January 16, 2002
WOW, Christmas is over and we are 16 days into a new year. Yet here I am, just now posting a new entry.
Well, let me catch everyone up on how things are going. First of all we had a bout of "Night Terrors" with Autumn. Starting before Christmas and just ending last week. We found a solution. We bought her a CD player/radio and a sound machine/night light for her room. We had a CD that has meditation music on it. So we play that at night and use her night-light. So far, so good. She hasn't woke up in a fit since we started using it. THANK GOODNESS!!
She is also started doing some of the funniest things. For instance she will fake sneeze. (by going "ah ah CHOOOOOO"). She will keep doing it until we say "Bless You". Then she will fake cough. She will keep doing that until someone says "goodness you must be coming down with a cold, you poor little girl". She can be too funny.
We are in the process of remodeling our bathroom. My FIL and youngest BIL was over the other day doing some work on it while Joe was at work. AUtumn LOVED seeing her Uncle Matt and Gampy. She would not leave them alone. She tried her best to squeeze her way into the bathroom to help. Finally my FIL let her help him make his lines on the drywall. (of course she did it on the opposite side of his measurements, so she wouldn't mess him up). But boy did she have a blast helping. I guess she thinks that if Gampy does it, then she can do it.
I can't believe in less than 4 months she is going to be the big TWO. Where does time go? As much as I miss the baby years in her, this age has become wonderful. She will try to carry on a conversation with people, she will try to help with different things, and so much more. It is great to hear her words for things and hear her laugh. She has just been a great joy all together.
I LOVE being a mom!
