Hi Everyone,This week has been pretty routine. Jordan is still on a weird sleep cycle but at least she is sleeping a bit more. She took two naps during the week but I don't think today's really counts because she doesn't feel good. She woke up vomiting last night and has been a little off today. She doesn't have a fever or anything but she is tired and clingy and won't eat. I think she ate something bad because we went out to eat last night and she got a different meal than we did. I happened to be in her room putting away her laundry when she woke up and started vomiting. I have to admit I was very freaked out. Believe it or not, she has never been sick before. She's had little colds and one ear infection but she's never thrown up or anything except for baby spit up. I started yelling for my DH to come help. He took over and cleaned up everything and I put her in new PJs. My DH thought it was very amusing that I seemed so upset over it and when he came in the room he said that I was just standing there looking dazed. I don't understand why. I work in a group home where I clean all sorts of bodily functions, not just vomit. I mean I have semi-medical experience from all that is required of us with medications and vitals. I think I just froze because I felt so helpless in not being able to make her better. I don't know!!! Weird!!!
Other than that we have been doing the Christmas thing. We got our tree and Jordan loves the lights. We are going to see Santa tomorrow. I hope she doesn't get scared like she did last year. This year I think she'll do better because she has been watching Christmas videos for a month and whenever she sees a picture of Santa (and they are every where) she says "Sanna Caus, ho, ho, ho." It is very cute. Of course there is a drawback to all the videos because her favorite is Barney's Night Before Christmas and she now tells everyone that on Christmas Santa and Barney are coming to her house. How do you explain that one to a 2 year old?
Well we hope you all aren't getting too stressed with the holiday season. See you next week with my report on the Santa visit.
Megan and Jordan
