"SICK DAYS" Mabuhay. * Practically every day now is song and rhymes day and Orion is getting better at the tunes, the lyrics and the musical instrument background. He usually uses a "guitar, piano or violin" and shakes his butt to the music. He even collects props before singing as in, if it's "Happy Birthday," he'll keep asking for a candle if he can't find one. However, it is a must that you sing with him and say, you've got to do it with feelings or else, he won't let up.Both father and son got their haircuts last week and Orion's tail ala OB-1 (Star Wars) is a lot longer now. He also seemed to have grown more with his cheeks more pronounced. As I have mentioned in the previous week, we went to the Safari Zoo where you get to "kiss" the animals (in between your car windows, of course). Orion just loved it! He particularly liked the giraffes and the tigers. The set-up of that Safari is like entering the gates of Jurassic Park and the animals are at large. Aaron said that the size of the lions, tigers, wildebeest are what he saw them to be at the real African Safari during his Mount Kilimanjaro climb. (The zoo animals are usually a bit emaciated since there is drastic change in their habitat.) But in this Indonesian safari, they seem to approximate the wilderness habitat. It was really a fun trip and we were watching the animal shows when heavy clouds called our attention. Just as we headed back to the car, pelting rain drenched us. We had no choice but to give up the rest of the day and head back to the city.
And then the "sick days" started. I thought it was just my respiratory problem worsening (I have had a cough for the longest time) but then I was having serious bouts of nausea, no appetite, aversion to smells, tiredness, irritability and all the signs that I don't want to have at the moment. We are traveling to Canada in June and I have always told Aaron that I don't want to travel "pregnant." It was such a horrible experience on the 25 hour flight cramped in the economy section last time (I was pregnant with Orion then.) But oh no, the signs are all there. Simple chores have now become a bit stressful at the momentŠ.
Well, Aaron said that if it happens, then it happens, so okay, got to go now straight to the bathroom "for the worst is about to come...."
