Jessie's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

May 1, 2002

Wow, so much has happend since I last posted. Let me begin with an apology. This year got off to a really bad start for me.

To bnegin with, I lost my grandmother (who was more of a mother to me than anything) in March. She had been sick since January so, we had been traveling back and forth to Indiana every few weeks. In feb. she was hospitalized and was on a ventilater. So, then Autumn and I spent 3 weeks out there. We came back to RI on the 3rd of March and she passed away on the 6th. They had done a trac.(tube directly in her throat) and her body just didn't take it very well. Since she has passed, I haven't been taking it to well, so I don't spend much time on the net. But, here I am updating this diary.. so I guess I must be getting my butt back in gear.

Okay, Now on to Autumn. MY how she has grown. She is now 2 years old. She said GOOD-BYE to the crib and is now sleeping in a toddler bed. The transition wasn't the easiest, but we knoew it had to happen. She is starting to potty train. Somedays are better than others and somedays.. FORGET IT!

She is smart as a whip! She repeats EVERYTHING she hears. She even will copy the dog sometimes. (HA! so funny to see and hear). She will sing the ABC's and count to 10(odd numbers are her favorite though), she can spell her name up to the letter "M". (she likes to go Aututut, poor kid gets confused). She can reconginze letters of the alphabet, as well as numbers. She doesn't talk all that much, but when she does it is clear.

Lets see, last time I checked she weighed in @ around 23 pounds and 34 1/2 inches tall. She has a appointment on the 17th to get checked.

She has a cat and a dog. Both who love to sleep in her room. She feeds them both too. She is an all around lovable kid.

Well, that does it for now.. take care and talk to you all soon!
