Jessica's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

July 19, 2004

Hello. I thought I would post an update on us. At the moment, (for Emma standards), she is doing well!!! Still not like a normal child, but definite improvement! She's into fruit like blueberries and watermelon. Now, this doesn't mean anything. I have been here before. But I will secretly hope that this is the beginning of something promising. Even if it means that my hopes will be dashed again.

We did go to CHOP last week. Emma was down a few ounces and weighed 20lbs even. Why can't we get past 20lbs. I feel like every baby out there weighs more than her. Oh well, I don't spend too much time comparing other babies, it doesn't mean anything. But, her doctor is sending her to a feeding clinic. There is a waiting list, so I'm not sure how long we have to wait. Maybe, maybe if I keep my fingers crossed really hard we won't have to go. Although, realistically, I think she could use a little help.

Thank you to those who wrote on my board. It meant a lot to me. I will write more about the rest of us when I get some more time.

Thanks for reading.

Jess
