Laurie's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

April 18, 2002

Sorry, it has taken me so long to do an update but I do not have much to report.

Hannah is slowly walking more and more everyday but she still acts like it is her least favorite thing to do. She finds that it is really fun trying to do a somersault. I cannot believe how much older she looks than other children her age, but it is definitely the hair. We are now able to put her hair in piggy tails -not the piggy tails that stick out - but real long piggy tails. Her hair is already half way down her back.

We opened our pool yesterday and Hannah was thrilled. When I took her outside to show her it was open, she just looked as if to say "For me?" It was cute.

She also is not a big fan of a sippy cup but loves a glass with a straw. The other day I made her chocolate milk and she drank over half of it and then gave me a kiss. It was just like she was saying "Thanks mom, that was the best!" It's so funny their reactions to new things. I just love to see things through her eyes. I have learned to appreciate everything around me, from the beautiful weather and being outside to chocolate milk.

We are preparing for a vacation back home to Iowa in 2 weeks and I am really looking forward to going back home and seeing all of our family again. I am excited to show off Hannah and all of the new things she has learned since the last time we were home.

Well, that is pretty much it this week. Will keep you posted on any new updates. Congratulations to Candace who is expecting again and to everyone who has just recently celebrated the birth of a new baby.
