Hi everyone! I just got done reading my entry from last week. I really sounded pathetic. I think it was mainly just a hormonal thing because now I feel fine, but I kinda expected to get feedback and reassurance from other moms in my Talk To Me box. Sniff, sniff. We've had an interesting few days around my house ... or should I say, Max's house. He is cutting his first year molars and has become a bear! He'll be cranky one minute and sweet the next.
On Monday he wouldn't take a nap in the late afternoon so I just fed him dinner and thought he would go down early that night. At 8:00 p.m. he finally seemed tired so I put him down. TWO HOURS later he was still crying and screaming! Every 15 minutes or so I would go in there and comfort him and try to get him to sleep, but he wasn't going for it! At 10:00 p.m. I finally pulled him out of bed and let him play. It was a battle of wills and he won. At 10:30 p.m. when Ross got home I was so irritated that I just handed Max over and went to bed. The week has gotten better, though.
Last weekend we had three Christmas parties to go to. I think all the "partying" interfered with Max's sleeping schedule. On Friday night he was awake until 12:30 a.m.! Shame on me for letting him stay awake that long.
This weekend we have my family Christmas with my extended family. I'm really looking forward to seeing my family again and showing them how well Max is walking now. He walks better and better every day!
Hope all is well out there!
Kim
