Megan's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

December 22, 1999

Hello Everyone,

Well I am officially feeling the holiday stress now. I was doing so well until Sunday when I realized I had about 10 million things to do and only a few more days. I have been staying up until 1:00 or 2:00 a.m. trying to get things done and I am therefore sort of grumpy and feel like I'm in a cloud during the day. I am a bit more human today since my DH doesn't have to go to work until 4:00 p.m. today, so he let me sleep until noontime today. It was pure heaven, and not only did I get to sleep but the house was dead quiet because DH took both the girls with him to go Christmas shopping for me. He is truly wonderful. I can't believe he took both girls to the mall, he is much braver than I am. Of course when he got home, he told me that he had forgotten to take the diaper bag so he had no diapers for either girl and no bottles for the baby and the only thing he had fed Jordan all day was a donut, but beggars can't be choosers.

I am excited about Christmas because my cousin is coming to visit from Pennsylvania. I haven't seen her since last Christmas and it will be good to spend some time with her.

Jordan is looking forward to Christmas. It's so nice. This is the first year that she understands Christmas. It is so cute to hear her talk about Santa and that she is getting presents. I can't wait until Christmas morning to see the joy in her face when she opens all the presents that she is getting. I'll definitely have the camera on hand. This is one of the best things about being a parent, to see your child's happiness and excitement about the holidays. She is too young to start excepting a certain amount of toys or having the latest must-have hot toy, she just knows that one night she is going to bed and when she wakes up Santa will have left her presents. I can't wait until next week to tell you how everything goes. I feel like a kid myself, I haven't wanted Christmas to come this badly for years. Well, hope you all have wonderful holiday celebrations!!!!

Seasons Greetings,

Megan and Jordan
