~*~Jt in the Parade~*~
Jayman was up at 5:30 Friday morning and pacing the bedroom floor in front of me because it looked like it was going to storm. He was worried sick, that the parade would be stormed out and he would not get his day of fame. Lol. I eventually persuaded him to lie down and rest for while. At 6:45 he was jumping up and down in front of me telling me it was clear out and the sun was shining. :O) Yaaaayyy the parade would still go on! I pushed myself out of bed and got the crew ready for the day and headed over to my dads house. I dropped J.t. off to wait with my dad for Joe to pick him up while I ran to Krispy Cream to get some doughnuts to eat during the parade ( a tradition we started a couple years ago). I got back just in time and I walked over to our spot that my dad had already set up. The weather was beautiful and although it was a little warm we had a spot in the shade. Alec and Autumn had a fun time filling their bags with all the candy that was thrown our way. Alec was not thrilled with all the sirens from the fire trucks and buried his head into my chest for the time they went past us. Finally, after about 15 minutes Jt’s float came down. It was SO precious because Alec spotted Joe way down the street walking along side the float and screamed “There is MY Daddy!!!!” and ran to him before I had a chance to grab him. Of course everyone was saying “Awwweeee” and it was a sweet moment. Jt looked so proud as he waved to the crowd and I could tell he thought he cool. Lol :o) Silly Mommy forgot film though and didn’t get any pictures. :O( The parade was really long this year and a bit drawn out but the kids had a good time.
*More on our 4th of July*
After the parade we walked back to dad’s house and Joe headed back to work. I got some crazy idea that I wanted to go shopping so I left Jt with my dad to go swimming and took Alec and Autumn shopping with me. What a DUMB CRAZY idea that was. LOL Everyone was in such a hurry and rude. I just made sure I smiled at everyone and wished them a Happy 4th. :) The lines were horrendous and I was sure the kids would go into a meltdown at any moment. By the time we got to the third store, 3 hours later we were really close to a meltdown or two happening. I promised swimming at pupas and luckily, that made them happy. We spent the rest of the afternoon in the pool and the kids had a great time. I was a little tired but happy to be spending the afternoon with just the kids and I. ( My dad was in the house resting). When my mom got off work she started dinner while I got the kids dried off and dressed again. Jt crashed and took a long nap while Autumn and Alec played with some books and toys Oma keeps there just for them. My sister came by to visit and it was a little awkward as usual. I try my best to just stay positive and happy for her. When she tries to compete with every little thing I say, I just leave it be and don’t try to fight it out with her. She seems to be really unhappy with life in general right now and I don’t want to feed into that negativity. However, she did compliment me on my hair color and my weight loss. :) She was kind of rude to my mom about getting her dinner ready before she had to leave (She was leaving at 6 to go out with friends and Joe was not going to be there until 6 because of work). I stood back and let my mom deal with it and was surprised that my mom actually told her to deal with it and told her that our lives don’t revolve around when she goes out.Yaaay Mom! My sister did end up eating before she left and the rest of us waited for Joe. The dinner was wonderful, we had steak, ribs, potato salad, pasta salad and corn. Yum, I totally pigged out but that’s okay. After dinner I told my mom to relax and just play with the kids in the pool while I cleaned up. I washed and put away all of her dishes and then straightened up the kids mess and was just finishing up when the kids started coming back inside. I again got the kids all dressed up again and then I started to feel a bit of heat exhaustion (My parents air when out the evening before the 4th! UGH!!!). I went upstairs to freshen up and try to cool off .
We were then ready to walk down the street to see the fireworks. I was preparing myself to walk back with Alec if he got scared and antsy. I was pleasantly surprised though and Alec loved the first 5 minutes of the display. He then proceeded to lay his little head in my lap and fall asleep. The display was enjoyable and we had a nice time. I have to say I think we (Our community) could have made more out of this 4th of July this year.. It seems to me that we HAVE SOOOOOO much to be thankful for this 4th and should have paid more respect to the soldiers that fought for us this year. That being said, I plan to think more about that next year and put something in the works for my family to do.
~*~Party At *Z*’s house~*~
I have not mentioned my daycare child *Z* very much in the last couple of months. It is only because he has not been here much and I think we are gradually weaning him from coming to my house for childcare. His mom is not working now and I do not think she plans to work after these babies FINALLY come (Her due date was supposed to be WAY back when Allisun (MT writer) had her get together and then the Dr.’s said her dates where all screwed up because of a weird cycle so she is going in on the 14th of July for induction. )!! I miss *Z* and yet I completely understand the situation and I am actually encouraging her to stay home with the 3 kids. I have become closer friends with his mom and we talk weekly to catch up on stuff. Anyway, we were invited to party at their house on Saturday and I was excited to go. I felt bad because it did not turn out as *A* had planned ( I guess a lot of people did not show up) and I could tell she was a bit stressed out. :O( We ended up only staying for a couple of hours and I felt bad we left after such a short time but we did not know anyone there and we were kind of just sitting there. I think *A* understood why we left though.
~*~ Quick In home Daycare Update~*~
I still LOVE doing my In home daycare and we have had a lot of this summer going to the park and swimming in the kiddie pool out in the backyard. I currently only watch *J* who is Alecs age and they are the best of friend now. :O) He comes Tues, Wen and Thurs for the full day. Then I watch *G* who is Autumns age and she comes Tues, Thurs and Fri. for a full day. In the Spring I don’t think *G* will come back because she will be in school. Autumn will miss her but I am sure we will still get together with her and Autumn will busy with school herself. I am so excited ,I just got a call from a lady I met with months ago and have been talking to about watching her twin boys full time this fall! Her boys are adorable and I can’t wait to watch them! This woman has an incredible story that I will share with all of you someday and I can’t wait to start watching her boys. We are going to have such a blast this year. :O)
~*Jt at the cub’s game*~
On Sunday Jt had a day that many little boys dream about! He went to Wrigley field and got to meet all the Chicago Cub players on the field. J.t slept over at my parent’s house the evening before so that my father could get him downtown really early. I guess he was up at 5:30 a.m. asking when it was going to be time to go .LOL. Luckily; they decided to go downtown early because I was told the lines were horrendous. Jt, was one of the first in line though and got to see many of his favorite players and one of his biggest idols, Sammy Sosa. :) Jt went up to Sammy and gave him a huge hug and got the best picture taken with him. Then Sammy whispered something to him in his ear and Jt had a huge smile on his face. What a lucky little boy. My dad took the pictures to get developed at the one hour place and when Joe saw them he got tears in his eyes. He was so happy that his little boy got to meet one of his childhood idols. Joe never got to do anything like that as a child ( His childhood idol was Walter Peyton) and is so happy his son could experience something like that. You can see the pictures at this URL. There are 3 pages of pictures. http://www.geocities.com/luvbeingmommy/Jt.html
Well I better run~ I have tons more to talk about but will save that for the next entry! :)
