Laurie's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

April 3, 2002

I hope everyone had a happy Easter this past weekend. I know Hannah did! The Easter bunny came about 5 times! Between Grandma's, us and friends - she really cleaned up! It just amazes me. I never had all that when I was growing up. Just a new Easter dress and a little candy - not a bunch of new clothes, stuffed bunnies and more candy than Daddy and I can eat! Ha!

On a different note I want to say Congratulations to some of our very best friends who have been waiting to adopt for a long time (23 months). I call them the Cleavers - they have the perfect "average" life - nice home, nice furniture, perfect yard, great dog - They finally got their "call" on Monday! So a big CONGRATULATIONS to them!

Tim and I are looking to adopt another baby and I am busy "revising" our profile now. I really want Hannah to have a brother or sister and I know the wait can be long so I want to start the process now......

Hannah is doing well. Still not walking on her own but as many of you have let me know, this will come. I took her to the church nursery for the first time last Sunday and she loved playing with the other kids. I was so nervous that "my number" would come up on the board and they would tell me she was pushing other kids down etc. She stays with a girl from church who only watches Hannah, and we don't know of many couples with kids her age so I really wondered, but she did well. I was so proud!

Other than that, nothing new this week. I love just hearing from everyone on the board!
