I never in my life thought I would be doing the things I do now that I am a mom of a toddler.
We have just started doing crafts. (we = mommy/Autumn). I started her doing finger painting. She LOVED it. Granted she was a mess, but we had fun. (we even used our feet!). The other day we made necklaces out of the colored macaroni noodles, went on a walk and collected pine cones/leaves/tree bark/pebbles and made a collage for her "Nana Neff". (DH's mom). Yesterday we made cookies-on-a-stick. We took the pre-rolled cookie dough cut 2 pieces, stuck them together and put a popscicle stick between them. Then baked them in the oven.
Autumn is only 16 months old, but she LOVES doing things with mommy. (and daddy). It is amazing how well she will listen when we are doing something interesting to her.
I enjoy having a little girl to do these things with. I can remember my grandmother doing these things with me when I was growing up. To do them with Autumn, brings back so many happy memories.
Well, I am off to do some cleaning while my little crafty angel is napping. If any of you have any neat craft ideas I can use, please post them for me. I am beginning to run out of things to do. (we have already done the sock puppets)
Take Care!
Jessie
