and their parents opportunities for socialization, and those involving physical activity can ensure that children have the chance to regularly play and move. Don't assume, however, that you must enroll your child in a program to do right by her. Before making a decision, visit the center you're considering and bring your child with you. Which looks like the most fun? Which holds the most appeal for your toddler? Does she want to participate?
