July 18, 2000
I only have one more hour of work and then I'm off for four days! Yeah! We're going up north to an island in Michigan where my aunt has a cottage. My whole family is going up there so we'll have a great time. I know Ross isn't looking forward to the five hour drive with a toddler, but it will be fine, I think. Max doesn't love car rides, but hopefully he'll sleep through at least two hours of the ride.
Everything else is going pretty well. As soon as my dad finishes Max's new bed I'm going to post a picture of his room. We repainted all the walls then had an artist come over and paint lanterns, fishing lures, fishing creels, etc. to make the room look outdoorsy -- sorta like a cottage. My dad is making a bed out of raw pine logs. It looks really rustic. Hopefully I'll be able to post them by next week's entry.
