Hello,The reality of the move has started to sink in and I'm so nervous. I want everything to go well. I think Jordan can sense the turmoil in the house and the fact that our family and close friends are sad because we are moving. She has been acting out a lot more, she has started biting again -- something that she did for a little while before she turned two. She doesn't bite all the time and she doesn't do it in anger. She'll be giving you a hug and then just bite which ever body part is closest. I also feel like crap because I have let my stress make me do some not so good mommy things. One day last week I was having a bad day (not that that is a good excuse) but I don't even remember what Jordan did but before I knew it I said to her "You are being such a pain in my ass". Not exactly my best mommy moment. Of course this week it has come back to bite me in my ass. So far this week once while we were in a store and then yesterday while I was on the phone with my work, Jordan has decided to yell loudly over and over again, "You a pain in my ASS"!!! I am so embarrassed. That will teach me. And of course she only says it when there are people around.
Oh, good news, we've had a breakthrough in the potty training area. On Sunday morning when I was changing her in the morning she was making this little grunting noises so I asked her if she needed to poop, she said yes, so I asked her out of habit if she wanted to try going on the potty. To my shock, for the first time she said yes, off we rush to the bathroom where I put the seat that goes on the toilet on. She sits there and strains to go for a few minutes and then she tells me that it is too high, she wants her little potty so I race downstairs to get in and put her on it and she tries again for a few minutes. Finally she says, "I can't, I'll try again next time." I was just so happy that she willingly sat on the potty and tried to go. It hasn't happened since but at least it encouraged me to believe she would be potty trained before college!!!
We are going to a kids' fair in Providence on Sunday with my mom. I know Jordan will have a good time. I'll write all about it next week. Hope everyone is having a good one!!
