Merry Christmas Everyone! I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season! I love this time of year! Now, if we'd just get some snow!! We've been SO busy! We went "home" to Oklahoma over Thanksgiving for nearly two weeks! And of course, with my luck, Elizabeth was sick most of that time! She had a four-day bout of diarrhea and then had a terrible cold ... and she's still hanging onto the cold! She was cranky and whiny and only wanted me. I was so looking forward to showing her adorable, sweet personality off to the family. Needless to say, I didn't get the chance! Oh well. Such is life.

Elizabeth is really trying to say her ABCs and 123s. She'll walk around the house jabbering, "A, b, c. One, two, fee." She will sit down with a book and act like she's reading, "A, b, one, two, a, b, a, b, c, e" (etc., etc.!). She's just way too cute. She also loves to get into just about everything that she knows is off limits. Today, I found one of her socks in the trash along with one of her hiking boots. I guess I have to rummage through the trash before I take it out to make sure she hasn't thrown something away.

Elizabeth continues to eat like a horse! I'm having a time getting her to drink milk, though. She loved her bottles, but she's been off the bottle for about 3 weeks now. I made the mistake of always heating up her milk in the bottle, so now she won't take cold milk at all unless it's on her cereal. I'm giving her cheese and yogurt in place of the milk. I keep offering her milk in her sippy cups and I have even put a little Nestle's Quick in once. She refuses to drink it. ANY SUGGESTIONS????????

I've been trying to get some baking done. It's not easy when Elizabeth is awake! I'm almost done with Christmas shopping! Yippy! I have a couple more people and Elizabeth to buy for, but that's it. We still haven't made up our mind on what to get Elizabeth. I'm leaning towards a tent. I think she'd have a blast with one.

We are driving back to Oklahoma for two weeks over Christmas. Elizabeth did really well on the drive during the Thanksgiving holiday, so I'm hoping for the same this time. We just got some terrible news this past week: my grandfather was diagnosed with cancer. I'm having a very hard time dealing with that. He's like a father to me and I'm very close to him. I'm really looking forward to spending time with my grandparents!!

I hope you all have a very happy and healthy Christmas! Take care and God Bless!
