Hello All:I hope everybody is doing well this week. We are all fine here at the Byers' house. Jordan is being her usual cute self. She is still taking naps pretty regularly except for the days we have plans and are out and about then she just cat naps in the car.
Yesterday we had to take her to get her blood drawn. I don't think I mentioned before that Jordan was tested for lead levels in September and she has a lead level of 12. Anything over 10 is bad. We are not sure why she has this problem. We don't have any lead paint in our house, and when she was tested at 1 year old, her level was 4. We think it may have to do with the fact that my parents bought an old abandoned house last winter and have spent all year fixing it up. I read that lead dust stays in the air and gets into the ground and stays there for years. Since we found out her lead level was 12, we have been given her iron drops. Hopefully the results will come back with a low number. When lead levels get high, they cause brain damage and learning problems. Scary things to think about.
Of course DH makes me be the bad guy and take her in and help hold her while they take her blood and he stays in the waiting room with the baby. After she was done she went running to him crying "Daddy" and wouldn't talk to me or hold my hand for about an hour. I felt like crap!!!
Well until next week!!!
Have a good one!!!
Megan and Jordan
