November 25th
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…..:o) The snow is falling at a rapid speed and it looks absolutely beautiful outside! I think I will put some firewood in the fireplace and have a nice fire going all day. Winter is here! I love winter until after the holiday’s of course, and then cold and snow is just a mess and nuisance lol. I will enjoy it for now though and happily watch my children play in the snow.
~*~*~A cold~*~*~
Along with the cold winter days come the first colds of the season. Everyone in the house has been stricken by a running nose, scratchy throat and croup cough. Alec has is trying so hard to fight this cold and only stops what he is doing every once in a while to wipe his nose or to tell me “Mommy I don’t fwwweeee gooood” and then he is off and playing trains again. I sure hope he feels better tomorrow for our trip. So far I have only given him Tylenol Cold and flu once last night and I may give him a little at nap time today so he can get a good rest.
~*~*~Thanksgiving plans~*~*~*~
I have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving and I am trying my very hardest to focus on them. Our Thanksgiving is going to be very different this year and I am trying very hard not to act like a spoiled brat about the changes. I was looking forward to going to my mother’s house and helping her cook dinner while the kids and men watched football while a fire burned in the fireplace. The older kids would help us set the table and we would all have a relaxing day. Well, plans took a quick change when my father told us that he was very worried about my grandmother. She has been extremely forgetful and we have all been suspecting for about a year now she has altimers (sp) . My dad spoke with his sister and they set up an appt for the Dr on the Friday after thanksgiving. So the plan changed to go up to Wis for Thanksgiving. Which, this was okay with me,I love my grandmother dearly and I will go more into my memories with my grandmother in future diary entries. I did not mind going up there, However now it has turned into us going up to the Dells and staying at Water park resort (which is still okay) this evening (Wen) and then tomorrow on THANKSGIVING we are going to go to a restaurant! Ugh… I wanted to go to Grandmas house and make dinner for her. I wanted some what of a “normal tradition” Thanksgiving for us. :o( After we eat at the restaurant we will drive the three hour trip home with full stomachs. Ugh.. I guess I should just stop my whining and be happy to visit with my grandmother huh?
On Saturday I am going to put a Turkey on the grill and I am going to have our Thanksgiving dinner then. After we eat we will put up our Christmas tree. :o)
~*~*~Christmas gifts??~*~*~
I have no idea what I am getting Alec for Christmas! I think I am just going to go to Toys R Us and look around .If anyone has any ideas please let me know on my Talk to me board!
Well that is all for now we are leaving in about an hour!
