Megan's Diary Entries

February 23, 2000

Hi Everyone,

Well Jordan had a very exciting weekend so I have lots to write about her.

First, on Saturday she went to see Sesame Street Live. She loved it!!! She just adores Elmo, so anytime she sees him is great. She had a good time and got a big Elmo balloon to take home. Elmo is currently floating around my living room ceiling and gave me a minor heart attack the other night when I walked through the dark room forgetting he was there. LOL. Saturday night she slept over her Great Gramma's house -- which is always a treat she loves -- and of course she was spoiled rotten while there. On Sunday she went to visit her Uncle Mike and went sledding and had a snowball fight. She is too funny, she keeps saying, "Snow okay to throw." Since we spent last summer learning that sand is not okay to throw. After sledding she went to a huge flower show at the Convention Center with my mom. She had so much fun thereThey had a big section just for kids that had a lifesized replica of the Teletubbie house the kids could play in and try to find the pictures of the Teletubbies, and since Jordan loves the Teletubbies (she can't sleep without talking Tinky Winky), that was a big hit. They also had arts and crafts, which she did, and she got her face painted. She came home and freaked when I had to wash the rainbow off at bedtime. But the thing she enjoyed the most was they had a big area of dirt and lots of veggies that the kids could pretend to plant and harvest. She came home so dirty, but she has talked about that all week. Of course it is kind of sad that everyone has told me that Jordan has a better social life than DH and I do.:)

I have good news too, since her busy weekend she has taken a nap EVERY day!!! Yippee!!! A nice 2-hour one too and it hasn't affected her sleep at night. Both the girls have been napping about the same time, so I have had ME time!!! I watched a soap opera for the first time in months, I've taken a shower that lasts more than 2 minutes and I got 3 loads of laundry done without interruption!!! I'm so happy that I'm taking Jordan out to see The Tigger Movie as a reward tonight. We are doing so well that next week I'm going to try to start serious potty training, I bought little girl underwear and a sticker reward chart. I'll let you know how it goes.

Well, that is it until next week. Hope you all are having as good of a week as me!!! Oh, I'm going to be writing a baby diary about Jazmine at Babies Today. It should be posted when this entry is for anyone interested in reading about her!!!
