Kim's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

March 1, 2000

At the end of this month Ross will be on first shift and home at night with Max and me! I can hardly believe it is going to happen!

We've also been making some other big decisions. We've decided to try selling our home to buy a new one. We're going to sell it ourselves without a realtor. I've done a lot of reading about what it takes and I really feel like we can do this! If we don't do it ourselves, we would end up paying about $8500 in realtor fees, which would eat up a big chunk of our equity.

The biggest news right now is that my best friend who has been trying to get pregnant for almost two years is now pregnant. She had all the fertility tests, SA tests, etc. and finally the doctor said they had no idea why she wasn't getting pregnant. My friend and her husband decided that they weren't going to go through IVF and would just start looking into adoption. That next month -- WHAM! Knocked up -- just like that! I couldn't be happier for them and I'm really looking forward to possibly going through some of pregnancy together.

Max and I went to Chicago last weekend to visit my family, since my cousin was home from Boston with her new baby Christopher. I had forgotten snuggly warmth of a new baby. I held him every chance I got and intoxicated myself with his sweet baby smell. When I asked Max to give him a kiss, he gently leaned down and placed his lips on Christopher's head. It was so sweet and gave me more confidence that Max might be ready for a brother or sister if we get pregnant in a few months.

Have a great week! Wish me luck on the house selling.

Kim
