Kelli's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

November 9, 1999

Elizabeth continues to grow and grow. She is so cute ... I can't say that enough! She's talking so much now! It's so cute the way she puts words together.

This past weekend she had a bad case of diarrhea. I think it was caused by a combination of getting her molars in and a slight stomach virus. She was pretty fussy today. I hope she feels better soon.

I am working on getting her off the bottle. We are down to one bottle at night. I plan on her being totally weaned by the end of the week. We'll see. Elizabeth knows her ABCs up to "e." Her favorite letter is "b." Her favorite things right now are stars, empty food boxes and of course all her books. It's just so amazing how much she knows!!

My husband Rob has missed work the past couple days to take care of me. I feel so bad for him.Š He's had to change the "diarrhea queen" this weekend and wait on me hand and foot. I busted my knee up pretty good last week. Actually, my knee cap is screwed up and kept popping in and out of place. I had a orthopedic appointment today. The doctor told me I had torn a few things in my knee and that my knee cap is really slanted. He told me that I'm supposed to stay off my leg for 1 1/2 weeks. Yeah, right ... I had to remind him that I am the mother of an almost-16-month-old, active little girl. I also have to go for physical therapy twice a week and wear a full leg metal brace. Yep, we're having a lot of fun here in this household!! :) These are the times when I really wish we lived closer to family rather than at least 12 hours away!

Please forgive me for my absence from my diary! On top of my bum knee and Elizabeth being sick, our hard drive crashed on our home computer and it's taking awhile to get things back to normal. I hope one day (sometime very soon) I will be back on here as a "regular." I hope everyone is doing great! God Bless you all! Take care!
