Jerri's Diary Entries

A quick entry from me!

Walker: He is growing like a mad man. He is 3 foot tall and about 32 lbs and everyone swears I am confused about his age. He is wearing my cousin's hand-me-downs and her little boy just out-grew the clothes this year...he is 3!

Our heater was broken and the man who came to fix it was giving me funny looks while I was changing Walker's diaper. He finally asked how old he was. I said why, how old do you think he is? He said, "well I was wondering why he isn't potty trained yet". I let him know that he was only 20 months and the man almost flipped out. He thought he was at least 3 and should be attempting to use the potty. teeehheeeheheh! He said partly because of Walker's size but also because of his communication. Walker was telling him (in words that made no sense but you knew what he wanted to say) that the heater was broken. First off, he carried the man to his bedroom to show off his room, then he carried him to the heater, opened the door, got his drill, pointed it at the heater and said, "ut oh"..the man asked if it was broken and Walker said "oh no". So, the man understood and thought surely the little fella was older than 20 months. Oh well, so grows the boy! He is talking more and can communicate well, even if a lot of what he says is "he went varooom" or "...went baaaagggarrrrrraoooooom". We figure it out anyway. We are working on potty training at Walker's pace. If we see him pulling at himself, we ask him if he wants to potty. Sometimes he says yes, sometimes he says no, we don't push it either way. Sometimes he just takes his pull-up off and goes on his own. We never know what to expect.

On being pg, just as eventful as with Walker. I'll be 26 weeks on Wednesday, I'm having lots of contractions, too many I think but we will see what they think on Wednesday. I"m having tons of pressure in my bottom and ligament pain and I assume that is normal. Most folks agree it is too early for the bones to hurt but with the pubic symp. seperation I had with Walker, I guess I just expected it. Stairs, rolling over in bed, picking up Walker, all those things are quite painful and I am a big baby anyway.

Ivan did mild damage and left us without power but otherwise, we are fine!

I'm cutting this shorter than I meant to, I'll be back soon, I promise!

Thanks for reading,
Jerri Ann and the 2 bugs!
