Jonnah's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

June 26, 2001

I know it has been awhile since I last wrote an entry and to Nicholas I apologize. It is just that I have had a few troubles with messages left on my board and people telling me I am wrong in the way I raise my children!
We teach our children about guns! We teach them the difference between a play gun and a real gun and we teach them the proper way to use and handle real guns!
We let our children shoot real guns. They are always supervised and they know that guns are very dangerous and that they need to be handled carefully. I would rather teach my kids about guns then to have them not know and go to a friends house where guns are not kept put up and be curious enough to try it out. Atleast the way we teach them they know not to touch a gun that is laying around.
In my eyes it is like telling your child not to stick their finger in the light socket. Or not to run out in the road. Teaching gun safety is just as important!
Nicholas has been doing great. He is happy and healthy. I am taking him in to get some blood work done to run tests becasue he is so little. We are concerned about his growth patern or lack there of, so we are going to get him tested!
Nicholas is talking really well and even strangers can understand him now! He loves to be independant and dress himself and has taken a intrest to the potty but has yet to figure out that you have to use it all the time not just when you want to! lol
Well, that about sums it up for now. I will be sure to keep you all posted on the tests and everything else!
take care, Jonnah and boys!!
