Well we are back!

Sorry I haven't written in such a long time, but my computer at work was migrated to a new system and I lost all of my login info and had to wait to hear from iparenting for new ones...

So whats Brennen been doing?

Brennen has started swimming class with John on Wednesday mornings and John tells me he LOVES the water (I knew that as I take him on weekends and he loves to splash around) John says he is the loudes boy in the class screaming at the top of his lungs and splashing all the kids.. I'm really proud of John as he is not much of a "joiner" when it comes to new things like playgroups etc. but he seems to enjoy their morning alone.

McKinley started JK and goes every morning which I was interested to see how B would react. He was really clingy for the first month never letting John leave his side but now he looks forward to taking her to school (and me to work) singing in the car at the top of his lungs lol, and meeting her school bus, waving madly at the bus and grunting and yelling when he sees his big sister exit off the bus.

We have been enjoying the fall weather (very unseasonal for Ottawa, its been warm for weeks) and have went walking to the Gatineau hills in Quebec and down by the Arberitum where the kids love to run and roll down the hills.. Its so funny to watch Brennen try and keep up with McKinley and loves to hold her hand and point out "stuff" he sees and will be adamant about carrying sticks and rocks he finds on our walks.

Brennen still continues to amaze me with his intensity and his quirky nature. He is very "into" telling on McKinley, when she does something he doesn't like (usually a discussion about sharing has to be had) he runs and gets John and I, babbling all along and brings us to where she is, points and gestures and babbles very seriously.. is sooo funny to see.

We now have an addition to our family "Twister" the kitten, he is 3 months old, all black and a real hit with the kids. I had thought after the first few days of him hiding that we had got a cat that didn't like kids or people but thats not the case, this cat fits its name quite well!!!. I love how he and the kids tear through the house and he chases them and plays with them quite well. He does scratch and there have been a few tears with both kids but as they and he grows that should be less and less.

Brennen is very jealous though, if the cat is on my knee or cuddling me, he comes over and pushes him away or off the bed/chair and takes his place then says AHHHHHH in this high pitched voice and hugs me... very strange little man!

Well, this weekend is Thanksgiving so we are looking forward to the family dinner (15) of us or so to enjoy and share a great Turkey diner this Sunday. I am off to take McKinley swimming so I'll cut this short and start back to updating my diary every week.

Cheers! and a happy Canadian Thanksgiving...
