Kellie's Diary Entries

Hi folks,

Wow, where do I begin? Currently our family is renovating our tiny but loveable bungalow. What started out as a quick tile job has turned out to include knocking down two walls (kitchen and living room) new colonial trim and baseboards, addition of an oak railing (where there used to be a wall) new front and back door, new slate floors in our foyer and kitchen and a newly tiled front porch WHEW..! what a mess! and throughout the renovations Brennen has been an important part of the recovery job.

"B" has been able to recover all the garbage, shavings, drywall dust etc. and either eat it or keep it in his diaper for later.. yup, thats right, "B" seems to love using his good old diaper as a pocket, changing his bum is always interesting as you'll never know what will fall out.. hmm will it be a miniature shovel, toy, piece of carrot, apple or grape, a comb or barett of his sisters? the list goes on and on..

John has struggled trying to keep the renovation guys on track and the kids busy enough (parks, museums and home depot seems to be the most popular places for trips..)
Although McKinley is old enough to understand the importance and danger of the workmen's tools, Brennen seemed to think everything (tools and all) were open season. We pretty much had to gate off our whole house except for McKinley's room.. My poor baby now cries as soon as he sees the baby gate.

Brennen is off the bottle though, which is great news (still working on the boob though and thats a whole different entry lol) I use the AVENT bottles and just purchased the sippy cup tops and screwed them on our bottles and voila my little guy took to them without a problem.

We are looking forward to our first family camping trip and BonEcho park in Ontario, Canada.. the kids (okay McKinley) are thrilled and I hope they enjoy themselves as much as I did on the various family vacations my family was lucky enough to take..

Well, I'd better run as I am typing this at work and I have a to do list as long as my arm here and at home.. when will it slow down is my question..

Cheers!

Kellie and the "B" xoxo
