Laurie's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

Introduction

Well, I bought the potty. Thank you so much for everyone's advice on this. Like I stated in my diary - why do they give us so many to choose from? I remember the old wooden one I learned on....

Hannah right now thinks that it is a new chair to sit on while mommy goes potty. It is really cute. When I get done, she holds her hand out for a couple sheets of toilet tissue and then dabs her face and puts it in her potty....she is fully dressed at this time. She then claps her hands and shuts the lid - It is too funny. I am really not into pressuring her into it, just letting it sit in the bathroom until she gets the feel of it...it will come in due course.

Well, I have done something this week I thought I would never have the chance to do again - I went back to college. I went for 2 years (10 years ago!) then met my husband and married and never looked back..until I hit 30 last month! Wow - it did not bother me in the least that I turned 30 but it made me realize that there are certain things I have left unfinished that I want to start up again and college is one of them! I feel so old compared to these kids! We'll see. I am starting off slow with one class this semester to get me back into it and then more classes next semester and summer to catch up - I am going for my PR degree...took me 10 years to finally figure out what I wanted to do when "I grew up"! Ha!!

Well, not much else happening...Hannah is talking up a storm now. Seems like that happened in just one week! I opened the box of Wheat Thins the other night with some pimento cheese spread and Hannah just shouted across the room "Cracker!". She then dips the cracker (mostly her whole fist) into the cheese dip and I asked her "Do you like the cheese dip?" and she just looked at me with her head kind of cocked and said "Oh yea". What a goofball...never a dull moment!

Well, until next time.
