Laurie's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

March 25, 2002

Well, as my tagline suggests, my daughter is still not walking without holding on to something! Everyone tells me to enjoy this time, but to me it doesn't matter, she is just as quick when she is crawling. She loves to walk around things and is very steady when she stands but is just too scared to take those steps alone! It is funny. Tim had her in the aisle at Target and told her to come here and just kind of walked away from her and I could hear her screaming "Augh" 3 aisles down. I was laughing. I walked down there and there was Tim 5-6 steps away from her and she was still in the same spot with her little hand out wanting Daddy's hand! What a little poop!

I have talked with so many other mothers and their babies started walking at 10 months, 12 months etc. At least by now! She is definitely going to be my child that wants to do everything in her time!

Also, Daddy saw for the first time this past week her "tantrum". If you tell Hannah "no", she will throw herself to the ground and cry. I swear that somedays she is already "2". Where do children learn this? I don't do this. Her daddy doesn't do this and she is not in daycare and we have no other children. It really fasinates me everything she picks up at such a young age. They really are so impressionable.

Well, that is it for this week. Thank you for the warm welcomes and if anyone else's toddler is not walking "alone" yet, I would love to hear from you.
