December 6, 2002
My tag line is Brennen's favorite song (10 little monkeys) we sing it with him and have it on tape (sharon, lois and bram) for the car and he just loves the song. Brennen acts out the crocodile with his little hands sings along then yells something sounding like "SNAP" very loudly then laughs and laughs..
Brennen sure is cute these days when I'm putting him to sleep (still nursing and in our bed...I know I'm nuts..) he'll sit up all of a sudden and with his lips to his mouth he'll say shhhhhh shhhhhhh... and now when he's acting up at bedtime (lately its taken me up to 45 minutes to get him to sleep with his antics) I'll say "B, daddy is going to take you out of this room and McKinley and I are going to sleep" he'll crawl over and lay down and start nursing.. after a few minutes he'll pop up and roll around, jump or start in on his favorite song.. and I'll again warn him and ...vicious cycle at night... its startling at how different my childrens sleep patterns are, McKinley is a great sleeper (horrible in the mornings though) and Brennen well even when he is asleep well he's still moving, rolling, yelling, humming or twitching...
Anyone else obsessed with their children's sleep pattern? I'd pay BIG bucks to get a night sleep (8 hours) uninterrupted and glorious...
On December 13th Brennen will be 18 months old.. I can't believe my baby is getting so big, although he never was a baby in the normal sense or compared to McKinley I still miss his little baby outfits and stuff. Brennen is in a size 2 clothing and is moving through the house like a terror,
We've FINALLY finished our renovations (painted the whole house, new bathrom sink and mirror etc.) and it looks great! We decided to get it done now before christmas.. Work is terrible, layoffs happened all this week and it was tough we lost a lot of great people. I worry about or situation daily now, its great having John home and with his parental leave from the government he has 5 years he can take. Of course the pressure is then on me to keep my job, which is getting harder and harder and lets be honest its not easy finding a 6 figure income these days. I know I'm lucky to be employed and making such a healthy salary but I LOVED my job and enjoyed the company I worked for, and now with all the layoffs and incredible pressure its a tough place to work. I pride myself on my professionalism but lately I've been working with a few folks who have made my life at work tough, nothing I can't handle but still extra worry I don't currently need. Its funny I never thought being the sole breadwinner could be soooo stressful but it really is.
Well, today we have errands to run then we are buying our christmas tree, garland and Wreaths for the house.. looking soo forward to it today.. Nothing like some Christmas spirit to lift my spirits and remember how grateful I am for a loving and healthy family..
Cheers!
Kellie and Brennen!
