Introduction

Hi all! Well, I got Cat enrolled in her first pageant! I have heard so many negative things about them ever since Jon Benet. But, getting involved -- and getting to know other moms in my area -- is really great! The only problem is all of the money you have to raise!

Cat still hasn't taken her first steps, but that is all right. She has TOTALLY cut out her evening nap, which is good because she goes to bed earlier, however, I have several hours of grumpy baby to contend with because she is tired! So it is a catch-22 in a way.

DH and I are getting along well, but I am going through an end-of-the-semester slump. There are less than two months left, but I have to force myself to go all of a sudden! I just feel like I need a break, but don't we all!

A friend of ours from New Orleans (my hometown), is coming to stay with us for a while. He has hit a rough patch, and he and his three-year-old daughter need a place to stay. I am kinda excited, because I will get a real-life trial of being a mother of two. This is a very smart and wonderful three year old we are talking about, but she still has a toddler temper! It will be interesting to see how things turn out, and it will have a big influence on how far apart I space my children.

My birthday is one week from today -- I will be 22! My goodness, where has all the time gone!

So if any of you have any suggestions on how to keep a 3 year old and a 10 month old entertained at the same time, let me know! PLEASE!
