Megan's Diary Entries

Hi All,

Things are going well at Potty Central!!! I am so glad that Jordan is finally into the whole potty thing. She has been doing great, still a few accidents here and there but for the most part we have success. And it is so nice to not have to buy as many diapers since she is only wearing them at bedtime. Those size 6 diapers that she wears are pricy and don't have many in a package.

Well we took a trip to the emergency room last night. This is a first, we've never had to take Jordan before and it turned out to be nothing but I was worried. All day yesterday Jordan complained of stomach pain and didn't want to eat. She was acting very tired and took a 3 1/2 hour nap until we woke her up to go to dinner. We went out to eat with the in-laws and Jordan just couldn't wake up, she was very lethargic and didn't eat anything or even talk. She ended up crawling under her chair and just lying there with her eyes open. This is very unlike her, she has so much energy. When we got home I took her temperature and she had a low grade fever. I of course go into panic mode that she has a bowel obstruction or appendix problems so I take her to a Urgent Care walk-in clinic and they take her temp and decide that they aren't equipped to properly run tests on her and send us to the ER. Once there and in a room (2 hours later) Jordan starts to perk up and by the time a doctor comes to examine her I'm sure they think I'm crazy. They end up not running any tests and telling me that she just has the stomach flu, (with no vomiting or diarrhea). I was not happy, and Jordan isn't feeling any better, she is still complaining of stomach pain today. I am wondering if I should stay home from school tonight incase she gets worse. That is about it in our world. Jordan has been very cute lately, my MIL was talking to Jazmine and called her a princess, Jordan got all upset and told her, "She is NOT a princess, she's my sister." Talk to you all next week.
