Kellie's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

December 26, 2002

Merry Christmas to all our readers and everyone enjoying this diary and site. The Coulson family had a great but busy busy Christmas this year. I was off all of last week and got caught up on our baking for Christmas. My Mom and her Husband came for a quick 3 day visit which was great fun. Brennen loves his nana and Choo choo (our name for my mom’s dh) and enjoyed showing them all of his “tricks” which include drawing on our windows, blowing raspberries, blowing his nose, pushing McKinley, singing and clapping to Christmas music to name a few things he was eager to share and show with his grandparents.

Christmas is truly a time for family both ours and my husbands we hosted a wonderful Christmas dinner on the 25th for 11 which included my dad and his wife (papa and Layla as they have been christened)… We had turkey, ham, stuffing, yams, potatoes, two kinds of cranberries, corn, carrots and parsnips and more~! I looked around the table and saw how truly lucky I was to have both families together, to have such fantastic in-laws who dote on my little ones. Speaking of which Santa was very very generous this year, Brennen got at least 4 trucks, outfits, pladough, crayons, candy, chocolate, leap frog drum a talking piano and soooo much more. Brennen didn’t quite get opening gifts but after watching McKinley TEAR through hers he seemed to catch on quite quick and loved to go at each gift. I looked at my little two darlings and my equally sweet husband and felt such an overwhelming feeling of love and gratitude. Which of course lasted until Brennen hit McKinley with his truck and decided to colour AGAIN on our California Blinds… yikes he’s a busy bee. The B seemed to love having the house full of people and his anxiety of anyone but mommy seems to have disappeared thank goodness, John and I left him for the morning with his papa and layla and he didn’t cry once since we took McKinley (his personal soothing machine) I thought for sure their would be tears and tantrums NOPE just smiles, giggles and the cutest kisses so I’m told…

This will have to be short as I’ve quickly escaped downstairs to type this entry and I’ll need to relieve my tired hubby very soon.

Merry Christmas everyone and here is hoping your holidays were as happy as ours.
CHEERS!~
