Jonnah's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

August 5, 2001

Our little man has been in Bend for the last week at his Grandma Kate's. She is taking him to swimming lessons since we don't have a pool around here for him.

Nicholas has taken one week of swimming lessons and is off for his second week tomorow. He is a great swimmer and is loving the water. I went to watch him thursday and he was quit the little show off. He would jump around in the water and with a life jacket on he was just happy as a clam to swim around all by himself. They also play a game with little animals. They throw the toy and then the mom (or grandma in our case) helps them swim to the toy. Nicholas loves jumping into the pool. He is not afraid of the water at all.

Nicholas has been his own little man lately. Lastnight I asked him if I could have a love and he looked at me, held his hand up as if to say wait and then told me "just wait a minute". It was so cute, I nearly rolled out of my seat.

Grandma Kate says that he goes potty on the big boy potty at her house, but he wont do it at mine. I take him to the bathroom and he sits there for a few mintues, says he is done and then I get him off and we go into the other room and he pees his pants. I think I will buy a big thing of gummy worms and use them for potty prizes. If he pees he can have one and if he poops he can have two. This worked for the other boys, so hopefully it will work for Nicholas.

Take care! Jonnah and boys!!!
