The last few weeks have been relatively uneventful. The highlight, however, was the trip last Saturday to Missoula for the University of Montana Homecomming Parade. I had to go up early because we were videotaping it to play on tv and I had volunteered to help. James brought Clara up and stayed with her during the parade. He said he just held her so she could see and her favorite part was when the bands played. After the parade was over, I was able to join then and we went to the Children's Museum for awhile. It was our first time there and I really didn't know how Clara would do because it was getting close to nap time. Once again, she proved to be another Energizer Bunny! I think she was just having too much fun to think about being tired. One of her favorites there was the play kitchen. We finally left when more kids came for a birthday party. We were there about 2 hours! Sure enough, Clara fell asleep almost immediately in the car!
We've been busy around the house getting ready for winter. The days are starting to get cool finally. We are working on building a "House for the Horses" (as Clara calls it). We are putting up a 12' X 24' shed. Clara tries to help us! She likes climbing up on the step ladder and picking up rocks.
Well, Clara just told me she had to go potty! and she actually did pee in her potty! The babysitter said she's been doing good for her, but we haven't been pushing it too much just yet. We'll try harder in a few months, but for now if she wants to that's great, but if not, that's ok.
Clara has been going to daycare since she was about 6 months old. One thing I'm finding out that she doesn't know is how to play by herself. Right now she is climbing all over me "READ BOOKS! READ BOOKS!" I guess I better go, read some books, and get her to bed.

Her birthday is in 8 days so the next entry will be about that. Once again we aren't planning anything big, just her, James, and me. Then the extra cupcakes go with her to the babysitter's the next day. I'm sure all the kids there will sing to her.
