*Things I love about Alec*

* When he puts his little hands on my cheeks and says “Smooch Mommy, Smooch” and wants a kiss from mommy.

* When I am busy doing something and he says “X-cuse (excuse) me mommy….X-cuse me mommy….I wuv you”

* When he sneaks downstairs after bed time with his blanket and pillow in hand and says “Mommy wets (let’s) cuddle”

* How much he looks up to and loves his brother and sister

* I can be gone for 5 minutes or two hours and I still get the excited welcome home and bombarded with hugs from Alec.

* The way he sings the Sponge Bob Square pants song. I can’t stand the show but Daddy has let him watch it on a couple of occasions and he sings the song all the time now.

* The way he says Mickey Mouse ( Mee Mee Mouse)

* Cuddles after bath time

* Getting ready for Vacation*

Just four more days and we will be on our long awaited vacation. Last weekend we went and got all the little things we will need for the vacation such as sunscreen, Tylenol for the kids, first aid stuff etc… I even got sea bands in case anyone gets sea sick while we are on the cruise. We have gotten ALL the shopping done ( I think…lol) and tonight I will be packing up the kid’s suitcase. I can’t believe the vacation we have been planning for 18 months is just a few short days away. I have a binder that is jammed full with all the information you could possibly want to know about Disney World and the Disney Cruise. I have several different check lists in this book and almost everything is done. I have all of our confirmation numbers for dinners we made reservations for, and if I am missing anything we need I will be shocked. This weekend I am going to really work hard on getting this house spotless and do some deep cleaning. I also want to get some meals cooked and freeze them for when we get back. I don’t want to have to do any work when I come home. LOL *wishful thinking.*

I was looking around on the Disney Cruise website and was so happy to see they have a Workout area on the boat and even offer some aerobic classes. I was worried that my routine would be completely kicked out the door while we were on vacation, and I would get stuck back in a rut again with eating and not working out. The food on the cruise will be too good to pass up I am sure, but I will just have to workout a little harder each morning. Speaking of workouts, I am still getting up at 5:454 am each morning to go to the club. I feel so good afterwards and my mood for the rest of the day is much better.

*Changes in Life*
This vacation means more to me then just being a time away. I plan to pinpoint some of the things that make us feel so great on vacation, and hold on to them for our daily living at home. Why can’t we feel as though we are on a vacation all the time? Sounds a bit crazy I know, but it is good question. Our lives are so busy now, and time with the entire family is VERY limited. We need to make the most out of the time we do have together and treat it as though we are on a vacation. This vacation will not only be a fun get-away it will be a great learning experience that will improve our family relationship.

*Tornado*
Since Tornado season has come up, DH and I had a talk two weeks ago about what we would do if we were to get a Tornado warning. We do not have a basement and are limited on safe places to go. We decided that he downstairs bathroom would be the place to go if needed. Last Saturday night, Joe and I put the kids to bed and then had our friends over to play a game of “Battle of the sexes.”. I will admit that we ( the girls) were getting our butts kicked and not being very gracious about it. At 11:00 Joe decided to turn the tv off and open the windows up as we continued to play. At 11:15 the wind started to pick up and I commented on how nice the breeze felt. As soon as I said that, we started to hear sirens blaring and then our friend Rick said “It is not 10:00 am on Tuesday, those are for real.” I quickly turned the tv on and saw the Tornado WARNINGS and told Joe to go get the kids out of bed as I herded everyone into the bathroom. The kids were very confused and scared and it was very comical squeezing everyone in our extremely tiny bathroom that is hard to squeeze our family of five in. I remained surprisingly calm and was busy mothering everyone and saying things would be okay. Within my head, I was petrified and saying payers that we would be okay. The sirens seem to get louder and louder and the look on J.t.’s terrified face broke my heart. Autumn asked “Mommy, Why would God send Tornados to hurt people? “ I did not have an answer for her and just gave her a hug. After about a half hour we ventured out of the bathroom and sat in the living room. Everyone’s adrenaline was too pumped to relax and we ended up staying up until about 1 am. After our friends felt it was safe to go home we camped out downstairs. Joe wanted us to sleep downstairs so we could get to the bathroom quickly if the Tornado came back our way as it had done in other areas. Sunday morning we woke up very sore and not very rested but we have a story to tell now. Lol

Well, I will close out this entry as there is a ton to do. I will try my best to write out another entry right before we leave on Vacation

Thanks to anyone who is reading. I know my daily life may be a bit boring to read about and my writing is not the best. However, I would not change my life for anything and I will be going back to school next year and plan to take a couple writing classes. LOL
