Kahne's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

October 29, 1999

Hello everyone and happy Halloween! I can't believe Cat is about to be a year old already! She is really growing too fast for me.

Anyway, I brought her to the pumpkin patch this week, and took pictures of her among hundreds of pumpkins! It was really sweet. The pumpkin patch also has a petting zoo, and she had a great time petting the bunnies, goats, pigs and donkeys.

She is standing more and more all by herself. I am not pushing her to walk; it seems the only part I have left of my "baby" is the crawling. She has started to crawl differently, like a crab, with one knee and one foot. It is really quite funny!

I am trying to decide on what kind of entertainment to have for her birthday party. It is hard, because outdoor activities are limited. The theme is going to be Elmo and Cookie -- boy she loves her Elmo! She dances to the theme music of "ELMO'S WORLD." That girl has the rhythm, I tell you!

I am excited about her first trick-or-treating trip. We are planning on going with a friend of mine and her three year old daughter. The pro teaching the rookie, you could say! Our town has moved trick or treating to Saturday, so as not to interfere with school. I think that takes the fun out of Halloween. Come on, what next, move Thanksgiving? NAH!

My little Miss Priss has decided she doesn't like naps, boo hoo! I enjoyed my afternoon naps! She has become so cranky lately, and dead set against her schedule. I guess I am getting a taste of the toddler independence! I have to run, life is calling. Update you next week, have a fun, safe and GREAT weekend!
