Hi Everyone,So far we are settling in very nicely. Jordan is doing very well with the change. She seems to really enjoy spending time with her Gramma Margie. She likes to talk to my mom and my grandmother on the phone but she isn't freaking out like I thought she would about not seeing them. There is a park down the road from our house that she likes to go to and DH and I had some together alone without the children time on Monday so we just drove around and checked out the city. I now know where all the Chuck E. Cheese's are and they have a Gymboree and Kids Play House. Good things to know for raining days and special treats.
I am settling in too. Went and got my new license today and our checks from our new bank came in today. I feel better about everything when I don't feel like a visitor. When I can go to the grocery store and write a check instead of having to use cash I know I'm part of the community.
Jordan is thrilled that there is a little girl right next door for her to play with. The little girl is 5 but she seems to enjoy playing with Jordan. Jordan is also enjoying her yard, she loves to sit at her Fisher Price picnic table and eat an apple. She sits there and swings her legs and hums to herself. It is such a beautiful sight. And it feels so good to be able to let her go out and play without being attached to me. Ah, the wonders of a fenced yard!!!
We haven't had much more progress with potty training. She still asks to go sit on the potty some times but she hasn't "gone." It's strange though because she'll say she did. I'm not really sure on how to handle it so I usually just say "good try." Any advice -- let me know!!! Until next week, have a good one.
