Megan's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |
January 26, 2000
Hi Everyone:Well,I spoke too soon a couple of entries back about not getting the nasty flu that is going around. I am just getting over it. From Friday night on I have been soooo sick!!!! Luckily I got sick when I was suppose to be working so I had child care all arranged because there was no way I could take care of the girls. Also, it kept them away from being infected with the sickness. I never realized how much I would miss them. I mean, I still saw them briefly, but I wouldn't hug or kiss them for fear of them getting sick too. By Monday night I was so lonely for them. Thank goodness I felt better on Tuesday -- I spent most of the day playing with them. I don't know what I'm going to do in May. DH and I are planning a trip to Florida for the anniversary/honeymoon trip we never took. Needless to say, the kids are not going with us. I don't know if I'm going to be able to handle it. I don't want to ruin the trip moping over missing them.
Well, I mentioned in last week's entry that DH was trying to get a new job and we just found out this morning that he got it!!! It will be so nice to have him home more often. The pay will be the same for the two-month training period but after that it will go up a good deal. Maybe by this time next year I will be able to stay home and not work. I like my work, but it is just hard to get child care and to try to balance home and work. I find myself wrapped up in work stuff when I should be doing home things. Well, we'll see what the future brings.
We finally have gotten snow here and Jordan really enjoyed playing in it. Last year she hated being outside in the snow but this year she likes it -- except for the dressing up part. She wants to be naked most of the time and having to put layers of clothing on sends her over the edge. I do have to say that I know I want her to start toilet training, but I am glad she is still in diapers for this winter. It takes forever to get her all bundled and ready to go out that having to undo everything for a potty run would be too much. Okay, maybe I'm just desperately trying to find some thing good about Jordan not wanting to potty train!!:)
Well, until next week!!!
