*Chewing gum and playing baseball*
Jt had his last baseball game on Friday. When I arrived I had to chuckle because all of the boys were already covered in dirt because they had been rolling around the field during practice. You can just guess who was by far the dirtiest of all of them… lol yes, that would be my son, otherwise known as pigpen (referring to the little guy on Charlie Brown)! The boys were playing a good game but I noticed they were not hitting as well as they used to. Then I noticed the culprit when Jt was up to bat. He was chomping on a big wad of bubble gum. I took a peak over to the bench and saw 10 dirty little boys all trying to blow bubbles. (Wish I had my camera!)It was absolutely Hilarious to watch! Joe had told them that since it was the last game they could chew gum and they were all over that one. Despite the bubble gum, J.t played really well and did a great job hitting.
He still needs some work on catching.
After the game an older gentlemen (probably a grandfather) came up to Joe and asked to talk to him. (He was from the other team we played against) He told Joe how impressed he was with Joe as a coach and how amazing he was with the children .He said his love for children was shining through and wanted to just let him know it. Wow, Joe was speechless.
We signed Jt up for a week long baseball camp through the park district. Real baseball players come to teach them so Jt is really excited about it. He is however, disappointed because they are from the Chicago white soxs and we are big time cubs fans. He will get over it though and I am sure he will have a great time. He better have a good time it is $200.00 for one week 3 ˝ hours a day . :o)
Joe and I ended up not going out Friday night and got the kids pizza and some movies to celebrate Jt’s last game of the season.

*Our midnight adventures*
The kids were up VERY late that Friday and I was exhausted. They watched the movie we got for them and then were up and balls of energy at 10:00. Ugh~ finally, at 11:00 I got them settled down and asleep. Not for long though, it all started with Autumn. Whenever she has to get up in the middle of the night to use the restroom, she screams this awful scream that goes right through me. I ask her what is wrong and she says she has to go potty. So I get her out of bed and she continues to scream when I put her on the potty. She goes and then is fine and back off the bed ( This happens at least twice a week). Meanwhile, she woke up Jt who is trying to sneak in our room and sleep on the floor. A bad habit we have been trying to break for months now. I keep telling him and guiding him to go back to bed and he won’t listen. Finally, after 45 minutes I am too tired to fight any longer and lay back down. About 10 minutes later I hear “Mommy, I drink….I drink? “ Before I can open my eyes I hear a thud and then jump out of bed. Alec had snuck downstairs and gotten a gallon of milk for me to pour him a drink, and it fell on the floor. The entire gallon of milk was spilling out onto my carpet. Ugh! I got Alec a cup of water and went to clean up the mess. I tried to soak the milk all up with towels and scrubbed it with cleaner. Finally, 4:30 I went back to bed. At 5:30 a.m. I am awoken by the blaring tv that Jt turned on. I gave up, so much for sleep. I worked on the carpet some more and it was already starting to smell eeeeeeeeeeewwwwwww. I have been working on this carpet ever since and it still smells rancid. I have tried EVERYTHING! Luckily, a friend (and soon to be fellow new moms today writer) of mine referred us for a free carpet cleaning and they are coming out Monday to clean the carpets.

*Joe is in the Dog house*
Despite being tired as all heck on Saturday I managed to do some shopping and took Jt along. While I was gone Alec and Autumn were supposed to be taking a nap so you can imagine my surprise when I pulled up to see Alec standing in our front yard by himself!!! I grabbed Alec and ran inside to find Joe UPSTAIRS and oblivious to what had just happened. Of course I carried on like a lunatic and asked him what he was thinking. His response was” He was just up here with me.” Well, obviously NOT !!!!!???????” I could not understand why he had let this happen because he is always SO good about watching the kids when I am gone. I now feel as though I can NEVER leave Alec with him while I am gone and if I do, I will be a worried wreck the entire time. This is so disappointing and I have not even talked to Joe about it since the initial scream fest I had with him. :o( He has been trying to kiss my butt ever since and took me out on Sunday to get our new leather couch, but this is not something that is forgiven so easily. Our TWO year old child was outside by himself and Joe had NO idea!! I shiver to think what would have happened if I were not home. I know he would have walked along the path to the back of our house and went to go play in the pond back there!!!! ::o(

*Fireworks*
On Sunday we went to a Firework display that we go to every year with our friends Jen,Jon and their daughters. We arrived really early (7:30) with plenty of snacks so the kids could run off some energy. Jt our little worry wart kept lathering on the bug cream and when we asked him why he said he did not want to get the West Niles virus. (Boy this kid picks up on everything. He must have heard me on the phone talking about this a couple days before.) We just told him that he was fine when he had the cream on and he did not need anymore. When it started to get dark he wrapped himself in a blanket so the bugs would not get him. He then started asking how loud the fireworks were going to get and if the flames could come by us. ( Jt has been scared of fireworks since he was a year old. Although, every year it is less and less traumatic) This poor child is going to have an ulcer by the age of 10 if he keeps it up. The fireworks started and Alec was not sure what to think at first. He wanted to look at them but was scared of the loud (which were not very loud because we were REALLY far away from the display) booms. After about 5 minutes he decided he did not like them and buried his head into my chest and then pulled my jacket over his head. He was saying “Mommy wet’s (lets) go bye bye… I scwared (scared) and want to go bye bye” Poor sweetie. He just snuggled with me and continued to say “Bye Bye fireworks..bye bye.” He did not seem to be REALLY upset or crying so we stuck it out. Jt did really well and had the blanket over his ears but watched the whole thing. Of course Autumn was dancing around to the pretty fireworks and loved them. On the way home all the kids tuckered out and slept in on Monday morning ( Of course on a week day!)

*Staying in shape and some venting*
I can finally say I fit into a size six.  Woohooo! I still have a bunch of toning up to do and a lot of work ahead of me but I feel great about this accomplishment. (Started out at a size 11/12 some 13/14) I struggle every day at the 5:00 p.m. mark and just want to eat and eat as I am waiting for dinner to finish up but I try to busy myself so I don’t think about it. I have been really BAD about exercising and it really bugs me after I blow it off. I just keep hitting the snooze button until it is too late to get to the gym! Aggggg My goal for this week is to get my butt to the gym.
I am starting to get a little aggravated with Joe over weight loss but have not approached him on it just yet. I guess, I am just not sure on how to do it. Since I have met my wonderful husband he has put on 90 pounds.(up 10 pant sizes) No joke, no over exaggeration, 90 pounds. I love him no matter what and support him through everything. However, I have taken a lot of time and hard work to get myself back in shape and now his habits are driving me nuts. I have tried for three months now to have him work on the same plan as I am. I run around like crazy every morning getting a shake ready for him when he gets out of the shower and then packing a shake and plenty of healthy snacks for during the day. The minute he is out of work for the day he throws it all down the drain.( I suspect he sneaks fast food at work all the time as well but have no proof) He will go out for greasy food after his softball games and on school nights. On the nights he is at home he will eat the meal I make but then go back an hour later and make himself a sandwich or two and then later bring a bag of pretzels to bed (UGH I HATE HATE THIS!!!!!!!!) He paces in the kitchen looking for other foods (That I refuse to buy now because I know he will eat them all night long) all night long. He also drinks soooo much pop that is make me ill. He will easily drink 4-5 cans of pop after he gets home from work ( @7:00 pm). Ugh.. it just bugs me that he isn’t even trying. :o( On top of all this the man smokes more and more each day but that is an entirely different issue and he is not allowed to smoke anywhere near the kids and can NOT smoke in the house.
Okay, enough of dogging Joe for one entry. I love him dearly. I really do.
Well, that is all for now~
