Jessica's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

December 9, 2003

Hi, I thought what the heck, I would make a new entry today. I just put the girls down for their naps. There's lots I should be doing, but oh well. We are all doing okay. Maddie is just getting over some strange virus. She had no appetite for 3 days. It's coming back and she's starting to eat again. That was a little stressful. I took her to the doctor's yesterday and I am waiting for lab results from a blood and urine test. SHe's currently into the bear in the big blue house like crazy. We have 3 tapes and she wants to watch them all day long.

Emma is just adorable. The two of them played so great today; it was fun to watch. We have lots of new toys from their birthday party. The party was a huge disappointment for me because we had to postpone it due to the snow. Barely anyone came on Sunday. That was a blow to me since I feel like I put so much effort into it. But, I'm getting over it. We are having a playgroup party for them tomorrow. I have lots of food left over so I just need to make cupcakes.

But back to Emma, she is really changing. SHe loves to be moving. She has started to let go and stand for a little bit by herself. Maybe she will walk someday. She's been eating and eating, yet she only weighs 17.1 lbs as of yesterday. I just adore her.

I'm still doing the atkins diet. That is going well. It's strange to have a house full of food that I can't eat. But I think I have lost about 5 lbs. That is great. It's pretty easy. I am looking forward to Friday when I can add a few carbs to my daily count. And then I am going out with my friend on Sunday and am having cheesecake. They have a low carb menu at Ruby Tuesday's. It's so nice. I can't wait.
I am done nursing. Triple yay! I did enjoy nursing her up until her birthday but then I am done. I love the freedom of possibly going away for the weekend. All I can say is I feel more free. I can have my body back and drink herbal tea if I feel like it or cold medicine if I have a cold. I hope I am not offending anyone. I've always been one of those people that think you should do what works best you.

Can't think of anything else to write. I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays. Thank you for reading and posting. It's really meant a lot to me.

PS) Maddie's lip has healed beautifully. Just a little scar that will fade. Yay!

Jess
