Jessie's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

Introduction

yeesh, it has been awhile for me. I was half expecting not to be able to log in. But I am glad I could!

Well, Christmas is right around the corner. Our shopping is all done, the stockings are up, the tree is up & decorated (as is the house). I have Christmas candles burning in the evenings. During the day, it put on my apple peels and let them simmer for the nice smell. I guess you could say I am just in the Christmas spirit this year.

We took Autumn to see Santa last weekend. I must say, Santa, was a NO GO for her. SHe would walk up to him, say hello...go "sanna says HOHOHO"...then wave...all of the sudden here comes the tears! We went through it 2 times. It wasn't like we MADE her go up to him, SHE was the one who would say "I wanna see Sanna", So we would take her up there. Oh well, maybe NEXT year.

The little sneak found her presents the other day. (they weren't wrapped yet). She brought one to me and said "Autumn have?" When I told her NO, she went and put it back and then asked me WHY. I explained that we have to wait until Santa says we can have them. Needless to say, after she went to bed that night, I wrapped ALL presents I had, and put them underneath the tree. I put her's in the wooden gift train and told her she can't open them until Santa puts them on the floor. She will walk over to them and look, but that is it.

I hate to admit, but we did go a little far with the gifts this year for her. She is our only child, and we just figured, while we can do..then hey why not. This kid is gonna make out like a bandit this year though. We alone bought her a TON of things, plus my grandparents and family sent a huge box from Indiana full of gifts for her, then we have her aunts, uncles, 2 sets of grandparents(on Joe's side), 2 sets of Great-Grandparents(Joe's side), friends, her God-Parents, and some of my customer's have asked if they could buy her something. This child will not want for nothing.

Although, she is easily pleased. You could get her a wooden spoon and pan, and she would be happy. She even likes playing with the empty wrapping paper roll.

So, as Christmas grows closer and as my child gets bigger..I hope that everyone has a Happy Holiday! AS for me, I am gonna snuggle up with my family, sip on a cup a hot apple cider, watch "Frosty The Snowman" and only WISH we had a little dust of snow!
