Sam seems to have gotten through his period of high anxiety. For a week he was super clingy, regressed in his eating patterns, and had difficulty separating at night. Now he seems more himself and has even tried some new foods: meatballs and watermelon. He is very interested in whatever Mike is eating. He likes to be like his Daddy.
Today we went to the pool and for the first time Sam seemed to really enjoy it. In the past he would decide he was 'done' after 15 minutes. His head went under the water twice today and it didn't upset him at all.
Speaking of 'done', Sam's favorite words these days are 'done', 'all done', and 'again' (which he pronounces more like 'and'). If he's tired of being in the car he says, "mommy, mommy . . . .done". And he says "all done" when he's done eating. He says 'again' when he's done nursing from one breast and wants the other, when he wants to hear a story or song again, and when he wants to go down the slide again (he calls the slide 'wheeeee').
That's it for this week!
