Sam is going through a real "daddy phase." He runs to the door when Mike comes home and whines for the phone so he can talk to "Da." It's good that they are so close because on Friday when I went to a professional convention, Sam and Mike spent the day together. I was worried, because I'd never left Sam for more than three hours at a time, but there was nothing to worry about. Mike took Sam to the playground in the morning and they played in the back yard in the afternoon. It was strange for me to be away from Sam for so long. Since we're always together when I go somewhere without him it's like I'm missing something. Sometimes I want to go up to people and just tell them that I have a 1-year-old son at home.

Apart from that, Sam is congested AGAIN. I'm beginning to wonder if he has allergies. He wakes up coughing and the only thing that consoles him is nursing. It's so hard to see him in discomfort and not being able to fix it.
