Kathy's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

March 11, 2004

Well, let's see... I guess a lot has happened since my last entry. Of course, as always, we've been very busy, but what else is new???? We did get moved into the new house. Our first night there was Sat, Feb 28th. Clara's been adjusting very well. In fact, much better than I thought. We still go back to the old house often because we don't have everything completely moved out. Clara knows that is our "old" house and where we are now is the "new" house. We've been leaving the light on at night in the kitchen which is next to her room. She asks us not to close her door when she goes to bed at night. On the weekends when she wakes up she tells us she's awake and waits for us to respond before she gets out of bed. We've never had a problem with her getting up and getting into things. She always comes right to us when she gets up.

Last Saturday (March 6) we got the horses moved to our new house too. So now, we don't have to go to the old house everyday. Makes my life a lot easier!

Clara also started going to a new daycare this past week. (One week after we moved into the new house). The last place she went was in a lady's home, while this one is much more of a center. They have one room for infants and toddlers and another room for preschool. This place seems to be much more structured than the last babysitter. Clara is one of the oldest in the infant/toddler room and she loves helping with the babies. I think both of the teachers really like having her there. She is a good kid (and I'm not just saying that because I'm her mom!). She will get to do some activites with the preschoolers and it won't be long before she's in that room more and more. I've been very happy that she's been taking a nap there and also going to the potty! It always amazes me how well she seems to adjust to all the changes.

James has been working a lot on his new job. He likes it, but is very tired when he's done at the end of the day. Tuesday was the first time he had to ride his horse to move some cattle. I was very nervous about it, but James did fine. I'll have to learn!!! I love country life, but it does take some getting used too.

I guess that's about it for now. This weekend we will be trying to move some more. Yipee! HA!
