February 2, 2000
Hello All,Our week has been pretty good except for the fact that first DH got sick with a sinus infection (men are just babies when they are sick) and now Jordan has a runny nose and a fever that won't go away. She got the fever Sunday night and she still has it now on Wednesday. At first it was high, 103.3 degrees, and she was acting sick all day Monday. Since yesterday her fever is always around 100 degrees, but she is her normal hyper self. In fact she is jumping around the living room watching a Sesame Street sing-a-long tape.
Speaking of video tapes, Jordan has two Barney tapes that have a preview for a new line of videos for kids by these people from Australia calling themselves The Wiggles. She loves the 2-minute clip of them but I have looked everywhere, including the Internet, trying to find these videos. If anyone knows where to get, them please let me know. Jordan will really thank you.
Jordan is talking so much. She is such a little ham, too. She loves to make people laugh. DH and I had this conversion the other night, and now he is mad at me. I told him that I feel closer to Jordan than I do to Jazmine.
I think it is because I am the oldest child like she is and I always felt that my younger sibling got more attention. Plus, Jordan is fun to be with. We play together, she has conversions with me, she loves me to read to her. I love the baby, too, but I can't wait until she is Jordan's age. I like cuddling with the baby, but Jordan is just more fun. Some how my husband took that to mean that I don't love the baby as much as I do Jordan and now he spends extra time with Jazmine. I never ignore the baby, and when she is awake she plays with Jordan and me. I don't know, it is hard to explain to him. I definitely love both the girls the same, but I can't help if I favor Jordan, I don't let it show. DH didn't know until we had the conversion. Does anybody else out there have any similar stories? I'd like to know that I'm not the only one.
Well until next week's entry.
Bye,
Megan and Jordan
P.S. I just wanted to share this cute thing Jordan said the other day. She was trying to convince my grandmother that she needed to have a bottle, and my grandma said to Jordan "Sorry, Charlie, but you're not going to convince me." Well, Jordan looked at her and rolled her eyes and said in a very snobby voice, "I NOT Charlie, I Jordie." It was very funny!!!!
