UGH....NO BABY YET!!
I am now 39 weeks/5 days and this little girl WILL NOT cooperate!!
I went in for my 39 week check up last week and I was still a fingertip dilated and still very thick. The midwife couldn't feel Lucy's head so we had an ultrasound and there she was, lying in there transverse!! I called Jim and asked him what he thought we should do: 1)Nothing 2) An external version or 3) Schedule a c-section for the next day....We decided to go with the external version and if they couldn't get her to turn then they would be doing a c-section the same day they tried. Had to go in for another ultrasound about an hour later to check her weight and the fluid levels. If she was too big and not enough fluid, then they wouldn't be able to do it. Get in there and guess what??? In a matter of an hour she was back to HEAD DOWN!! Oh, I could have just jumped off that table and ran out screaming!! I couldn't believe it!! We've waited another week and we will see how things look on Wednesday. Last week her estimated weight was almost 8 pounds and she had gained almost a full pound in a week. If she does that again then I'm looking at another 9 pound baby. UGH!!
So, that is the scoop on Lucy.
Ian is being a bit of a fussy bucket these days. My parents are here and he is trying to play us all. LOL He drags my mom all over the place and tries to get her to give in. His newest "phrase" is....Oh S&!*!! We don't know where he got that! And he says it at the funniest times. He will trip over his toys and say it. Or bump his head. And it's just so casual. When he says it we try and get him to say OH NO or AMEN. But it is not working. What a crazy kid.
Well, it's still early here, sun isn't even out...going to jump back into bed and have a little chat with this girl. Will update as soon as I can!!
