Alec~
The Terrible twos may slowly be inching their way into your sweet little disposition my little guy. For the most part you have been a dream and the most laid back little child I know UNTIL… now! The last week you have thrown several tantrums and you are not into hitting when you are mad about something. You can go from sweet as pie one moment to the crazy two year old the next minute. Your cuteness and charm have saved you from many time outs that you should have been put in. What can I say .... you are my baby and you shoot me those cute little looks with the boo- boo lip and I melt. *sigh* I need to be more firm with you from now on or these tantrums will forever go on and I will create a monster. LOL I can’t believe in less then a month you will be 2. I have ordered your party supplies and as soon as I get them I will be sending out your invitations. We will once again be doing a Blues Clues birthday because you are now obsessed with the show and every time I tried to show you some other birthday choice, you would cry and say “Nooooooooo Bluuuuueeee…Bluuuuuueee.” So I said what the heck it’s your birthday. :O) I have a couple different plans for this time around so we won’t do the same exact thing. For a while you were not talking very much like you had in past and I was a little worried but I have no idea why. Your vocabulary has flourished in the past couple of months and every day you will surprise me with a word out of the blue. The other day it was Magenta (from Blues clues.). I thought that was a strange one to pick up on. Today it was Apple pie. LOL
You have been doing so well in your big boy bed and you are happy to have the freedom of getting up and playing in the morning instead of being confined. We have the gate up so you can’t get out of the room and so far so good.
We went to target the other day and you spotted a Blues Clues kiddy toilet seat that you just had to have. I was very excited about this and told you that it was for the potty. You said “Mommy…pee poo bye bye potty.” I clapped my hands and got all excited and a woman who was very pregnant just gave me a very odd disgusted look. I quietly said to myself… she will soon understand. Anyway, you held that seat until we got home and put it on the potty. You have since gone on it several times and have peed about 3 times. I am not pushing you, however I do encourage you every chance I get.
My goal this weekend is to get your Creative Memories Baby Album done. :0) Becoming a consultant has really pushed me to get going on my own albums and hopefully I will have your first year of life done by your second birthday LOL . I am just going to work like mad on it all weekend then a little more each night after you go to bed.
Your father and I have made the decision to seriously start trying to get you into modeling. Everywhere we go people say your personality just shine through and we should put you into modeling. So, I am going to try and look into some agencies and see what they say. We can always try it out and see if we like it not. We had thought about this once before but gave it up for personal reasons, However, we are ready now.
That is all for now, I can hear you getting up from your nap.
Love, Mommy
