Hi everyone!Well, Monday was Justin's birthday! He is now 3 years old, although he doesn't really seem that old. When he woke up that morning, I sang him happy birthday. He just sat there looking at me like I was crazy. People kept asking if he was excited for his party and I kept saying, "Are you kidding? He doesn't even realize it's his birthday." It's weird because two of my friends have kids that just turned 3, and I remember how excited they were about it. So I worked with Justin all day, telling him he was 3 years old and helping him show "how many fingers" he is on his hand.
When the party started, he opened his presents and loved everything he received. He even exclaimed, "Awesome!" for some of the really big gifts. Everybody thought that was adorable. ;-) We asked people to give him lots of arts and craft type presents. Boy, did they listen! We could start our own art school!
At the end of the party, everyone gave him kisses and wished him happy birthday--to which he replied, "Happy birthday!" right back. He must of thought it was everyone's birthday.
Our family specialist couldn't make it on Tuesday because she was sick. I am getting nervous about the upcoming school year. It is bad enough to have to let my 6 year old go to Kindergarten for the first time, but now we will also be sending our "baby" to a pre-school program for kids with special needs. It's only for a couple of hours in the morning, but I never thought I would be dropping them both off--I thought I could adjust to this school idea with the oldest first. ;-)
Well, that's all for this week. Until next time!
Marcie
