Laurie's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

July 8, 2002

Every day it seems like Hannah is just getting more independent. She wants to be such a big girl already and I want to keep her so dependent on me.....

We went on vacation to the Lake of the Ozarks with my family for a few days the last week of June. Hannah loves to swim! She swam from the deep end to the shallow end with her flotation device without anyone's hands holding on to her. Daddy was nearby of course! We have a pool at home and she really enjoys it. She screams when she has to get out. As many of you know, Hannah is 100% Hispanic. Well, my niece came up to me on the trip and said "Aunt Laurie, you have to wash Hannah's feet, they are all dirty!" I said "No Tristen, that's just the color of Hannah's feet", and she replied "God made her brown?" I thought this was so cute. From the eyes and the mouth of a 4 year old.....

I hope everyone's 4th of July holiday went well. We threw a 4th of July party and grilled and set off more fireworks than should be allowed. Hannah didn't mind the fireworks unless they made a "popping" noise and then she would get upset...

Hannah is walking everywhere. It's funny though because she always looks like she is drunk. She still hasn't really gotten her balance yet....Does anyone else' toddler do that?? She has only been walking for about 2 1/2 months.......

Hannah loves potato chips. She can now reach inside the pantry and grab a handful and run into the living room to eat them.....I wondered the other day why there were potato chip crumbs all over the floor...

Well, not much else to report. Hope everyone is doing well and will update later...
